Hiro entered the Hokage's office as he Saw Tsunade patiently sitting on her chair with a serious expression.
'Why do I get a feeling that this is going to be long...' Hiro thought as he spoke out.
"As per your orders Lady Hokage, I'm here, so what this emergency Ino was talking about"
Tsunade stayed silent for a few moments as she started speaking.
"As you know, with the opening of your factories and other workshops, Konoha's industrial production capabilities had gained a significant boost.
While this benefits konoha extensively, other large manufacturers who still use manual labour to produce their goods have been effectively made obsolete
This happening in any other city in land of fire would have been fine with the Daimyo, but since all your companies are registered and operate within the boundaries of konoha, it not aligned with them." Tsunade said as she moved towards Hiro slowly and then took out a paper from her sleeves.
"I know you may be getting some questions but just continue to listen." Tsunade said handing over the paper to him as she continued.
"The jurisdiction of Konoha lies totally within the hands of Hokage and the Village council, including the tax from all the businesses operating within the village.
But since the scale of your operation is so large, and still all the profit goes to you and konoha, there have been alot of displeasure amongst the higher circle of Daimyo's council.
Since most of them are merchants, traders and businessmen, your work has caused them a significant loss in just the last three weeks of operation of your business."
"Altough it's not official nor is it confirmed, those men have been trying to persuade the Daimyo to take actions against you"
"If you see the document you will understand what I am saying" Tsunade said as Hiro started reading the paper, the more he read, more he frowned and anger crept up his face.
'What the actual fuck....' the advisory council had drafted a plan would effectively cripple his business if it got into action.
They would first try to coerce Konoha into giving the jurisdiction of his companies to the Fire nation.
This was hardest yet the easiest part, Daimyo council already controlled about one third of the Hokage council, they could just bribe their way through the rest and with majority vote in the favor, Konoha would transfer their jurisdiction to Daimyo council.
Then, subjected to the laws of Daimyo and the Fire nation, they would increase taxes, tariffs and 'fees' on his goods, raw material legally or illegally as they held the jurisdiction there.
Making his products roughly as expensive as other similar goods in market, since his main selling point was cheapness and mass quantity with sacrificed quality, people would not use his products anymore as they could get better quality for the same price.
Plus, they would get rid of all the personell working for him using topics of defection, corruption, embezzlement and the classic tax evasion.
This would devastate his business, returning monetary power back into the hands of the old foxes sitting by the Daimyo.
And the worst part was that Hiro could imagine something like this happening, there had been quite a few examples in past where those bastards used their power to devastate growing businesses and nip them in the bud.
But since Daimyo was still sensible and had good ties with Konoha, this could be prevented entirely if Konoha held their stand and did not give him up.
But Hiro could not bring himself to trust the village on this matter, if a village could sacrifice a whole clan including of women, children and old, and the fact being that clan was the villag's founding clan, they could do anything.
Hiro looked at Tsunade as he asked in a somber tone "What stand is the Daimyo taking, and most Importantly, what are you going to do??"
All depended on her answer.
"Daimyo is firm on supporting you through this matter, but that can change quickly with how the matters are going in the capital, as for me, I'm supporting you till the end, I won't give you up to the sharks" Tsunade said, getting rid of Hiro's worries.
He knew Tsunade won't go back on her words, as long as he had her support, he could devise a plan to counteract and come up with measures.
All depended on how long Daimyo could hold.
With the force with which the Daimyo council was pushing the matter, Hiro believed that he only had one to one and a half month to devise a counter.
'Fine, if you want to play the dirty game, let's play it' Hiro thought.
This world may be strong, containing supernatural aspects to it, but fundamentally, humans here and back on earth were same in their nature.
The Politics that happened over on earth was way more intense than these guys could ever imagine.
He would use every trick in the book to turn the tide in his favor.
'Let's see how long it takes for you to break' Hiro thought with an angry yet sadistic smile on his face.
Tsunade, suddenly got chills looking at his expressions, she had only seen such expression few times in life, amd each time, something crazy had happened.
Hiro spoke up "Thank you Lady Hokage, I don't know how to repay you, but since this matter is of urgency, I would like to request a few things from you....."
Hiro spoke up as he elaborated his plan in front of her, the more she listened, more amazed and somewhat scared she became.
His plan was crazy, daring, and had multiple layers of failsafe at every stage.
If successful, it could turn the entire tide in their favor.
Hiro quickly left after explaining his plans and quoting his demands and requests.
But one line he said left a mark on her "There are no problems in life, there are only opportunities to be creative"
