Since we have established that there are Microorganisms, Extremophile ones at that on Earth with the capability to devour Nuclear Waste and convert that into Harmless Elements, one could actually create Spacecraft and Space Colony Radiation Shielding Tech out of Radiation Consuming Microorganisms to minimize harm to Astronauts and Space Dwellers thus nullifying the Harmful Effects of Radiation in Space and extending the length of Space Missions, a Bio-Force Field Of Microorganisms so to speak. (Talk about a Meat Shield). Microorganisms that can also convert this Radiation into Preferable Elements like Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen.
