The pack cheers and applauds. Uncle Conner steps up and hugs me and so does his mate, Aunt Lisa. I step up to the mic having thought long and hard about this next move.
"I would be honored to fill my father's shoes as the next beta of Creekwood's pack." "If my dad were here he would've wanted me to take his place, he would've been proud". I pause as the pack cheers again but I paid keen attention to those that didn't. "I'm looking forward to being a part of pack life again." Stepping back, I fell in line with all the other newly promoted ranking members. The alpha title will now be passed to Jason and then I can take it from him.
"I now present to you your new alpha and Luna." Alpha Conner says taking the mic again, the cheers continue through Jason's acceptance speech. I, on the other hand, was paying attention to the fact that Luna Lisa did not pass on her title.
Louder than necessary and so I would be heard over the cheering pack I shouted at.
