Chapter 3 - Poseidon

Once Leo and Athena separated after leaving the temple, Leo headed toward the bottom of Mount Olympus.

He eventually noticed he reached the utmost bottom of Mount Olympus, there were no structures, only a narrow stone pathway on the side surrounding Mount Olympus with the bare sky on the left.

There was a small platform which was at the bottom of the narrow pathway.

"That's quite far down." Leo muttered while peeking over to his left which was over the small platform that had no fence.

'How far can I see?' He inwardly thought before he narrowed his golden eyes downwards which gleamed even brighter than usual.

His eyes went through the clouds, and he could see a large civilization with tiny orange dots spread throughout it, he tried to see even more but he couldn't see any further.

"About 30,000 feet, give or take. Is that impressive?" Leo questioned since he wasn't sure what to compare his powers to.

Leo simply shrugged and told himself he would brush up in the library about power levels and all the important stuff.

'I should test some of my powers out.'

Leo brought his right hand out, and pointed his palm up, a sphere of spinning water appeared.

'It seems all the skills we get are also simply imprinted in our brain, this one should be called [Hydrokinesis], the ability to create/manipulate water with magic or I suppose they're called Magicules which are basically the particles of magic.'

Leo's sphere of spinning water slowly turned into frozen ice.

'[Cryokinesis], the ability to create/manipulate ice with Magicules.'

He made his ice sphere turn into water and let it splash onto the ground.

'Why don't I try some more serious skills?' Leo suddenly smirked.

He put his hands into his pockets, closing his eyes, he focused, his brows furrowed as small snow particles started to increase in numbers around him.

Slowly from, 1 to 10, to 100, to 1000, to 10,000, to 100,000 particles of snow started to form hundreds to thousands of meters around him.

They started to violently blow as the air around him turned white, or rather, so much snow was being blown around it seemed white.

Leo could feel the savage winds carrying pieces of snow/hail sweeping past him, but nothing came in contact with him.

Slowly opening his eyes, he smiled.

'[Winter Magic], this is one of its sub-skills, [Blizzard Magic].'

"This feels nice." He looked around and noticed the blizzard didn't reach the top of Olympus, it seemed to have an area of effect of over 20,000 feet in terms of width, he didn't expand the height on purpose because he didn't want to affect upper Mount Olympus.

He watched as the blizzard spread across the clouds in the bare sky.

'This is not even the full power of it.' Leo thought while his sky-blue hair was violently swaying back.

He also noticed that if he didn't try to enhance his vision, he could see nothing 1 foot ahead of him.

Until Leo suddenly frowned, he slowly looked behind him which was the pathway back up to upper Olympus.

Narrowing his eyes, he immediately dispelled his blizzard.

Slowly the winds started to die down and the moonlight shined down upon Leo, as he continued to stare at the pathway where he came from.

"Are you just going to stare at me? Or are you gonna show yourself?" Leo spoke casually as he still had his hands in his pockets but they were ready for action.

Slowly a clump of water started to form a few feet away from Leo, it slowly took the form of a human.

"When did you sense me?" Poseidon spoke with a frown and furrowed brows.

"As soon as you stepped into my blizzard." Leo replied as if it was obvious.

"I suppose you know of me?" Poseidon questioned, he recognized this boy was one of the twins that were born earlier today.

"Yeah, Athena wanted to make sure I know all the Olympian Gods-" Leo shrugged before he was cut off.

"That power. What is it?" Poseidon suddenly stepped forward with narrowed eyes.

"What power?" Leo raised his brow, he just used multiple.

"Why can't I control your power? Why!?" Poseidon suddenly started to get agitated.

'Hmm, Athena told me he was the God of the Sea, so basically God of Water. Is he saying he can't control my ice?' Leo thought calmly, not minding Poseidon's attitude.

"I should have control over every damn water! Your ice is just frozen water yet I cannot control even a drip of it!" Poseidon inched forward as he glared at Leo.

"Hoho, you mean this?" Leo brought his palm out and created a ring of water as it spun above his hand.

Poseidon's eye's widened, he only saw the ice, he never knew the young boy would have the same power as him.

Poseidon concentrated on the ring of water with furrowed brows but nothing happened.

"Impossible! You! My brother was right, you're dangerous! You must not be allowed to live!" Poseidon instantly created a spear of water and launched it at Leo.

Leo instantly reacted and watched the spear of water approach him in slow-mo, once it was close enough, he lightly tapped it, turning it into ice, he grabs it and does a 360 spin, launching it directly back.

Poseidon simply raised his hand and created a wall of water, efficiently blocking the ice spear, but he noticed something was wrong.

The wall of water he built was suddenly frozen and it started to transform into a human.

Leo appeared with an ice katana coming down onto Poseidon, who was baffled but immediately reacted.

He reached his hand out and grabbed the katana barehanded.

"You think this is enough to beat me?" Poseidon crushed the ice katana between his hands until he suddenly frowned.

The Leo in front of him suddenly turned into ice and broke into pieces.

Poseidon slowly turned around and noticed a smirking Leo with a cold gleam in his eyes behind him.

Leo had his right hand pointing at Poseidon as if he had a gun.

Poseidon immediately raised both his hands up in an x motion.

'Emission.' Leo inwardly commanded before a blue light shot out from the tip of his finger.

Poseidon's eyes widened as the blue light clashed against his arms.

'It's freezing my body!'

Boom!

Suddenly an explosion went off in Poseidon's position as Leo stopped shooting.

"From what I've judged you are clearly stronger than me, well I was just born, it's to be expected." Leo spoke as he stared at a silhouette from the smoke of the explosion.

Once the smoke disappeared, Poseidon could be seen without a scratch on his body.

"It seems I've underestimated you, as expected of the prophecy child who is destined to overthrow Olympus." Poseidon seemed to have calmed down and looked at the boy with a frown.

"Is that why you came to look for me?" Leo questioned.

"No, I just sensed some foreign water in Olympus and came to check it out." Poseidon replied.

"I see." Leo simply nodded.

"It seems since you are a bit stronger than I expected, I'll have to crush you with full power!" A trident made out of water suddenly appeared in Poseidon's hand, and the clouds above them started to cloud up again.

Winds started to blow roughly.

'He seems to be at least 2 times stronger than me. Does that mean that all of us gods are born with our full potential or can we grow even stronger?' Leo questioned inwardly as he watched Poseidon's green aura rise exponentially, matching even Zeus's aura.

'We were holding back most of our power because we didn't wanna damage Olympus but this guy seems to be more hell-bent on killing me.' Leo chuckled inwardly, helplessly shaking his head.

"Behold, this is the power of Poseidon the God of the Sea!" Poseidon exclaimed before raising up one of his hands and suddenly water particles started to form above them.

They started to interconnect until becoming a huge body of water, thousands to thousands of meters wide and tall.

Leo just crossed his arms and didn't move, staring behind Poseidon with a smirk.

"What are you so smug abou!?-" Poseidon cut himself off and noticed a familiar presence behind him.

Slowly turning around, he noticed it was Zeus who was watching this fight with furrowed brows.

"Zeus! Don't worry I will deal with this child for us!" Poseidon declared with a smile.

Zeus stayed silent and stared at Leo as if he were deciding something.

"Zeus?" Poseidon questioned confusedly, his smile slowly fading.

"*Sigh* Just leave him alone, we shall not harm the boy." Zeus sighed with a bit of resignation.

"Zeus what are you talking about!?" Poseidon angrily exclaimed.

"I will tell you later, now dissipate your magic and leave the boy alone." Zeus ordered.

"Don't tell me you're scared of a newborn!?" Poseidon yelled while pointing at Leo.

"As I said I will tell you later, just leave the boy alone." Zeus responded with an annoyed tone.

"I can't control his water/ice powers, he is a danger to us all! Don't tell me you've become a coward!" Poseidon exclaimed.

Zeus was a bit surprised by the first piece of information but at Poseidon's last words, he started to lightly emit blue lighting.

"Did you not hear what I said!? I am getting tired of being questioned! I am the damn King of Gods!" Zeus suddenly exclaimed as his eyes glowed blue.

"You will follow this order or you shall feel my wrath!" Large crackles of blue lightning started to discharge from Zeus erratically as he menacingly stared at Poseidon.

Leo was watching this altercation with a curious expression, he had an ice bowl filled with ice in his hands, as he watched them.

'They seem to roughly be of equal strength.' Leo inwardly thought as he munched on ice.

Poseidon looked at Zeus with a surprised expression, he couldn't believe his brother would fight him over a newborn god.

'He must have his reasons.' Poseidon thought before his large body of water started to dissipate and the clouds went back to normal.

The water trident in his hands also disappeared.

"Hmph! I will hear what you have to say later." Poseidon body slowly started to turn into water.

"Your safe for now, boy." Poseidon muttered before disappearing.

Zeus simply stared at Leo before also disappearing into a streak of lightning.

"As expected, it seems Hades as the oldest sibling has some influence over Zeus." Leo smiled as he wasn't surprised by the interference.

Leo then started to walk up the stone pathway back up to Olympus rather then teleport.

'It seems I've already made two powerful enemies. Judging from what Athena told me about the other siblings of Zeus, I'll probably make much more. Hmm, should I kill Athena?' Leo's eyes suddenly turned cold.

'Currently, I'm stronger than her, even though we held back the majority of our power in order to not destroy the temple, I could tell she was weaker and so could she. She could very well become my enemy just as much as she can become my ally. Her potential is immense, she will become quite the opponent once she learns more.' Leo made his bowl of ice dissipate as he continued to ponder.

Eventually, he reached back up all the way to the Temple, where he and Athena would stay.

'Meh. I'll think about it in the future. Tomorrow, I have a big surprise for my so-called family.' Leo shrugged with a smile before heading to his room, to try out sleeping.
