"This... Did he really win?"

The corners of Monkey D. Dragon's mouth twitched. He couldn't imagine that right before his eyes, the former number one swordsman in the world, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, had been defeated by a pirate rookie who hadn't even officially set sail on the Grand Line.

He was just a teenager who hadn't even set out on a great adventure yet!

This young man named Ron had just today defeated the world's number one swordsman on Reverse Mountain, the world's highest peak, and had officially risen to the position of the world's strongest swordsman!

How was it possible for such a young man to accomplish such a feat?

Monkey D. Dragon was speechless. His cloaked face was filled with shock. "This... Is this really a boy less than twenty years old?"

He couldn't believe it. Even the old man who watched the battle from afar, his hands shaking slightly, couldn't believe it. The corners of his mouth twitched, and his cloudy eyes were full of shock. "A boy who hasn't entered the great lineage has defeated the number one swordsman in the world? Am I hallucinating?"

"Gollum..."

Even the news birds in the sky were stunned. Their intelligence wasn't low, and several birds exchanged glances, each seeing the astonishment in the other's eyes. Now that the battle was over, several birds immediately flapped their wings and flew away, desperately flapping their wings to reach the nearest newspaper branch.

This was big news. The number one swordsman in the world had been dethroned. What news could be more sensational than this?

Absolutely nothing!

A nineteen-year-old boy defeating one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, a forty-one-year-old Prime, Hawkeye Mihawk, and becoming the world's newest strongest swordsman, this news would shake the world!

Such news had to be reported to Morgans as soon as possible!

It was imperative!

Ron pulled the sword from his hand, the black lines on the blade slowly retracting, accompanied by a cracking sound as the sword was sheathed. At that moment, Dream, which had been damaged by the clash with the Supreme Grade Sword earlier, finally couldn't withstand the strain and shattered.

"It's a shame!" Mihawk returned his black sword to his back, watched Ron's sword shatter, and couldn't help but sigh. "It's rare to see such a great sword, and now it's broken!"

Ron couldn't help but chuckle.

Mihawk really was a master swordsman. Even in defeat, he worried about the fate of Ron's sword.

"That's a great graded blade; it's not so easy to make," Mihawk shook his head. "When our swords clashed just now, you didn't even use armament haki. Of course, your Dream couldn't withstand the attack of my black sword, which was infused with Armament Haki. Combined with the power of your dragon slash, the impact of the two was too much for your Dream to withstand. Fortunately, it didn't shatter on the spot. Unfortunately, it has now!"

"Don't worry," Ron replied nonchalantly. Dream was just a makeshift weapon he had made in Logue Town. He planned to make a better one when he had the chance, and to continue the tradition with a new name.

"Mihawk, is our duel over?" Ron inquired.

"Yes," Mihawk nodded solemnly. "You defeated me, quite..."

Hawkeye paused, searching for the right words. "Demonic!"

He had no other way to describe Ron's skills than as something otherworldly.

"Oh, in that case, I'll say goodbye. My ship is waiting for me below," Ron said and prepared to leave.

But just as Ron was about to leave, Mihawk called out to him. "Wait, Ron. Even though I know that you can defeat me and that your strength exceeds mine, be it in swordsmanship or haki, with your potential, if you continue to improve your skills, you could surpass all swordsmen past and present. If possible, I still hope you could..."

"No need," Ron interrupted, waving his hand. "Mihawk, everyone has their own dreams and paths to follow. Just as you are dedicated to swordsmanship, my aspirations will not change."

"That's too bad," Mihawk sighed, realizing that Ron was determined. "Well, let's not dwell on it. If fate allows, we may meet again. And when we do, I will have grown stronger. I will reclaim the title of the strongest swordsman in the world from you!"

"I'll be waiting," Ron replied with a casual smile.

Unfortunately, Mihawk might indeed be stronger the next time they met. But he would still pale in comparison to Ron's extraordinary skills.

With a nod, Mihawk turned away without a second thought and jumped down, his destination unknown.

Watching Mihawk's departure, Ron turned his gaze to a cloaked figure nearby.

"What an extraordinary young man," Dragon remarked after a brief silence. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am the leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dragon. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ron."

"The leader of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon?" Ron acknowledged Dragon's identity, having recognized him earlier. With a smile, he asked, "Now that the battle is over, do you have anything to discuss with me?"

"You have a remarkable talent," Dragon continued, "to learn the observation and armament haki during your battle with Mihawk and to integrate it to such a high level in such a short time is truly remarkable.

Dragon found himself unable to fully describe Ron in conventional terms and could only resort to calling him demonic and extraordinary.

"What's next?" Ron inquired.

"If you're willing, would you consider joining the Revolutionary Army?" Dragon suggested solemnly. "If you accept, the position of deputy leader will be yours."

"Join the revolutionary army?" Ron was slightly stunned. He hadn't expected that Dragon, Luffy's father, would invite him to join the revolutionary cause. It was completely unexpected for him.

Ron immediately shook his head, somewhat amused at the idea of joining the Revolutionary Army and following Dragon. "Thank you for the kind invitation, Mr. Dragon, but I prefer to keep my freedom. I still have my sights set on the Grand Line, so I'm afraid I must decline."

Monkey D. Dragon couldn't hide his disappointment when he heard Ron's refusal. Although he knew it would be a challenge to recruit someone of Ron's caliber, he hadn't expected such a direct rejection.

"Freedom? I assure you, joining us wouldn't limit your freedom in any way. Won't you reconsider?" Dragon persisted.

"There is no need," Ron replied firmly. "I have no intention of joining the Revolutionary Army."

Seeing the disappointment on Dragon's face, Ron offered a reassuring smile. "But we can still work together."

"Collaborate?" Dragon paused, intrigued by Ron's suggestion.

"Yes," Ron continued. "Your goal is to overthrow the world government and challenge the Celestial Dragons. As a pirate, I am naturally opposed to the Navy and the World Government. Our interests coincide, making us natural allies. Perhaps in the future, if the opportunity arises, we could join forces against the World Government. But that's for another time. It's too early to discuss it."

Indeed, it was premature. Ron hadn't even begun his journey through the Grand Line. When he felt he had learned enough, he might consider joining Monkey D. Dragon in his quest to overthrow the Celestial Dragons.

"Collaboration?" Dragon thought for a moment before nodding. "Very well, there may be opportunities for collaboration in the future."

With that, Dragon decided not to push the matter any further. He knew that Ron was firm in his decision and it wouldn't be easy to change his mind with a few words. Turning away, Dragon left Ron to his own devices.

Watching Dragon leave, Ron's thoughts turned away from the summit of Reverse Mountain, where he had claimed victory as the world's strongest swordsman, and focused instead on Dragon's departure. With a leap, Dragon descended toward the East Blue, undeterred by the pouring rain.
