As he looked at the "Might Guy 'The Leaf's Noble Green Beast' Biography" in front of him, Marco turned to Jozu and asked, "You learned powerful physical skills from this comic book?"
Despite Joz's efforts to explain, Marco remained unconvinced, and Jozu finally said, "You won't believe it no matter what I say. Just read it for yourself and you'll see."
Instead of saying anything, he decided to take action. Marco believed that actions spoke louder than words. He thought that if he could learn the Eight Inner Gates just like Jozu did, he would believe it.
"I'll be honest with you, Jozu. If it were anyone else, I wouldn't even bother checking it out. But since it's you, and you vouch for it, I'll take a few hours to look into it."
For regular comic fans, reading comics is a form of entertainment, but for a notorious pirate like Marco, it's as tedious as giving homework to an underperforming student.
Typically, if you ask Marco to read a comic or a novel, he'd suggest you examine your brain first. However, in this case, he is willing to endure the boredom and read the "Might Guy 'The Leaf's Noble Green Beast' Biography" out of trust in his brother's words that it can teach physical skills.
As Marco began reading the comic from the beginning, Jozu quickly found the section on Might Guy's practice of the Eight Inner Gates and delved back into the comic world. Suddenly, Marco's Observation Haki couldn't sense Jozu's presence, and he looked around but couldn't find him.
Marco didn't bother to look for Jozu and assumed he had gone to find a place to practice. He went back to reading the comics, where Jozu followed Might Guy and started practicing the SECOND GATE: THE GATE OF HEALING after Jozu entered the comic world.
Opening the Second Gate can remove the limit on physical fatigue, allowing the body to use its energy to recover strength and counter the fatigue caused by using the Gate. To open it, one needs to push the body to the limit.
On the field somewhere in Konoha Village, Jozu is vigorously pursuing the figure in a green jumpsuit, shouting "Breakthrough! Breakthrough! Breakthrough again!!"
Jozu, despite having a stronger physique than Might Guy, realized the importance of willpower and persistence during the intense training.
Might Guy had already broken through his limits eight times, and was now pushing himself for the ninth time, despite his muscles trembling uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, Jozu had only just achieved his second limit breakthrough, and was already feeling exhausted and powerless. He was unable to muster the strength for a third attempt, as his limbs refused to obey him.
The overwhelming feeling of fatigue and the urgent need for rest consumed Jozu's thoughts, prompting him to take a break, even if it was just for a short while.
"Take a break and lie down. It's comfortable on the ground. You've worked hard today, so rest up. Remember, humans aren't machines; you need to rest well in order to develop better." Jozu said to himself
At this moment, Might Guy was still pushing himself to the limit for the ninth consecutive time, while Jozu was finding a comforting excuse to rest and lie down after just experiencing the second break.
Might Guy was on the verge of collapsing after pushing his body to the limit for the ninth time, leaving him severely exhausted and with no energy left.
He looked up at the path ahead of him, where he saw an image of his future self seemingly mocking him. With a sudden burst of conviction, he screamed that he believed in himself and his abilities.
He then stood up and began to take steps forward despite the immense physical and mental pain, which eventually turned into running. Jozu was deeply amazed by what he saw.
"A person who doesn't believe in himself is worthless no matter how hard he works…" Jozu was deeply moved and inspired by Might Guy's words, repeating them to himself as he snapped out of his daze.
Jozu is on the ground, supporting himself with one hand, contemplating his lack of belief in himself. He realizes that his physical overdraft is much less severe than Guy's.
He questions himself, wondering if he can hold on for the third time. He realizes that he lacks trust in himself, and recalls Guy's words that a person who doesn't believe in themselves is worthless, no matter how hard they work.
Jozu let out a fierce scream and pushed himself up from the ground, stopping his body from collapsing downward. He shouted, "For Dad!" as he summoned the determination to continue pushing himself to his physical limits.
He let out a fierce roar and used both arms to stop himself from lying down. He combined his strength and perseverance, and slowly lifted his body up.
Although it was a painful experience, Jozu saw Might Guy's example of perseverance and started to walk forward.
As he continued to break through his physical limits, His heavy footsteps gradually became more relaxed, and he started to trot with a bright smile on his face.
