...
As Vivi took a few bites of her meal, her thoughts weighed heavily on her mind and took away her appetite. She couldn't understand how her carefully guarded secret had been breached, leading to Crocodile's agents closing in on her. Now Igaram was at a loss, unsure of her next move.
Casting a wary glance at the white-clad teenager at the next table, Vivi recognized him as Ron, the notorious figure who had recently made waves as the leader of the Sword and Rose Pirates. True to the rumors, Ron was accompanied by a group of strikingly beautiful young women.
Ron embodied power with his formidable swordsmanship, while his companions exuded beauty and grace, earning their crew the nickname Sword and Rose.
Hungry and desperate, Vivi had sought refuge in this nondescript tavern. Initially planning to blend in with the other patrons and slip away unnoticed, she reconsidered when she spotted Ron and his companions, hoping that they might provide a shield against her relentless pursuers.
'Forgive me, Ron, and you lovely ladies. I'll make it up to you once I've escaped this pursuit,' Vivi silently vowed to herself.
Unknown to Vivi, Ron already knew her true identity and her predicament.
According to the timeline of this period, Vivi shouldn't have revealed her true identity yet. However, due to the temporal ripples caused by Ron's actions as a traverser, the natural course of events in the world had begun to unravel.
Suddenly, Vivi tensed as she heard an unfamiliar sound similar to a frog croaking.
"Oh no," she muttered under her breath. "The unluckies... They've already caught up!"
With a sense of urgency, Vivi rose from her seat.
Meanwhile, Kaya approached Vivi with a warm smile. "Hi there! I'm Kaya. What's your name?"
Caught off guard, Vivi hesitated. She had been on the verge of revealing her code name from Baroque Works, but realizing that her cover had been blown, she simply replied, "I'm Vivi!"
Undeterred by Vivi's guarded demeanor, Kaya continued with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. "Are you here alone?" With a subtle grin, she couldn't help but wonder if Vivi's appearance matched Ron's preferences.
"Yes," Vivi replied with a forced smile. She was being chased, and her pursuers were about to arrive at the tavern. She wasn't in the mood for idle chatter with Kaya.
"If you're alone, why don't you join us? There's room over there," Kaya suggested, pointing to Ron's table.
Relieved, Vivi followed Kaya to the table where Ron and his crew were sitting. Sitting next to Ron felt like a safe choice. After all, Ron was a notorious pirate with a bounty of five hundred million Beli on his head. Although Baroque Work had their own agents, Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, their Devil Fruit abilities might not be enough to handle someone with such a large bounty.
When they arrived at the table, Kaya introduced Vivi as her new friend. "Her name is Vivi," she said happily.
"Hello," Ron greeted Vivi with a warm smile. "I'm Ron."
"Hello, Mr. Ron," Vivi replied, smiling at Ron as if he were a knight in shining armor.
Nami, although she pouted at Ron, greeted Vivi friendly. "Hello, Vivi. I'm Nami. Nice to meet you."
"Hello, Nami," Vivi replied with a friendly wave.
"My name is Apis," Apis chimed in, holding a baby dragon in one hand and extending the other to Vivi.
"Hello, Apis," Vivi greeted Apis with a smile.
"I'm Nojiko."
"I'm Makino."
"I'm Tashigi!"
After the introductions, the girls engaged in lively conversation, leaving Ron somewhat on the sidelines. However, Ron remained unperturbed. He waited calmly for the next development, confident in his ability to handle whatever came their way.
Suddenly, another strange sound rang out, causing Vivi to shake slightly. Ron sensed a connection between the strange sound and Vivi's reaction.
The tavern door burst open with a loud bang, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Standing in the doorway were two individuals - a man with an explosive hairstyle and a woman in a round hat holding a small umbrella.
Ron recognized Miss Valentine, but couldn't remember the man's identity. However, he vaguely remembered him as someone who used snot-based attacks.
When their eyes met, Vivi instinctively lowered her head, hoping to avoid detection.
But it was clear that the new arrivals had recognized her. The snot-wielding man addressed her coldly, "Princess Vivi, I've finally found you!"
"Princess Vivi, you're going to make a nice meal for the family!" Miss Valentine said with a sinister smile. (T/N: I really don't understand this one)
"And as for the rest of you, get out of our way!" the booger man added, casting a disdainful glance at the other patrons.
Incensed, one of the patrons stood up to confront the snot man. "Who do you think you are?"
"Prepare to be surprised!" the snotty man replied arrogantly. With a flick of his finger, he hurled a lump of black, viscous snot at the man, sending him crashing through the tavern wall with incredible force.
Witnessing this display of power, the other patrons fled in terror.
Ron couldn't help but smile at the chaotic scene unfolding before him. It seemed to reflect the future he had predicted with uncanny accuracy.
"The power of foresight is truly remarkable," Ron mused to himself.
