--- Continuation ---
Doma's body was shot like a cannon ball smashing onto the nearby building.
The building then collapse unable to stand still after having its foundation destroyed.
Doma was buried under the rubbles but such a trivial matter doesn't affect a demon.
Kanae finally snapped out from her life flashing before her eyes shuddered as she took a step back looking at the child that just kicked an upper moon two as if he was a ball.
She touch her cheek and she notice blood trickling down, a cut that resulted from a mere air pressure of a kid's kick.
"Oops, sorry big sis I didn't meant to injure you."
I approach Kanae with a worried expression.
Kai's behavior slowly degraded to that of a child's to fit his current body and young soul, and he couldn't do anything to prevent this as this is the natural order of things.
Thankfully, his memories wasn't affected by this change.
I wasn't able to hold back after seeing Doma take advantage of the opening that Kanae showed due to my presence.
No way I am going to let her die.
Kanae was taken aback by the worry the monstrous child showed.
She could tell that he is genuine worry for her well being which stunned her.
She first thought that the child is a demon who has a grudge against her enemy but after looking at him she knew he wasn't also he didn't gave the same feeling as a demon.
This in turned baffled her greatly.
She couldn't fathom how a child the age of around 5 to 6 years old is able to send someone like Doma flying.
She could also tell that if she were to receive his attack he would die in an instant without much resistance.
"W-who…" – Kanae was about to question who the child was when a sudden burst of cold air exploded to where Doma crashed landed into.
'Damn, that kick is feisty my arms completely shattered. To think a child could exert such power. I only knew of a single person who has this much power from a mere physical and speed force, and it was Muzan-sama.'
'Who would have thought that a child can be as strong as Muzan-sama. This is certainly interesting.'
Doma came out from the rubbles a wide grin on his face amused at the situation as he look at Kai ignoring Kanae's presence completely.
"Hey, kiddo wanna become a demon." – Doma asked Kai.
He couldn't help but anticipate an outcome where the kid could become a demon.
How strong and powerful would he become.
Kanae hearing Doma's sudden proposal to Kai flinched.
She looks at Kai.
'I mustn't let him trick this kid.'
"K-kid don't listen to him…"
I raise my hand stopping Kanae from continuing.
"Sorry, but don't wanna."
"Eh, don't reject me outright. You know if you become a demon you'll be able to live forever, you don't have to worry about injuries, and you can grow stronger without limit, you might even become a god." – Doma began his flowery words.
Kanae look at Kai, she was glad that he had outright rejected the demon's proposal but now that Doma began his flowery words she was once again worried.
She knew how easily anyone could be enticed.
Moreover, the one Doma is enticing here is a kid.
'No matter how powerful he can be, he is still a kid.' - Kanae thought.
"Eh, is that all…" – I replied acting oblivious and dejected.
"…" – Upper moon 2, Doma.
"…" – Flower Hashira, Kanae.
"What do you…" – Doma was about to ask when Kai raised his finger to stop him which for some reason he did comply with.
"Nah, being a demon sucks. I don't wanna."
"…" – Upper moon 2, Doma.
"…" – Flower Hashira, Kanae.
Doma smiled creepily then the next second he appeared before me waving his fan trying to cut me in half but just as the fan was about to touch me a sword manifested out of thin air blocking the attack that could have really ended me.
I pulled out the sword from my inventory that got connected to my stomach. Nothing really changes between my skill and system function except that fact that both are connected.
Sparks can be seen in the point of contact between our weapons.
Doma is grinning from ear to ear as he observed my reaction and what he saw baffled him.
I have a nonchalant and stoic expression as if the shockwaves released with each collision we made is nothing.
He had discovered that I am at least a bit weaker than to him in terms of physical prowess and I cannot deny his assumption.
My earlier burst of power was due to me applying Cardinal Acceleration to my full power physical kick which in turn greatly enhanced my physical attack power.
Unfortunately, for him in terms of control I am superior.
---Clang---
I swung my katana down forcing Doma to step back as the ground we once stood was decimated into bits.
He grinned and dashed at me once more.
I also replied in kind appearing before him as we exchange blows.
---Pang---
---Pang---
---Pang---
We exchange blows, each of our attacks released enough force to annihilate any normal person into a pool of blood.
I decided to only used swords for now trying to unrivaled Doma's mastery.
Kanae on the side watches the scene with utter horror and awe unable to believe her own eyesight.
I appeared left, right, top, bottom, I appeared in every possible angle taking advantage of my current child like physics to perform actions hard to predict as I target each and every opening Doma exposed.
Doma was forced in a defensive stand as I moved in a speed of sound stabbing and slashing Doma in every angle.
Sparks continue to rain down as the houses were destroyed, burned or turned into ice.
My attacks were coated with the essence of Moonlight.
Unlike Sunshine which granted me overwhelming destructive power, Moonlight enhanced my penetrative, sharpness and damage dealt a thousand folds.
Each of my attacks carried enough penetrative power to pierce through the hardest elements in the world with literal ease.
I lowered my body holding my sword with both of my hands my left hand on the handle while my right hand on the pommel as I initiate a stabbing position.
Seeing this Doma quickly reacted ignoring the fact that he is bleeding all over his body, he positioned both of his fans to block my strike targeting his throat.
Unfortunately, for him the penetrative enhancement granted by Moonlight shattered his golden fans in contact as my sword struck straight to his throat piercing it.
I was about to twist my sword to end him when a chilling cold sensation passed through me.
It didn't do a thing to me but the same cannot be said when it comes to my sword that had been frozen in place as the sharp edge lost its sharpness.
I know that even if I cut him now it wouldn't be enough to kill him.
Thousands of ice shards appeared all around me striking at an incredible speed aiming to burrow holes all over my body.
I let go of my sword that was stack on Doma's neck as I summoned another sword this one a double edge one and there are two of them.
I am dual welding.
Ice shards rained upon me.
Using the two newly purchased swords from the shop I deflected each ice shard until nothing remained.
During this moment where I am preoccupied Doma step back distancing himself from me.
The always easygoing and smirk on his face was nowhere to be seen replaced by a very serious and cautious expression.
He pulled out the sword from his neck as the wound then began to regenerate in an instant.
'He isn't affected by the scattered powdered freeze from my fan. He even destroyed my precious fan which caught me off guard that almost result in my demise.'
Doma remembering that almost death experience seconds ago couldn't help but shudder.
'This kid is the real deal, a genuine monster hiding behind a innocent kids appearance just like master Muzan.'
He hadn't had gotten serious yet he almost died back then.
This is the reason for the complicated expression on his expression.
'He's going to take me seriously now.'
[You should have finished him off earlier.]
'Yeah, if the sword hadn't froze.'
[You should have purchased a higher quality weapon.]
Kai has no way to retort Rafael's words.
Just like how Doma is going easy, Kai is doing the same, the only difference is that he is aiming to kill Doma all this time while the latter is still playing around.
Unfortunately, he had underestimated Doma's brilliant mind.
Who would have thought that he would come up on a way to counter my sword at a moment of death.
It ain't something a normal person should be able to pull off as most people whether it be a genius or a common men, everyone should able feel fear at the notion of near death yet Doma here just shrugged it off like it was nothing.
He even came up with a brilliant plan to use the blood that trickled on his neck to freeze my sword.
His cryokinesis shouldn't have been able to stop me from beheading his head but with the addition of his blood his cryokinesis's effects was drastically enhanced to the point that I even felt frostbite on my hands despite my frost immunity.
He didn't just become serious but he also discovered something precious.
…
---Kanae's POV---
I can't follower their movements, these two are on a whole different level, all I can see were blurry figures and sparks of light I suspect the result between the clash of their weapons.
A upper moon demon and a monster in a human child's body.
Two individuals I couldn't hope of standing a chance.
The upper moon two is already this strong, just how strong is the upper moon one?
There's also Muzan the progenitor of all demons.
Just by merely imagining these things is enough to dampen Kanae's resolve.
Yet she still didn't let go of her faltering resolved.
She will fight until the end until all demons are irradiated.
Kanae clenched her fist in frustration she promised that if she were to survive this mess she'll train ten times harder at least to the point where she could see their movements.
