Chereads / My Heart Beats For You, dear / Chapter 4 - Meeting

Chapter 4 - Meeting

Dean took a seat in front of the physician. As he waits for the doctor to review his file and report, his feet tap on the ground.

"Everything appears to be normal." The doctor closed the file and got up from his chair. "Take a deep breath." Dean inhales as the doctor checks his heart rate.

The doctor hands Dean the papers and says, "Continue taking your prescription. We'll meet next month." Dean takes the file and walks out with his palm over his chest, feeling the rhythm.

He calls a taxi because his brother is working hard and he doesn't want to annoy him. His heart quickened the last time he tried to drive, so he is still uneasy about it.

His heart was pounding against his chest and pumping blood more quickly as if it wanted to rip away from Dean. as though it understands Dean is not the true owner. It appears to be irritating to be with Dean. However, the doctor reassured him that he should take it slowly and move slowly.

Dean is attempting to adjust to how delicately his friends, family, and coworkers treat him. He is being treated like a patient who hasn't fully recovered. He doesn't like it. He gets the impression that he is not like other people in that regard.

He has transformed as if fate is currently being rewritten. He is aware that, in being concerned about him, they are not mistaken. He does, however, wish to return to his early self. He was aware that his own heart wanted to stop keeping him alive before he received a heart transplant.

Dean sighed deeply, looking outside as the car continued moving. Just like life, it doesn't stop for anyone or anything. Whatever is gone for good will never return.

"Please stop here." Dean requests as his eyes fall on a café; he wishes to drink something here.

"Thank you," Dean said as he stepped out of the car after paying the driver.

Today is Sunday, so the café looks a bit busy. He walks around to find a seat, and if there's none, taking it away is the last option. He smiled lightly when he spotted an empty seat at the corner.

"Finally," he exhales as he walks faster to take the seat before anyone else.

He comes to a halt when he hears "Teacher Dream!" He recognizes the adorable voice as coming from one of his pupils. As he became anxious to see his student here, he felt his heart begin to beat more quickly. It caught him off guard. He wouldn't have gotten out of the taxi if he had known.

"Teacher dream?" He inhaled as he turned around to see the galaxy-filled eyes that flashed brightly before closing to give a big smile. He felt a tug on his long overcoat.

"I know, Teacher Dream." The boy giggled, swinging Dean's overcoat as he smiled, ducking to the little boy's level, wearing a red shirt tucked in 34-length jeans. He wore Spiderman socks with white shoes.

"You have sharp eyes," Dean replied, caressing the boy's hair. "What are you doing here?" Dean asked, glancing around, hoping to see Ayan's parents.

"Ayan!" Dean heard a voice behind him. The voice was deep and strong. Dean widens his eyes and turns around to see a man walking towards them while holding a tray of ice cream and coffee.

"Cal," Ayan says, waving his hand and showing his teeth.

"Yah! It's Uncle for you." Calder playfully glares at the boy and finally notices the man next to his nephew.

"You?" Calder furrows his eyebrows as Dean smiles, picking up the boy in his arms and standing.

"Myself-"

"Teacher Dream," Ayan said, laughing as he hugged Dean's shoulder. Dean smiled, holding the boy properly in his arms.

"If you're still unclear, my name is Dean Rayden, and I'm a new teacher. About two months ago, I joined." Dean explains while grinning at Cal. Calder indicated his comprehension by nodding.

"Oh, that's why the boy ran away from me," Cal murmured, smiling at Ayan's happiness with someone other than his family.

"Myself, Calder Cooper. Ayan's uncle." Dean smiled and glanced at the melting ice cream. "I think you should find a seat and eat them before they change their forms," Dean said, pointing to the now-empty table.

"Yeah, thanks to this kid." Calder narrowed his eyes at Ayan, showing his tongue. "I'll tell Papa, Calder's sholding me," Ayan said, hiding his face in Dean's neck while giggling.

"It's scolding, Ayan." Dean corrects me with a smile. Calder shook his head and walked towards the table, while Dean followed with Ayan in his arms.

"Papa will scold you, Teacher Dream," Ayan exclaimed, holding his mouth shut because he was not supposed to say this. However, being an angel, he can't hide things.

"Why dear?" Dean asked about placing Ayan on the chair, and the table was reaching to Ayan's chin. He rests his chin on the table's edge, watching Dean and Calder as they stand, curious about their conversation.

"Beluse, Teacher Dream said shame," Beluse said. Calder widens his eyes, looking at Dean.

"Did you call him shame?" Calder asked, feeling anger building in his veins. Nobody calls his cute little nephew a shame.

"I didn't. I will never say that." Dean shook his head.

"Noh, Teacher Dream said nice for my dlowing. Papa said shame."

"Huh?" Calder looks at his nephew in disbelief. Dean first said shame; now his father says shame.

"What are you blabbering about?" Calder snapped, taking the spoon and stabbing the strawberry ice cream.

"Did your papa say nice?" Dean asked, and Ayan nodded his head. Dean sighs with relief. "He meant Same, Calder. Not shame." Dean chuckled, pinching the chubby cheek.

"How did I forget his mispronunciations? I'm sorry, Dean." Calder apologized and smiled sheepishly.

"It's okay," Dean said as he noticed Ayan struggling to sit on the chair while scooping ice cream.

Even before Calder could say anything. Dean sat on the chair and placed Ayan on his lap. "Now, eat properly," Dean said, smiling as Ayan smiled crescently. Dean wiped the melted ice cream from Ayan's chin with a napkin as the boy continued to eat happily.

"Take this coffee, Dean." Calder gave the cold coffee to Dean.

"No, it's alright." Dean shook his head.

"Please, I insist as an apology for judging you without knowing it." Calder pushes the coffee towards Dean, who bows a little, accepting the treat.

Calder observes the bonding between a teacher and a student. It feels so deep as if they were attached from the beginning. It's very rare for Ayan to be relaxed with someone, as he is a shy type. He will hesitate to talk with anyone other than his papa and Calder. However, this boy volunteered to approach Dean and was so happy with him.

This is something new, and Ayan's papa has to know about it. The boy has become so enamored with Teacher Dream that he has forgotten about Calder's existence.

"Teacher Dream," Ayan calls while showing a spoon of melted ice cream. "Eat," Ayan said, showing the spoon.

"Oh, since your cute tummy is full, "Are you feeding me?" Dean tickles the boy. The boy giggles, "Teacher." Ayan pouts, blinking his small eyes, trying to be cute. Dean smiled while drinking the ice cream since it was completely melted now.

Calder's jaw was on the floor now. This totally caught him off guard. As far as he knows, Ayan doesn't share anything with anyone except his papa. Altogether, this is big news, and he can't take it lightly.

Although his eyes fell on the black file resting on the table on the right side of Dean, he couldn't read anything because the file was flipped. However, he got curious about it.

"What's this file?" Calder points at the file.

"Oh, that's for a checkup, as I was not feeling well," Dean explains with a half-hearted smile.

"How are you now?" Calder asked, worried about Dean's health.

"I'm fine and much better thanks to Ayan." Dean embraces the boy tightly and unconsciously kisses his crown. The boy giggles, holding Dean's arms and smiles brightly.

"Are you understanding?" Calder is trying to explain everything to Romano while cooking dinner for the two.

"Hmm," Romano hums, stirring the sauce and glass noodles together.

"You are not understanding here." Calder snaps, as this is not the expected reaction.

Calder looks at Ayan playing RC, and the car is going at full speed and hitting the wall. The boy giggled as he ran to stand in front of the car and walk next to it as he tried controlling it again. The joy of following the car and his happy sounds filling the house made his papa smile too.

"Cal, the said person is Ayan's teacher. He spends most of his daytime with his teacher. Obviously, he will get attached. It's normal." Romano explained and placed the noodles and side dishes on the dining table.

"Ayan, dinner is ready," Romano said, washing his hands. "Keep the toy in your room and wash your hands," Romano instructs, as the boy always listens to his dad.

"Ok, Papa." Ayan smiled carefully, taking the car and running to his room.

"Am I overreacting?" Calder mumbles, biting his nails.

"Calder, relax. It's a good thing that Ayan is comfortable with his teacher. "He will concentrate on his studies." Romano pats his shoulder with a nod. Calder nodded back and heaved a deep sigh.

"I'm so hungry," Calder grumbles as he sits on the chair, rubbing his tummy and opening all the lids of containers, his mouth watering at the sight of food.

"You are not welcome," Romano said, closing the lid. Calder sniffs, looking at Romano, who is making the face of a kicked-out puppy.

"You! You are influencing my son." Romano keeps his right hand on his waist, tilting his head to the side. "He's even started making puppy faces now."

"Relax, Rom. Let the child live." Calder fans his hand in the air.

"Get out." Romano just spoke two words.

"Of course, Ayan should be like you. All strict, Glare at everyone. Barely smile to others." Calder quickly changed his words while glancing at the food. Romano glares at Calder.

"I mean, he's your carbon copy anyway. I mean, anyone could claim he's your copy-paste. Same eyes, nose, smile, and walk like a miniature Romano." Calder chuckled nervously.

"Papa!" Ayan smiled, waddling towards his papa and hugging his leg. Romano smiled softly and kneeled in front of Ayan.

"Look, the little prince is here," Calder said, smiling at the duo.

>>It's no surprise Romano never agreed to marry again. They are happy in their small bubble and don't need anyone.

"You told everything to your teacher?" Romano asked while picking up the boy and placing him on his chair. He tried to act as if he was upset and angry at Ayan.

"What have I taught you?" Romano asked as Ayan looked down, thinking his papa was upset because of him.

"Don't tell stran-jer anything," Ayan said quietly, fiddling with his fingers.

"What did you do?" Romano asked again and raised his hand before Calder tried to defend the child. He paused, biting his lips, and Romano crossed his arms.

Calder just wanted to inform everyone of this new information and didn't think much about it. He didn't expect Romano to be strict with the boy in this case. He is kind of feeling guilty for explaining everything that happened in the café.

"I'm sorry," Ayan whispered as his shoulders slumped. He didn't dare to look at his father. He realizes he made a mistake. But he couldn't control his tongue before speaking.

Romano sighed, noticing his happy son looking dejected. "Baby, just don't repeat it," Romano whispered, caressing the silky brown hairs of his son.

"Ayan will not repeat. Ayan is sorry." Ayan turns to look at his papa with tears brimming in his soft eyes.

"Hush, baby." Romano takes the boy in his arms, and Ayan immediately hugs his father's shoulder while bursting with tears.

"See, what you did," Calder said, kicking Romano's leg as he was standing next to him. Romano glares at Calder, who is eating noodles.

"Papa was just reminding you, dear." Romano pats his back as he walks towards the window. Ayan sniffs while hiccupping while fisting Romano's collars.

"I have no one except you, dear. I don't want anyone to say anything bad about you. I know my little angel is so pure that you can't hide anything." Romano explained with a soft smile, caressing the boy's back, trying to calm him.

"Papa is also sorry." Romano kissed Ayan's forehead as the boy sniffed, looking at his papa with teary eyes.

"Papa, don't say sorry." Ayan held Romano's face and shook his head. Romano smiled while hugging the boy.

"I love you, dear."

"I love you, Papa."

They smiled and heard a sniffing sound. They looked at the source as Romano rolled his eyes and Ayan giggled.

Calder was standing while faking his cry and slurping noodles. "So, so beautiful," Calder spoke, wiping away his fake tears.

"Idiot," "Cal,"

The duo spoke together as they made a sentence.

"Yah! That's your uncle for you. How many times should I tell you?" Calder spoke, keeping the bowl down and wiping his lips.

Romano and Ayan shrugged their shoulders in sync.
