Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Awakenings Ceremony

Jeremy had always dreamt of attending the prestigious Awakeners Academy, where one could awaken their magical talent and hone their skills. He had always been fascinated by magic, and had hoped to awaken a powerful talent of his own. He had grown up in a small village with his childhood sweetheart, Emily, who shared the same dream.

Finally, the day arrived when they received their invitations to the academy. They were both overjoyed, but also a little nervous. They packed their bags and set off on their journey to the academy, located in the heart of the kingdom of Floria.

Their journey was unlike anything they had ever experienced before. They traveled on a magical flying bird, larger than their own house, that was said to be the fastest way to reach the academy. The bird was pure magic, and it was an experience unlike any other for the two young aspiring students.

As they soared through the sky, Jeremy and Emily marveled at the breathtaking views of the kingdom below. They saw sprawling forests, majestic mountains, and rushing rivers, all of which were dotted with quaint villages and bustling cities. They also encountered strange and wondrous creatures, some of which they had never even heard of before.

The journey was not without its challenges, however. The magical bird was said to be immune to all forms of magic, but that did not stop fierce storms and turbulence from disrupting their journey. Jeremy and Emily held on tight, comforted by the fact that they were in the capable hands of their skilled bird handler.

Despite the challenges, the journey was a magical experience. They bonded over their shared love of magic and their excitement for what was to come at the academy. The journey took 14 long days, but finally, they arrived at the academy, eager to start their new lives as students of magic.

As they settled into their new surroundings, Jeremy and Emily were filled with excitement and nervousness. They both hoped to awaken powerful talents, but they also knew that there was no guarantee. They would have to wait for the awakening ceremony to find out what their fates would hold.

The awakening ceremony was a grand affair, attended by students from all over the kingdom. It was a rite of passage, and a chance for each student to discover their magical talent. Jeremy and Emily were both filled with anticipation as they made their way to the ceremony.

As the ceremony began, one by one, students awakened their talents. Some awakened powerful talents, while others awakened weaker talents. Jeremy was called up next, and he closed his eyes, focusing all of his energy on awakening his talent.

When he opened his eyes, he was filled with disappointment. He had awakened a D tier talent, only above those with E and F tier talents. He felt like a failure, especially when he saw Emily awaken an S tier talent, the highest tier of talent possible. She was quickly surrounded by admirers, including the son of the Duke of Floria, who had also awakened an S tier talent.

Jeremy was filled with sadness as he watched Emily being whisked away by her admirers. He felt like he had failed her, and that his weak talent would never be good enough. He was filled with a sense of hopelessness and depression as he left the ceremony, feeling like he didn't belong at the academy.
