Bang!
Thunder crashed down!
The terrifying heat and paralyzing power of the lightning surged toward Ron. Yet, Ron's expression remained steady. Although the speed of Enel's lightning was overwhelming, his Observation Haki had already foreseen his move.
The moment Enel acted, Ron had swiftly pushed Nami toward Raki and advanced toward Enel himself, completely ignoring the massive bolt of lightning descending overhead.
With a thunderous crack, the lightning struck the top of Ron's head.
However—
Enel's triumphant expression froze in an instant!
What did he just see?
"This... can't be!" Enel stammered, his jaw nearly dropping.
The terrifying bolt of lightning that descended had no effect on Ron at all.
Ron stood there as if the lightning was nothing, a faint purple-red aura enveloping his body, blocking most of the electrical charge. Even the occasional surge that penetrated his barrier was shrugged off by Ron's remarkably powerful physique. "This level of power is like childs play to me," Ron said calmly, his voice filled with contempt. "Are you toying with me, Enel?"
"He's so strong!" Raki exclaimed in awe, watching as Ron shrugged off Enel's lightning attack.
"That guy..." Nami rubbed her forehead and said, "He's always so dramatic. But I'm not worried. Enel may seem powerful, but he's not on the level of the Four Emperors. Ron is more than capable of defeating him. Enel should be the one worried."
"One hundred million volts and you're still standing?" Enel's voice trembled as he stared at Ron in disbelief. He hadn't expected anyone to withstand an attack of that magnitude, let alone so effortlessly. "Who could possibly endure such a terrifying assault? And yet, this bastard did."
"You've never been to the Grand Line, so you wouldn't know that there are plenty of people out there who can endure such attacks," Ron replied, shaking his head. "Now, why don't you try taking one of mine?"
Ron drew his sword and swung it at Enel in a simple slash. Yet, in his hands, the slash carried an overwhelming force that seemed to split the air itself. Enel's pupils contracted as he dodged, his body moving with the speed of lightning.
Just as the sword's light was about to cleave the golden ship, it suddenly changed direction, as if guided by an unseen force, and pursued Enel's rapidly moving figure.
"Damn it!" Enel shouted, his voice low and urgent. "Elementalization!"
Since Ron's sword did not carry the coating of Armament Haki, the sword light gradually dissipated after passing through Enel's form.
Enel's figure reappeared, gasping for breath as he stared at Ron, his expression serious. "I didn't expect your attack to be able to follow me. you're truly terrifying!"
"Oh? You actually managed to avoid it?" Ron said with a slight grin. "The power of Logia fruits is indeed remarkable, allowing you to evade physical attacks. Quite impressive."
"Hmph, at least you understand that much," Enel sneered. "With my elemental abilities, I'm practically invincible. You can't defeat me!"
Ron scoffed. "You're ignorant, Enel. Far too ignorant."
"Oh, am I? I am the god of Skypiea, and you dare call me ignorant?" Enel's sneer deepened as he struck the drum behind him. Lightning burst forth, and he glared at Ron with a malevolent grin. "Very well, boy. Let me show you my true power!"
"Thor's Wrath: 200 million volts!" Enel bellowed. "Now, die!"
A massive bolt of lightning surged toward Ron, even more powerful and destructive than before. This time, the power behind the attack was enough to obliterate anyone, even someone at the level of a Warlord.
The sheer force of 200 million volts was indeed overwhelming!
Ron's expression hardened as he raised his sword. The blade glowed with a purple-red aura, shrouded in Armament Haki. As the lightning struck, the Haki shield absorbed nearly all of the energy, with only a small fraction breaking through. But Ron's ironclad physique was more than capable of withstanding even that.
"This strike will decide the outcome," Ron murmured, and in a blur of motion, he closed the gap between himself and Enel, thrusting his blade forward.
"No, this can't be!" Enel's eyes widened in horror and disbelief as the blade pierced through his heart, the force of the strike breaking through his elemental defense.
With an Armament Haki-infused sword, Ron shattered Enel's elemental form. Yet, he knew that Enel would not die so easily; there was still more to be done.
Ron's grin widened as he looked into Enel's despair-filled eyes. "This is why I came here, Enel. Your Goro Goro no Mi is mine."
"What...?" Enel began, but before he could react, a black cloth was thrown over him, sealing off his escape.
"Nami!" Ron called out, appearing beside her before she could even react. He grabbed her arm and pulled her toward Enel. "You've witnessed the power of the Goro Goro no Mi. It suits you perfectly. Now, seize this opportunity and claim it for yourself."
"Wait, you're giving me this Devil Fruit?" Nami asked, her eyes wide with shock. She couldn't believe Ron would let her have such a powerful ability.
"Go on!" Ron encouraged, pinching her nose playfully before pushing her forward. "Finish him off. Use the sword I gave you."
"...Thank you," Nami said softly, her voice trembling with gratitude as she entered the black cloth.
Inside, Enel was barely conscious, teetering on the brink of death. But he still had some strength left and was determined to use it. When he saw that it wasn't Ron who had entered the black cloth but a girl, his resolve hardened. He would gather the last of his power and strike.
However, outside the black cloth, Ron had already sensed Enel's intentions. With a single stomp, he sent a pulse of haki that disrupted the buildup of thunder in Enel's body.
Despair filled Enel's eyes as he realized his last hope was gone.
Nami gritted her teeth, thinking of everything Ron had done to make this possible. She couldn't let him down. Clutching the hilt of Sandai Kitetsu with both hands, she thrust the blade further into Enel's chest and twisted it violently.
Enel's face contorted with agony as his heart was reduced to pulp, his eyes losing their luster. The Devil Fruit's power within him sensed the death of its host and began to escape, attempting to find a new vessel.
But the black cloth, imbued with special properties, prevented the Goro Goro no Mi from escaping. With no other choice, the power was absorbed by the only other living being inside the cloth—Nami. (TN - This is one of the reasons I stopped translating this fic)
Bang!
Enel's lifeless body hit the ground, and Nami emerged from the black cloth, her hands crackling with electricity. staring at her palms in disbelief.
"The power of lightning... it's mine," she whispered, a mix of shock and exhilaration coursing through her.
