“You’re back early.”
“You were in on this, weren’t you? You helped Tyson get me and Jack alone.”
“Tyson found out through Beth that I like guys and he explained everything to me and by the way, it sounds like Jack may deserve a second chance.”
“He doesn’t. He has done nothing but hurt me.”
“Em, I’ve always been honest with you, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Then listen to me. He may have gone about it the wrong way, but he did what he thought was right. He was trying to protect his daughter.
“How can I trust him?”
“Get to know him again. He’s probably changed in the two years you’ve been gone. I know you’ve changed. You’re not shy or timid anymore. You’ve grown a lot over the past two years.”
“Why is everyone on his side?”
“From what I hear he’s been madly in love with you since you were in elementary school, but you should also be cautious. While I think you should give him a chance, you also need to take care of yourself.”
