Geez, that's bright" Mike complained as he woke up heavy headed and confused as the sun streamed through the curtains and felt like it was shooting laser beams. He could barely open his eyes, because it hurts as a result of hangover.
The night before was blur as snippets of conversation, drinks at the bar kept flashing but her face remained very clear to him with her vivid red hair that shined so bright. He saw it from across the room and he was drawn to her, the attraction was undeniable that he just had to know her.
Between then and now they had spoken and from the pain in his head, they had few drinks but on waking up, nothing looked familiar and Mike couldn't help but wonder if where he was at the moment was ever his room. When he finally stood, and looked around, he realised that It was definitely not his room because it appeared small, simple and probably on the third floor of the hotel. The view out of the window was beautiful with white sandy beaches and the bright blue ocean.
"This isn't my bed" Mike complained but then, he noticed the tousled head of dark hair on the pillow next to him was a stranger. A beautiful tall-limbed stranger that he only remembered in flashes of memory from the night before.
There was music and they danced, her full lips which were soft, supple and tasted of cherries and her warm breath made him thirst for more of her. Mike couldn't get enough of her and all he wanted was for her to keep talking in his ear, to keep her face close to his. Their bodies weren't strangers hence they moved in a well-rehearsed dance from the bar to the dance floor, the elevator and to tumbling on the bed driven by carnal passion and desire with hands and tongues exploring each other and the only thing Mike remembered was escaping her barely parted lips were moans of pleasure. Not a name, not an intention but his body knew her every curve, where to touch and how to touch it but he had no idea who she was. The lady wriggled under the sheets turning and at that moment Mike got to see more of her face.
"Finally i know her name, Hadasah" Mike said as he stumbled across her identity card.
"I haven't been able to keep my eyes off her all night. Her eyes were a shade of blue that I haven't seen before. They were pale and speckled with brown and green, almost like marble and her eyes were big and curious which gave her a look of vulnerability and innocence and at that moment when I finally caught her eye, she looked so sad and lonely but I couldn't bear to leave her that way" Mike muttered as he stroked her hair while she was fast asleep.
Hadassah's lips pouted over the rim of her glass as she sipped her drink in a perfect and plump manner with the promise of pleasure as she circled the rim of the glass with her finger while they spoke.
Hadassah smiled and led Mike to the dance floor with her hips swaying and circling sensually while Mike with his two left feet swayed next to her and he pulled her closer to his body. She swayed against him and placed her arms around his neck touching his ears.
"How did she know? She just found my weakness so quickly" Mike said knowing that she had gotten him already.
But how did they end up in the elevator? It was a blur because they were joyfully elated like teenagers touching and kissing as they were transported from the lobby to her room without breaking contact. Her hands were soft and warm with her long fingers which felt delicate on his hands and skilful as they helped him out of his shirt.
Mike was on fire with a desire for her because he haven't felt that way in a long time, Her skin felt electrie under his palms
smoothly and warm, calling for his touch but Hadassah trailed kisses down his neck, awakening his senses with little nibbles as she went.
"I was under her spell and she was in full control leading me to the bed with a desire that matched my every jagged breath" Mike said as he pulled Hadassah up and kissed her while his hand explored her body, making her quiver and sweat until she guided his hands around her body showing him her secrets, telling him what to touch and how to.
"There's a guy I knew who built himself a great empire but destroyed it all when he met a lady at a bar and few weeks later, there were compromising pictures of him on tabloids. I thought he was foolish, but here I was in the same predicament. Should I stop or Is it too late?" Mike asked himself inwardly but Hadassah immediately guided him inside of her and he felt something break loose in him but he couldn't see the world beyond her. The quickness of her breath and the lust in her moans was all he knew until his phone buzzed in the far corner of the room where his clothes lay in a reckless heap.
"I need to leave now if i don't want to miss my flight" Mike muttered Inwardly as he took Hadassah in one last time. Her long tanned legs barely covered by the white duvet, her wild dark hair spread on the pillow like sun rays and her lips moulded in a perfect pout, begging to be kissed.
"If only there was another way" Mike said staring at Hadassah one more time before walking out of her hotel room trying to get his bearings. All the while flashes of the night before invaded his thoughts as he had never done anything like that before,
"I had never abandoned all reason and allowed myself to be led by desire to the bed of a woman especially one I didn't even know" Mike complained because In the last ten years, he had not allowed himself to be led into the bed of any woman for that matter. His wife's death was a wound that time was not healing fast enough and the thought of another woman still felt like a kind of betrayal but last night was entirely different.
Mike found his hotel suite but not without receiving tons of messages of course from his business partner Lizzy who always ensured that he wasn't bothered with messages from work, emails or calls. She updates him frequently on what was going on with his daughter Vera and today she sent him pictures.
"My four years old daughter was in the care of my best friend Sam and business partner Lizzy and they had baked cupcakes to welcome me home, If only the flight wasn't a full working day long" Mike muttered as he got undressed and stepped into the shower letting the hot water wash over his body.
"I haven't been to the gym in ages and it showed because there is a bit of wiggle in my belly and it's not impressive so i think I should probably head back to the gym or at least start jogging" Mike thought but then the hot water stung his back where Hadassah must have dug her nails into him leaving small raw reminders of their night together.
"No, I can't think of that now, I need to leave" Mike complained trying to distract himself from thinking about the previous night. There was no time to comb his hair so he ran his fingers
through his hair and tousled it a bit before grabbing his bag and headed out. While on his way out, a part of him wanted to bump into Hadassah and keep in touch, but another part of him wished he would never see her again so he wouldn't remember just how good her body felt against his.
"I need to get her off my mind" Mike muttered inwardly but then he had a sudden headache which was heavy and he felt like his brain was about to detach out of his skull. The last time he felt this way was before Vera was born and it was worse than he remembered.
Back in the university days while Mike and his late wife Kate were dating, they always wake up having hangovers. She was his partner in every aspect of his life, from watching sports games to reading for exams, getting married and building a life together was a natural next step even though it took them years to get to it. No cold feet, no fear of commitment instead things were just perfect the way they were. He never had a doubt in his mind that Kate was his soulmate but now she's gone, she died in a car accident when their daughter Vera was barely a year old. She just went to the pharmacy to get Vera some drugs but she never came back. It was so sudden, like an unexpected punch in the gut and it left Mike reeling from both pain and the shock constantly reminding himself that he would never see her again and that his little girl probably wouldn't even remember her mother.
