Facing a hollow, Mazuru asked what a hollow is.
Though the question sounded easy, but it was precisely this question that Nelliel didn't know how to answer for a while.
The low-level hollows are just a group of beasts in a state of confusion.
After evolving into Menos Grande, Gillian and Adjuchas are also dominated by the desire to devour most of the time and are in a state of endless hunger. Perhaps only when it becomes a Vasto-Lorde, can it become normal.
But this still doesn't explain what a hollow is.
Starrk and Lilynette also heard Mazuru's question from the side, Lilynette curled her lips, thinking that Mazuru was playing tricks, although she didn't know what Starrk was thinking when he decided to follow a shinigami, but Starrk made a decision, she can only choose to follow Starrk.
On the other hand, Starrk, who seemed to be uninterested on the surface, actually listened quietly.
After all, this shinigami, in his opinion, is too mysterious.
He seems to know many things.
Seeing that Nelliel was in tangle and hadn't responded to his question for a long time, Mazuru gave the answer.
"In the Soul Society, the more popular term defining hollows are 'an evil soul'."
"The souls, because of their attachment to the living world or other hindering factors, cannot ascend and wander in places that they were attached in their lifetime or attracts them. Some of them, either after years of wandering, mourning and torment, or by getting accelerated by external factors, eventually degenerate into hollows."
"Although they are called evil, shinigami will not punish them for the mistakes they committed after they degenerated instead they will give them purification and redemption when facing them."
"Of course, the way of salvation, in your eyes, is to kill the hollows with Zanpakuto."
"But for the shinigami, using Zanpakuto to kill hollow and make the evil souls return to natural cycle as spirit sons is indeed the greatest salvation for beings like hollows."
"This is also the biggest difference between shinigami and quincy. The hollows killed by quincies will disappear completely, even the spirit particles will no longer exist."
While talking, Mazuru got off topic again.
Fortunately, he reflected in time, and after a little mention of quincy, he returned to the topic, "In my opinion, they are just a bunch of poor, obsessed souls."
"Because they have obsessions in their heart, but can't get salvation in time, so they become hollows."
"It's also because they can't get what they want, the obsession in their heart gets stronger and stronger, and finally turned into a hole in their heart."
"Whether it's you, Harribel, or Starrk, it is precisely to fulfill this obsession and fill this vacancy in your hearts that you chose to follow me."
In front of Nelliel and Starrk, Mazuru spoke out.
(T.L Note: Why Lilynette is not mentioned?)
But neither Nelliel nor Starrk were angry because of Mazuru's straightforward words.
Because, this is the truth!
It is precisely because of certain obsessions that they were persuaded by Mazuru. In order to complete the obsession the obsession in their hearts, they chose to follow Mazuru.
Mazuru took Starrk and Lilynette back to the Las Noches.
(T.L Note: I think the author is referring both Lilynette and Starrk when he mentions only Starrk)
Baraggan, was already used to the existence of Mazuru and Nelliel, so he turned a blind eye to it. However, when he saw Starrk, Baraggan was shocked.
"You are…"
It was different from the time when Harribel was recruited back then. That time it was purely that Harribel rejected his recruitment, and it was his subordinates who later made trouble for Harribel. Although he somewhat hated Harribel because of this, on the surface, he never fought Harribel.
But Starrk is different.
Many years ago, he had fought Starrk in order to subdue Starrk. In the end, even with his decaying power, he was severely injured by Starrk's Cero Metralleta before his power even touched Starrk.
That was his worst defeat before meeting Aizen.
As a result, after seeing the Arrancar made by Aizen, he immediately thought of Starrk.
Starrk glanced at Baraggan faintly, and recognized Baraggan, "Ah…So it's you!"
In fact, when he came here, he recognized the place where Mazuru brought them – Las Noches.
He didn't expect that the place that Mazuru, a shinigami, brought him to, is Las Noches, and it seems that the relationship between Mazuru and Baraggan is a bit complicated.
But Starrk's thoughts were limited to this, after all Mazuru was able to defeat him, so it didn't seem strange to be able to defeat Baraggan.
But Baraggan was still shocked and this time by another fact.
During the last trip to the Hueco Mundo, Mazuru brought back two Vasto-Lorde level Menos Grande, Nelliel and Harribel, back to the Las Noches, which was enough to shock him. After all, how arrogant Harribel is, Baraggan clearly knows. So it's hard for him to imagine that Harribel would ever succumb to a shinigami, and now Baraggan's horror is several times stronger than ever.
What is the purpose of Starrk coming here? He, who has such strength, why does he chose to follow Mazuru?
Baraggan wanted to ask Starrk this question, but when the words came to his lips, he finally held back and watched them leave.
After meeting with Baraggan, Mazuru took Starrk to another part of the LasNoches.
Here, Starrk met the Arrancars.
Looking at this group of people who broke their masks just like him, both Starrk and Lilynette couldn't help being stunned.
Once upon a time, Starrk traveled all over Hueco Mundo, but he didn't find a single Arrancar to be his companion. He thought he was the only one, so he experienced extreme loneliness. In order to relieve loneliness, he separated Lilynette from his soul.
Just like Mazuru's earlier words, Lilynette is similar to being Starrk's daughter, but in essence, she is a part of him.
"What a miracle, isn't it."
A gentle male voice sounded beside Starrk, and Starrk responded: "Yes, it's indeed a miracle."
Aizen's figure appeared.
The miracle in his mouth refers to Starrk who broke the mask independently without the help of Hōgyoku.
And the miracle that Starrk said refers to the Arrancar that Aizen made with Hōgyoku.
Seeing these Arrancars, Starrk felt seeing his own kin. Turns out he wasn't the only one.
And the birth of this group of Arrancar makes him no longer alone, isn't it what we call miracle.
