Roselle's P.O.V
"Roselle" my dad called again when I didn't move from the position I was.
I sighed before turning towards them, dreading the talk we are about to have.
"Come take a seat" mum said gently
I wanted to argue but the look on my mum's face is really making me feel bad so I just nodded and took a seat on the love seat in front of them.
"We are sorry" dad said and I just kept starring at them not saying anything, I don't know I'm not trying to be rude; I just don't know what to say.
"It's fine, I'm sorry for lashing out too" I eventually said, and mum moved forward shaking her head.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong, you were only expressing your feelings" she said.
"Have I ever done something wrong?" I asked.
"No" mum said.
"So why did you guys treat me like that?" I asked again and both my parents kept quiet.
"Was it because of my color?"
"Of course not Rose, you have a great skin color" dad said and I laughed lightly.
"It's all fine, I'm not angry with you guys, I was just getting overwhelmed with the attention, I'm still not used to it" I explained, and mum nodded sadly.
"We're sorry once again Roselle, we should have been better parents" mum begged and I nodded.
"I'm sorry too" I said and mum stood up and hugged me as much as she could with me on the chair.
Everyone makes mistake so I just have to forget and move on, at least they are trying to be better
"I got a job" I said smiling slightly as mum moved back.
"Really? Congratulations baby" mum said.
"Congratulations Rose, I've always been proud of you, even if I didn't show it and every day of my life I'll always regret and be sorry for that" dad said.
I smiled gently before telling them I need to sleep early in order not to be late for work tomorrow which they nodded and I went upstairs to my bedroom.
After reading through the contracts and schedules, it didn't take long for sleep to consume my mind.

The ring of my alarm clock woke me up and I felt annoyed at first when I saw it was still dark outside, but I stood up immediately when I remembered I was starting my job today.
I rushed and got dressed, it was still very dark outside but if I'm too leave now, I checked the address in some of the document I was given and if I'm too drive it will take me a total of 30minutes to reach Leonardo's house but I'm very bad at driving when it's dark, so I have no other choice than to take the bus.
The early morning bus leaves by 5:45 so I should arrive at his house before 6:30 or exactly on time. I checked the time and I'm shocked to see I had 10minutes left before I would miss the bus.
I left the house quietly not wanting to wake my parents, I don't know how I'm always going to do this because I have to take at least a five minutes' walk around the block to get to the bus station and for a lady it's really dangerous.
I walked quickly jumping at any sound I hear, scared out of my mind and I breathe a sigh of relief when I reached the bus station and sat down waiting quietly.
The bus should be here in two minutes, I thought as I checked my time.
The sound of the coming bus made me stand up and once it stopped, I quickly entered and took a seat swiping my bus card.
If this is going to be a everyday thing then I'm sure it's really going to affect me, I'm not a morning person at all so I hardly think I'll have enough time for myself talk less of one to sleep enough.
I reached my destination not too long after and I sighed as I realized I have like another 5 minutes' walk to Leonardo's mansion as I checked the map.
I walked quickly as I followed the map, and my mouth was agape as I starred at the mansion in front of me.
This is insane, I don't even know how to describe the mansion.
"Can I help you?" A voice startled me at the other side of the gate, it seems to be one of the securities.
"Good morning, I am Mr. King's assistant, he told me to be here before 6:30" I explained, and he eyed me carefully nodding his head before touching his ear and opening the gate. I guess someone spoke to him through the earpiece in his ear.
The walk to the front door was silent as I took in my surrounding. The guard pressed the door bell and a lady opened it immediately starring me down and I smiled awkwardly. I look to the guard for help and I noticed he left already. Well I think I'm left to handle this on my own.
"Hi" I greeted awkwardly and she just looked up at me before walking inside, well someone is moody.
I followed her quickly not having enough time to admire the interior design of the building.
"Go upstairs, the last door to the right at the hallway is the boss's office, he's in there" she said after stopping suddenly and I nodded saying a little thank you before making my way up the stairs but her voice stopped me again.
"Mind you don't try anything funny" she hissed before leaving abruptly towards a door around the corner and I just starred at her shocked. Okay the fuck is wrong with this girl, I wasn't the one who stuck a stick up her ass so what is with the attitude.
I huffed annoyed before I continued up the stairs, I followed her direction and I stood in front of a double doors and I shakily brought my hand up and knocked.
"Come in" I heard Leonardo's gruff voice speak and I entered closing the door behind me.
"Good morning" I greeted and I was meant with silence, he didn't even look up from whatever he is doing. It seems everyone in this house has an attitude today.
I stood awkwardly not knowing what to do and at this moment I'm starting to hate my job but the pay is high, I get easily frustrated and at this moment I hope I don't snap.
"You're late" he finally said and I looked at him almost at the verge of crying.
"I got here befo..." I was cut off with the raise of his hand.
Rude!
"I don't need excuses, but Miss Grey I would like you to know I don't tolerate tardiness, so make sure this doesn't repeat itself" he said and I looked at him like I should strangle him already.
"I'm sorry" I apologized politely and he nodded.
We spent the next 15min going over his schedule before we started preparing to head to his office.
We got into his car as his driver drove us.
"Have you had breakfast?" He asked and I realized he must have heard my stomach growl, I didn't eat dinner yesterday so I don't blame my stomach. I blushed lightly nodding my head.
"No sir" I said, maybe he's going to stop and we'll get something from a restaurant.
"Too bad, we have a long day ahead and I don't think we will have time for food till the end of the day" he said and I looked at him in horror.
