Chapter 19 - So You Like This Kind of Thing

Clair, who had just gotten into the car, had yet to sit properly when Rui Ya splashed the floor with oil again and dashed out.

"Slow down! Can you slow down!" Clair fastened his seatbelt in a hurry.

"Mr. Clair, let's be friends!" Rui Ya mimicked Bella's words.

"Who was that girl just now?" Rui Ya turned her head and asked with narrowed eyes.

"A college student."

"Alright, I was wondering why you ignored me. So you like this kind of thing. Do you think I'm old? Although I'm a little older, only someone like me can be considered a real woman!" Rui Ya said unwillingly.

"Slow down! I just met her and helped her out," Clair explained.

"I don't believe it! That girl's eyes were red. You must have done something to her!"

"Big Sister, I only left for a short while. What can we do?" Clair was speechless.

"Big Sister? You really despise my age! I'm so angry!" Rui Ya stepped on the accelerator again.

With a roar of the engine, the off-road vehicle sped away. All the cars on the street, big and small, hid on both sides, afraid of being hit.

Ten minutes later, downstairs at the company.

Clair hugged a tree and vomited again.

"If I sit in your car again, I'll go insane. You crazy woman!" Clair cursed as he vomited.

Rui Ya turned a deaf ear and went upstairs by herself.

As soon as Rui Ya arrived at the company, a group of people surrounded her.

"Manager Rui Ya, how is it? Have you negotiated with the client?" a bald man said in a strange tone.

"Does it have anything to do with you?" Rui Ya did not want to talk to the man.

"Of course it is. This is a big business. It's tens of millions. Everyone knows Manager Rui Ya's ability. We've been waiting for you. We want to learn from you and contribute to the company's development," the man mocked.

"Stop being so sarcastic! You men are all acting like women."

Hearing this, everyone standing in front of Rui Ya's face darkened.

The bald man snorted coldly. "Rui Ya, don't be so arrogant. We have discussed this with the CEO. If you can't get this client, we will remove you from your current position."

"Don't worry, unless I want to, you good-for-nothings won't be able to deal with me!" Rui Ya mocked.

"Get out of the way. I need to talk to the CEO." With that, she pushed the people in her way and walked into Amelia's office.

In the office, Amelia was busy with her work. When she saw Rui Ya, she put down her work.

"Rui Ya, how's the client?"

"Something happened." Then, Ria reported the situation to Amelia.

After listening to Rui Ya's story, Amelia also frowned.

"Rui Ya, this client is very important to us, and it's also very important to you. You have to get it. Since she gave you a chance, I hope you can successfully close the deal," said Amelia.

"I know. I'll go do my work first." With that, Rui Ya left the office.

All the department heads and managers were waiting at the door to see Rui Ya make a fool of herself. All of them had looks of anticipation on their faces.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you." Rui Ya did not explain too much and passed by this group of people.

"She wasn't fired? Could it be that she has already settled the client?" someone asked doubtfully.

"How is that possible? With her personality, if she had settled it, she would have been so calm. She would have spread the news a long time ago. Besides, it's not like you don't know how difficult that client is. I don't believe that she would settle it in one go!" the bald man at the beginning said reasonably.

"I think the results will be out in one or two days," the bald man speculated.

On the other side, Rui Ya came out of the office and looked for Clair again.

"Tomorrow, accompany me to meet the client again. This time, we must win!"

"Am I your lackey? I have my own work to deal with!" Anna's plan had been confirmed, so he needed to start designing.

"Just one day! Come with me again." This time, Rui Ya's tone was not as tough as before. Instead, it was a tone of discussion.

Thinking that Rui Ya would be fired if she could not get this client, Clair could not help but nod his head.

"But I'm very curious. Why do you want me to go with you?" Clair was puzzled. It was impossible for Rui Ya to know that he had the ability to read minds and could really help her.

"I don't know, but when you're by my side, I feel at ease. You can think of yourself as a mascot, you can bring me good luck." Rui Ya revealed a bright smile.

Clair was stunned for a moment. He never thought that he had the potential to be a mascot.

The next morning, as soon as Clair arrived at the company, he was pulled by Rui Ya to the restaurant from yesterday.

Perhaps it was because he was used to it, but this time, Clair was okay with Rui Ya's speed. When they arrived at their destination, he did not vomit violently. He was just a little dizzy and could not find his way.

Rui Ya was in front, and Clair followed behind her into the restaurant and into a private room.

There was no one in the private room. It was obvious that the client had not arrived yet.

"Why didn't that client sign with us yesterday?" Clair asked. Since he was here, whether it was for the company or to help Rui Ya, he could use his mind-reading ability to win this client.

Looking at Clair's serious expression, Rui Ya felt a little warm in her heart.

'A man who doesn't mean what he says. On the surface, he doesn't care about me, but in fact, he still cares about me very much! You're worried that I'll be fired!'

Clair felt helpless when he heard what Rui Ya was thinking. He was thinking about whether he should leave before the client arrived. He did not want Rui Ya to have so many fantasies.

However, Rui Ya told Clair about the client's situation.

It turned out that this client had found a company very early on because there were only a few good design companies in Lund City, and Dawn was one of them.

This client was also very generous. She was going to design an art exhibition hall that covered an area of hundreds of acres. The investment for this art exhibition hall alone was more than a billion. If Dawn Company could win this project, the design cost alone would be tens of millions. In addition to the subsequent renovation work, this project could bring Dawn close to hundreds of millions of profits. Therefore, the company attached great importance to this client.

They had submitted no less than ten proposals to her. As the top design company in Lund City, their design standards were impeccable. However, none of the proposals were completely satisfactory to her. Every time, she would say that something was lacking. The previous proposal that Rui Ya had brought was designed by Amelia, but the results were still not satisfactory. This was their last chance. If she was not satisfied, Dawn might miss out on this big client.
