Vista was taken aback by the suggestion that he might not be suited for the dual-sword style.
"How could that be?" he thought to himself. "Ever since I became a pirate, I've been fighting with two sabers in my hands. And even after becoming the captain of the Fifth Division of the Whitebeard Pirates, I've never doubted my ability with these swords." The idea that he might not be suited for the dual-sword style was difficult for Vista to accept.
Vista was infuriated and couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had been practicing the double-sword skill for decades, how could he not be suitable for it? Admitting that he wasn't suitable was not something Vista was willing to do.
"I won't speak for other things, but Brother Vista's dual-sword technique is one of the best in this sea. No one can be sure to beat Vista in a sword fight except for Mihawk." Namur said,
Majima didn't rush to refute after seeing the unwavering confidence of Namur and Vista in their claims.
Majima gazed at Vista and inquired, "What is your objective in practicing the way of the sword?"
When asked about his goal in kendo, Vista's answer was straightforward: "To become the world's No. 1 swordsman!"
This is the ultimate goal of almost all swordsmen on the sea, and Vista is no exception. It is the highest honor they all strive for.
Majima smiled and continued, "Becoming the world's number one swordsman is your goal, but have you considered that sticking to the dual-sword style may be holding you back from achieving that goal? Perhaps there are other sword styles or techniques that can help you surpass that person you've been trying to beat for so many years."
Vista believed that he had both talent and worked hard in his kendo practice. He attributed his success to these two factors and couldn't accept the possibility that he was not as good as another swordsman because of this. However, when confronted with the question of why he couldn't surpass his opponent, he began to doubt his own assumptions and considered if the problem could be with his dual sword technique.
Majima asked Vista, "How many swords does the world's number one swordsman, Mihawk, use?"
Vista replied, "He uses only one sword."
Majima then asked, "And where does Shanks' swordsmanship rank in this sea?"
Vista replied, "At least the top three, or even the second!"
Majima then asked, "And how many swords does Shanks use?"
Vista answered, "Also just one."
Suddenly, Vista realized something and raised his head, widening his eyes.
[Manipulation at it's finest lol]
Majima dealt the final blow with another question: "Centuries ago, Shimotsuki Ryuma, the 'Sword God' was considered the world's most powerful swordsman of his time. How many swords did he use?"
The title of "sword god" is a highly esteemed honor, reserved for those who have reached the pinnacle of kendo, and have served as role models for many great swordsmen throughout history. The legendary Shimotsuki Ryuma, known as the "Sword god", was once considered the greatest swordsman of all time. Vista suddenly realizes this as if he has been awakened from a dream.
After being stunned, Vista turned to Majima and asked, "What are you trying to say, Brother Majima?"
Majima replied, "My words don't matter. What matters is that you already know the answer within yourself."
Majima didn't directly answer, but gestured to the side, implying that Vista should figure it out himself. After some contemplation, He decided to give up his dual-sword style and pursue his original dream of becoming the world's No. 1 swordsman. Despite the difficulty of advancing in the one-sword style kendo, Vista knew that he couldn't give up on his ambition. He also knew that if the one-sword style obtained from the comics proved to be superior to his original double-sword style, he would have a chance to become the world's number one swordsman.
Filled with gratitude, Vista gazed at Majima and expressed, "I sincerely appreciate your guidance, Majima. I will always remember your kindness towards me."
Majima smiled and said, "I accept your gratitude, Vista. But promise me one thing: if you find a swordsmanship that suits you, you must become the strongest in kendo."
Vista bid farewell to Majima and hurried towards majima's house with a deep sense of determination.
Namur clutched "The Biography of Kisame" to his chest and found a quiet spot to begin reading.
Suddenly, Majima heard the system's upgrade notification in his mind.
[Ding! Little Oars Jr. has completed the third layer of the super-multiplying technique, and the Host has obtained the training progress simultaneously.]
[Ding! Host gains 45,000 energy points!]
Majima exclaimed, "Huh? I've reached 1 million energy points, which is enough for diamond draws!"
