"Spirits of old, by my grace and divinity, you may now rest in peace…"
The magic circle lights up as a blue pillar of light shot out into the heavens. Numerous wisps and smokey figures slowly ascends from the grave, finally freed from its eternal torment. All the corpses either burn to dust or simply fell over motionless as it was freed from the shackles of undying.
After a few minutes, the spell stopped and the goddess standing in the middle of it walked back towards me. "Aah… Do I really have to do this every night?" she spoke with a slight yawn and annoyed expression. "Heck, do I get paid for doing this?"
"That kinda proves Wiz's point about the priests in this town…" I mumbled to myself
It seems Aqua heard that because she suddenly puffed her cheeks in annoyance. "Well, that undead is probably up for something, y-yeah! That's right, that stupid Lich must be concocting some devious plan around this grave site!"
I don't think she'll let you replace her so easily if that was the case, but I managed to kept that part to myself.
"Ne, Kazuma, how about if I put a magic circle on this graveyard. You know, to permanently force the spirits out of this cemetery?" Aqua asked as we made our way back to the city.
"What will happen to the spirits after you kicked them out of here?"
Aqua blinked a little. "W-well… They might just naturally fade away or…"
"Or they might start haunting the town?"
The silence tells me everything I need to know.
"You really don't want to do this every night, huh?"
After a moment, Aqua took a deep breath and looked at me. "W-well, I'll do it, on one condition,"
"You want me to raise your salary?"
"N-no! I mean yes please, but not just that," Aqua sighed a little. "You will accompany every night from now on, okay?"
I dared myself to take her hand and her face reddens a little. "Sure, think of it as our nightly stroll," I smiled a little at the thought. "Maybe we can bring some snacks or something similar, how about it? A nightly stroll under the moonlit sky, sounds like something out of a manga isn't it?"
"Y-yes, I'd like that…" the girl slowly leaned herself to my body and hugged my arm a little. "But you're still raising my salary, okay?"
"Sure, sure…"
And thus concludes my nightly routine with Aqua.

"Darkness, I need a training partner," I told absentmindedly after coming back from armor shopping. "I want to start making a DPS chart, you who has a powerful defense makes a good benchmark."
Darkness tilted her head a little. "Sorry, I'm not familiar with the term DPS," she then looked at her hands. "And I'm not that good with fighting or am I as smart as you, so I'm not sure I can be of help."
"Basically I want to start calculating the damage of my attacks. To do that, I need living target, because that's the only way Aqua, as a healer, could see the damage being done," a sudden gasp and a sensuous moan followed my statement. "You said I can use you as I want right? Well now I am, I'm using you as my test subject and a mere punching bag."
"Ahnn… I knew it… Even if you're a legend deep down you're…" Darkness gazed at me with that lecherous grin on her face. "You're actually a rotten person who'd…"
"Don't be mistaken Darkness, I'm a very, very merciful and compassionate person. I treat girls like Aqua and Megumin with respect," I looked at her flatly. "I just don't think you as a person. Just a pretty cool shield I picked up along the way. Now shut up and follow me."
I didn't mean that of course. But judging by that downright orgasmic look on Darkness's face, I'm assuming that it was one of the greatest compliment she's ever had in a while. In other words, I get to pour in all my frustration on this not-right-in-the-head girl and she'll be extremely happy.
"I am… just a thing… I'm just a thing Kazuma picked up along the way…" she panted heavily. "I'm just Kazuma's thing…"
After walking through the city and drawing some looks, we finally made it in front of my stable. There, I saw Aqua hanging some laundry, using her own staff as a clothes hanger. "Yo, Aqua! Good afternoon!"
"Ah, Kazuma, Darkness!" Aqua walked towards us and stopped for a moment after noticing the look on Darkness's face. "Uhh, what's wrong with her?"
"I dunno, say, I want to test some spell on this," I knocked on Darkness's plate a little. "Seems sturdy enough, can you help me calculate the damage and see how much each reduce its HP? Oh and fix it up later, thank you."
Aqua blinked a little before nodding. "O-okay…"
With that, I moved Darkness at a large clearing near the stables and stood a few feet in front of her. "Hmm… Hold on," I walked towards her and forcefully opened the clasps on her armor. "Don't want this expensive armor to get damage now, do we?"
At this point, Darkness is just speaking gibberish to herself. I don't even want to begin to decipher what's on her mind right now, I literally just want to use her as a bench mark. "Okay, Aqua, you ready?"
Aqua, who has Darkness's adventurer cards in her hands nodded a little. "Ready!"
I nodded a little. "Yosh! First off, basic attack," I charged towards her and slashed at her.
It ripped her tight suit but didn't seem to get through her skin. "What's the damage Aqua?"
"Extremely small, just ten out of five thousand and five hundred," Aqua wrote something on the note. "Okay, next!"
I took a deep breath and channeled some fire element into my sword. "Okay, now fire enhanced basic attack," A slight burn mark could be seen from where my sword hits her. I took a step back and turned around. "How is it Aqua?"
"Oh, that's great Kazuma, fifty HP damage!"
I grinned a little and pushed more mana into the sword. The flame glows brighter and hotter before my sword doubles in size. "Here goes something!!!" I exclaimed before slicing at her body with as much power as I can.
"Whoa! Kazuma, that was one hundred and fifty HP damage!"
I let go of the spell and my sword turned to normal. "Okay Aqua, do you have a piece of cloth?"
Aqua tilted her face in confusion. "I don't?"
"Then I'll just have to improvise," I looked at Darkness panting heavily in front of me and prepared one of my finishing combo. I created earth in my palm and blowing it with wind, blinding her. Once she's blinded, I activated all my stealth skill and hit her from behind.
Sneak attack basically gives a critical buff and backstab ignores all resistance. The result is…
"Gyaaah!!! Khh… Khhh…" a pained yet pleasurable moan came from Darkness. A shower of blood came from the large wound behind her back and I quickly took a step back.
"Aqua!" I exclaimed.
"Seven hundred and fifty!" she hurried towards me. "That was a powerful attack Kazuma! How did you do that?"
"Cuz I'm awesome," I replied, not wanting to waste my time explaining. "Now let's try this with an elemental damage," I took a deep breath. "Do elemental damage crit in this world? I have to know that…"
With that, I blinded Darkness once again and struck her back with my elemental damage enhanced with all of my skills. The result, well, judging by the scorched wound on Darkness's back and the pained bliss on her face, I'd say it's pretty good.
"Th-that was fifteen hundred damage!" Aqua looked at me in amazement. "That can kill anything but the strongest crusader in one hit!"
I grinned a little at that. "That's great Aqua," I turned towards Darkness and saw her kneeling on the ground in bliss. "Also, fix that thing up, the sooner we get this done, the better…"
And thus concludes my daily training with Darkness.

Please don't mistake me as a sadist, you know she wants to be treated like this.
