...
"Huh?" As Ron withdrew his hand, Aisa immediately felt a profound change within herself. Her ability had improved significantly, and the enhancement to her physical fitness was evident as well. While the increase in her spiritual attribute was the most pronounced—reaching an astonishing 156, much higher than Apis's boost from her Devil Fruit ability—it was indeed an extraordinary leap.
Ron was puzzled as well. "Why did Aisa's spiritual attribute increase to such a high level, while Apis's improvement was much smaller despite having a similar type of ability?"
The system chimed in: "Host, the difference lies in natural talent. Aisa possesses an extraordinary affinity for Observation Haki, which is known as the Mantra on Skypiea. Due to this exceptional talent, the increase in her spiritual attribute is considerably higher."
"That makes sense," Ron nodded, feeling satisfied with the explanation.
"Wow, Brother Ron, my Mantra feels so much stronger now!" Aisa exclaimed joyfully.
"Aisa, have you awakened a new ability?" Apis asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.
"I've always had Mantra," Aisa replied. "In Skypiea, a few people have the ability, including the previous 'god,' Enel."
"Hm," Ron explained, "The ability you know as Mantra is called Observation Haki in the world below. Observation Haki allows you to sense the presence, emotions, and strength of others and can even be used to predict movements. There are two other types of Haki as well: Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki."
"Wow, really?" Aisa blinked, looking at Ron in amazement. "Do you know how to use them?"
"Of course," Ron nodded. "My Observation Haki is maxed out, and I've awakened the ability to foresee the future. I thought that when you reached the full level, you might gain the same power. But it seems like you've awakened something different: Life Perception. Why don't you show us how it works?"
"Okay!" Aisa bit her lip, thinking for a moment. "This ability lets me sense the life force of people around me. Right now, I can tell that Brother Ron's life force is the strongest by far—it's like staring at a blazing sun!" (TN - Another stupid ability)
The others looked at Ron in astonishment.
Ron smirked. Given my physical prowess and attributes, it's no surprise my life force is the strongest in the world, he thought. I might even surpass the likes of Kaido or the largest Sea Kings, though without a direct comparison, I can't say for sure.
Aisa continued scanning the group. "Hmm, the life forces of Apis, Marianne, and myself are relatively small. Conis's pet Sisi has the weakest life force of all. Apis's little dragon, though, has an incredibly strong life force—second only to Brother Ron's. Sister Vivi, Sister Tashigi, and Sister Raki's life forces are also quite strong. Everyone's life force is much stronger than mine."
"What about me?" Kaya asked curiously.
"Sister Kaya's life force is normal, while Nami's is similar to Sister Vivi's," Aisa replied.
Seeing Kaya's slightly disappointed expression, Ron chuckled.
In a way, Aisa's ability was like having a health points detector. The strength of a person's life force could be seen as an indicator of their vitality or health. Combined with Kaya's medical skills, this ability could certainly aid in healing or diagnosis.
"But..." Aisa hesitated. "Among all of us, Conis has the weakest life force, aside from the animals."
"Me?" Conis asked in surprise.
"Well, Conis is just an ordinary person," Ron explained with a reassuring smile. "You don't need to worry about it. Let me see what skills you have, Conis."
"Okay," she replied nervously, stepping forward.
Ron placed his hand on Conis's forehead, and after a moment, he pulled away with a curious expression.
"Conis, your only skill is cooking," Ron said.
"Oh… I've never really been a fighter, and I don't have any other special talents," Conis admitted, a little disheartened.
"Don't be disappointed," Ron said encouragingly. "There are plenty of us here, and you don't need to fight. Just focus on improving your cooking skills. You can help Makino and the others prepare meals for everyone. That's just as important."
Conis nodded, though she couldn't completely hide the small sense of disappointment.
Ron activated her data panel and proceeded to enhance her skill.
Character Name: Conis
Strength: 5
Physique: 7
Agility: 6
Spirit: 9
Skill:
Cooking: 4 → 100 (Maxed)
Conis's attributes were indeed low, even after maxing out her cooking skill. Her overall stats remained close to those of a regular person, but as Ron had said, she wasn't required to fight.
"Wow, I suddenly know so much about cooking!" Conis exclaimed, her disappointment fading. With her new culinary skills, she felt she could contribute significantly.
Blushing, she turned to Ron and said, "Thank you, Ron."
"We're all crew members here—no need to thank me," Ron replied with a wave of his hand.
"Okay!" Conis nodded enthusiastically and then joined Makino. "Sister Makino, let me help with the cooking!"
"Sure!" Makino said, taking Conis's hand. She waved at Nojiko, who was nearby. "Let's go prepare a feast for everyone!"
"Yes! We have so many ingredients today; let's make something special!" Nojiko agreed with a cheerful smile.
"Yay!" Aisa and Apis cheered, jumping up and down in delight. "We're having a feast later!"
"Squeak!"
Apis's little dragon and Conis's fox Sisi cried out happily, joining in the excitement.
Meanwhile, Vivi watched Apis and Conis's pets, feeling a bit melancholic. The sight made her think of her own pet, Karoo. When Ron had taken her on this journey, she hadn't been able to bring Karoo along. She wondered how her loyal duck was faring back in Alabasta.
