Azrael landed a mess of ash that went all over the place, but the place was silent. Coal sat under Azrael while ash-stained obsidian walls camped around her. But there was no sign of Balrog or anything in sight, just kilometers of fog and coal. Azrael ventured into it until she came to a pit in the ground. She noticed the weakest hint of red at the bottom and let out a breath before retreating. She was aware of how to gain the creature's attention.
A gravel sound swiped through the place and the walls shook. Azrael took a step toward the edge again to find the red glow growing bigger and moving fast up the pit. She turned around before taking off to get a better stance, pulling out Scythe at her side and preparing to face the demonic monster. It was silent once again, which made Azrael huff and move towards the edge, only to be pushed away by the beast breaking through the floor.
She fell on her back, staring up at the monster with wide eyes. "Oh shit, here we go," she whispered to herself, standing to her feet to take in his massive state.
The monster was carved of stone, with the body of a skeleton, muscles of flames, and massive horns on each side of its skull. Azrael stood just the height of its big hoof, but she took a deep breath as his sword came barreling down towards her in a heavy swipe. She jumped towards the sword, landing on the sword and ran up it. While the beast lifted the sword and flicked her off; she went flying into a wall, crashing into it.
Nat pushed through the debris. "Maybe next time we don't run up a massive. moving sword," she murmured to herself.
Until she heard metal slicing through coal. In a big rush, she pushed herself through the rumble, leaping up over the sword, and broke out her wings. Hovering in front of him, and sliced the beast across its face with Scythe. She raised her arms in celebration at the sight, but in a swift move, his hand grabbed her and dragged her across the coal walls. Cracking the coal with her body until she stabbed his hand and he let go of her, she fell while watching the beast growl in pain.
She flipped over and landed on her "ok, ok" she ran away from it.
The chaos followed close behind her, but she didn't dare look back at the fiery monster. She dodged each bowlder of coal, stone, and elsewhere that was thrown at her. Keeping her focus on the end of the wall and with that in sight, she slowed down her stride for the demonic force to catch up. Until she jumped and kicked off the wall, jumping up over the beast while she sliced it in half. Using its body as an anchor to reach ground again while lava pooled from its halves and the beast fell to the ground. Azrael had to jump out of its way and hover over the body, but soon enough, it started coming back together.
The angel took a step back as the guttural roar pushed her hair back while its tail grabbed around her feet and flipped her over. Azrael lay there, dazed, with lava surrounding her ankles and her gaze fixed on the creature, which was puffing and panting in front of her. Azrael looked at Scythe before splitting it in half, lifting her body, and cutting Balrog's tail off. Azrael fell until her wings held her steady and she ascended once more. An idea flashed past her eyes while she stared upward.
Azrael began to fly upward as the demonic beast cracked open its wings and followed her. She maneuvers through the hanging stone bridges, through the lava that leaked from the way up high, through valleys and rivers of fire. Until he reached for her legs, wanting to grab her feet, but she spread her wings, pausing in midair and the beast went barreling forward. Pulling Scythe to her sides and skillfully making her body pass through its horns while slicing them off at the same time. Azrael landed on a nearby cliff as the demonic monster growled and screamed as its body collapsed on itself, leaving the horns on the ground.
Azrael wiped the sweat off her brown "finally" as she flew down for the horns.
Nanatasis pushed the doors of hell's throne open where Lilith sat on the throne. Orcs stood on each side of her while demons turned to stare at the possession. Lilith sat straight and silence passed through the throne. The goddess grabbed the scepter and stood while Lucifer breath in the familiarity and Nanala stared at the throne in amazement.
"Who are you to walk into my throne room?" Lilith stood tall with the scepter in her greedy hands.
Nanatasis turned towards the goddess like they didn't realize Lilith stood there. "don't you mean my throne" the goddess shocked. "Hello mother," Lucifer's voice growls through the throne room, rattling the chains of the deemed.
"It can't be'' Lilith couldn't believe her eyes, chills went up her back and Lucifer was enjoying seeing her fear "possession…" a sinister laugh fell from her mouth "you have really sunk low '' she moved down the throne stairs "How desperate must you be to possess a mortal, such a demon move" she fluttered her finger dramatically.
Nanatasis placed their hands on their hips "I could say the same for you, to steal your own son's throne after he flew to Heaven to defend your honor" Lilith just looked down at them "Now that's desperate" Nanatasis took a step forward.
Lilith raised the scepter as the Orcs moved to guard the goddess. "We outnumbered you, darling. Give up" she slammed the scepter down. "Take them out" she shouted her command.
"I won't do that" Nanatasis shook her finger. "To kill a pure soul. Do you want heaven on your ass" they hissed.
Lilith's head fell back, "and possession is a peace corps. Killing a pure soul will get me banishment" she spread her hands "that's my life already but possession will get you kill, Son, and by your precious little Azrael" Nanala eyes flashed with pain while Lucifer tried to shake away the images that surfaced "how is that relationships, by the way" she devious smirk grew on her lips.
"I don't know, you tell me," Lucifer roared through the throne room.
She placed her fingertips together. "Why don't I just give you a visual demonstration or rather a physical one" she signaled for the snipers "take them down" she announced before sitting on her throne.
Nanatasis raised their hands and stepped back, as the thousands of snipers pointed at the possession. A stillness settled on the throne. Every being in the place didn't move, watching this interaction, and the smuggest smile sat on Lillith's face, but it disappeared as the sniper snapped towards her instead.
"Oops," Lucifer smiled at the look of confusion on the goddess' face.
