Kazuto had always been an exceptional mage, even by the standards of the powerful mage organization he belonged to. He had trained for years to master the arcane arts, and his skill and power had earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow mages. As he and his closest friends Yuki, Ayaka, and Shiro delved deeper into the forest, he felt a sense of excitement and anticipation.
"Something's not right," Kazuto said, looking around warily. "Be on your guard."
Yuki scoffed. "Don't be so paranoid, Kazuto. We're just on a routine mission."
Shiro nodded. "Yeah, we can handle whatever comes our way."
Ayaka looked between them, her expression troubled. "But Kazuto's never wrong about these things. Maybe we should be more careful."
As they continued through the forest, the tension grew thick. Suddenly, they were ambushed by a group of rogue mages. The fight was intense, but Kazuto and his friends managed to subdue the rogue mages.
However, as they prepared to leave the scene of the battle, Yuki suddenly turned on Kazuto, her eyes glowing with an eerie light. "You were always too powerful for your own good, Kazuto. It's time to take you down a notch."
Kazuto was caught off guard, his heart racing with fear and confusion. "What are you talking about, Yuki? We're friends!"
Ayaka's voice was thick with sadness. "We didn't want it to come to this, Kazuto. But you left us with no other choice."
Shiro stood silent, his expression unreadable.
As they closed in on him, Kazuto knew that he was outmatched. He did his best to defend himself, but it was no use. They overpowered him and left him broken and defeated on the ground.
As he lay there, struggling to breathe, he felt a deep sense of betrayal and confusion. "How could my closest friends turn on me like this? What had I done to deserve their wrath?"
With a fierce determination, Kazuto vowed to get to the bottom of their betrayal and seek revenge on those who had wronged him. But first, he needed to figure out why they had turned on him in the first place.
