Chapter 2 - A new hope

"I-it can't be, Are you sure sabrina?" The Warchief stuttered a few words with disbelief.

"Yes sir, I am 100% sure about this." Sabrina answered with the astonished expression still plastered on her face.

"If it's true, we have to get him on our side before Hel finds about him." The leader said with an urgent expression.

"Let's head towards the research facility right now." The Village chief said to everyone.

"Yes, we should head towards the facility right now." The Warchief and the leader nodded hurriedly.

...

After arriving at the research facility, they headed towards where Nevo was prisoned.

Meanwhile, a young man was very sad, he was about to shed tears but he couldn't.

"If only... if only I was strong enough, I could have saved my loved ones, my clan." Nevo was feeling very guilty that he wasn't able to even save his own clan from the monster outbreak.

After a while, a sound of footsteps could be heard in the prison cell.

"Who is there?" Nevo said in a low voice but it was enough for the Village chief and the other Elders to hear him.

"It's the Elders, Nevo." The Warchief answered him.

"Will you set me free now?" Nevo asked in a excited and expectant tone.

"Yes, but we will have a little chat first." Said the Warchief.

"Okay, agreed." Nevo answered quickly.

...

After a while, He was again sitting on a wooden chair while the Elders were sitting on luxury chairs.

"Okay, so let's start with a simple question." The Warchief said.

"..." Nevo didn't say anything and just nodded.

"Are you willing to serve us, Our vikings land and our people, to set out land free from the curse of death that the supreme goddess of death Hel, cursed our lands with?" The Warchief started with the first question.

"... I don't understand what you're saying and how am I, who couldnt even save his own clan able to help you?" Nevo was very confused by the question that the Warchief asked him.

"I will explain everything to you, now listen..." The Warchief then started to tell him about how they found out that he was an Immortal, and about the curse left by Hel, the goddess of death.

They were very desperate for his help and he could feel the tension they had when they talked about Hel, the goddess of darkness and the curse left by her.

He didn't have to think for long as he decided to go on their side.

He didn't have any purpose left in his life now, he only wanted to kill his clan's murderer, and he knew that Hel was behind all of this, so what reason did he have to reject now?.

"I agree." As if they were waiting for these exact words from his mouth, they rejoiced happily that then had finally got an Immortal, a God's incarnate as a subbordinate.

"This is going to be the best descision of your life, believe me or not." The Village chief said to Nevo.

"You will now forge the path that awaits ahead of our viking lands, everything is in your hand now, young man." The Warchief said in a serious voice.

The leader only nodded at him, but the smile could be clearly seen on his face.

"Yes Elders, I won't disappoint." Nevo now adressed them as Elders.

"Now that you are our strongest fighter against Hel, it's time for us to help you with some essential needs." Sabrina, the Witch doctor said to him.

The Elders also nodded at her descision as it was really important.

"What kind of needs exactly?" He was curious to know what they were talking about so he quickly questions them.

"You will know after some time." Sabrina said while smiling brightly.

...

After a few hours...

"Woah... it's amazing, how is this even possible?" Nevo was very shocked by the amazing thing he was seeing right now.

"As we have said, it's a really really essential thing for you." Sabrina said to him.

"This inventory is a special function that is only made possible by the hardwork of 12 Master-rune and array makers." The Village chief boasted a little in front of him.

"This inventory function will let you store atleast 15 items at once, any food items or other healing items will not rot or stink in any way.

The Village chief continued to shock him more and more.

"It's such an amazing thing, I don't think I deserve it sir, I am no one but a mere commoner." Nevo said while bending his neck towards the ground.

"Young man, you will know your real value when the time comes, for now, take it and don't question." The Warchief replied with a look of confidence on his face.

"Thank you sir, I won't forget to repay you 10 fold of treasures in the future." Nevo bowed while bending at 90 degree.

"I bet you will, boy." The Warchief nodded at him and answered.

"Ahem..." Sabrina interrupted their chit-chat and explained Nevo to how to use the inventory.

After the inventory function work was done, she showed him his own personal land where he could build anything like house, machines, chests and all the necessary things.

Nevo was in a daze that they were even giving him a large personal land.

"And the last is..." Sabrina said excitedly.

"A class change certificate." Sabrina said to him.

Nevo was a little confused as to what a class change certificate was?

Sabrina could see the large question mark on his face so she directly answered him.

"It's simple, a class change certificate can be used to unlock new classes by completing missions, and change between the unlocked classes at anytime." As sabrina answered him, he jumped in joy for once because of this rare material that he could now obtain.

"This..." Nevo couldn't even say scything now.

"Don't worry Nevo, It may be rare but without a user, it's just an old piece of scrap, so don't hesitate and take it." Sabrina said to him politely.

"Now... choose one of these uncommon rank weapons for now." Sabrina said to him while looking towards the weapons hanging on the wall.

"..." Nevo just nodded at her and headed towards the wall where the weapons were hanged.
