POLLY'S SACRIFICES AND PAIN
But sleep made a joke out of him because the pain was now eating what he thought wasn't going to hurt.
He turned sideways and touched the pillow, the very same pillow after all, he felt the warmth of his bed, it definitely makes him calm, slowly taking the unpleasant sensation from his aching foot.
When he felt like, he was ready to sleep, the knock on the door take his drifting consciousness back, next thing happened was the old lady coming in without even asking for his permission, but what can he do? It's no longer the house he used to live, he was a lodger in her mercy.
“Young lad, let me see your ankle again, it swelled so bad.” Aru lift his foot out of the blanket, for the old lady to see.
“Oh poor boy.” She touched softly the swelling area, and lift it to her leg as she sat beside him.
She noticed how Aru was staring at her, she smiled and do what she thinks the best.
“Can you please check if there's an ointment in that drawer beside you?”
He didn't know there's something behind the words of the old lady and just follow innocently, he darted his eyes away from his swollen feet.
Aru who was oblivious reaching the drawer and about to open it, next thing that happen was the scream that almost tear the house apart, breaking the silence of the night, his body thud, slumping flat to the bed, passing out.
The old lady just laughed at him, then place his foot underneath the blanket, holding her laughter while going out of the room.
Again, she glanced at the pinhole camera above the ceiling, then turned off the lights, leaving him sound asleep.
The next day, the old lady was taken aback by a warm hug behind her, without looking back she knew who it was, her granddaughter.
“You're too early, you said you'll be coming by noon? Just because you saw his face on the CCTV you put to, watch over me?”
She stopped, from trimming the rose bud and lead her inside, preparing the tea that's been already set, pouring her a cup, it's her newly dried rose petal tea, which she's proud of, and the liking of her granddaughter too.
“Where is he? Where's Aru.”
She asked, looking around to see no shadow of Aru.
“His sleeping good, I burnt him a sleeping incense last night, I saw how bad his reflection is, and I already set back his ankle, I wonder how hard he had been through.” making the both of them sad.
“Granny?” she holds her hands, and warmly kissed it, she felt bad, at the worst of what Aru have been through, but her granny was too hard-headed, that she needs to nag again.
“Thank you, even though I nag you a thousand times not to let any stranger inside the house, you still do, but this time, I will let this pass, since I've been looking for him, for a very long time, but granny this will be the last?”
She nagged again, and slowly leave her hand on the table and have a sip of tea.
“Whatever, you said, you're going to cook food for him right?, the kitchen's ready” she looked at her little girl enjoying the tea.
“ I'll just finish my rose tea and wake him after I'm done, I want to surprise him.”
“Just don't overdo it” she said and smell her tea.
“Sure, granny, oh the tea is great, give me some to bring home.”

He was not looking anywhere and made his way out, to breathe some air, when he hears that annoying voice, screaming after him.
“Polly, where do you think you're going?” he didn't bring anything with him, so how did she know he was going out?
Without care, he faced her and said the truth, if he won't say it, he will be dragged by them, his long tired of their bantering, every time he needs to breathe.
“Club, be back before that old geezer comes, bye.”
He left without looking back, even if she screams at the top of her lungs, and asked the guards to take him back, but nobody stopped him because they already heard where he's going, and he had paid for this slight freedom last night.
He was married to an old politician with her moms consent, he was the key for them to survive, after his brother was taken away his father was also found dead, since then, he was left alone, scared and hungry.
It was not really forced, it's just that his mom, agreed without thinking, and he was so young to understand such thing.
Back then he became a loner, he no longer have a shoulder to lean on, without his big brother who's always there to protect him, he became a bird with a broken wing.
Scared, since the day his brother's gone, different man comes and go, to their house, looking for his father, breaking and taking everything, leaving the house with a large space.

Every day, he was hungry, his mom only knows how to get drunk after the death of his father, the money she used to save were all spent to alcohol, not a penny for his meal, not even a single bread.
Polly at the age one hundred nine, who still needed to be taken care of, was not given any attention, he's afraid to touch the money of her mother, he did it once, but he was beaten black and blue.
Then he will go out on the street, seeking food in every garbage can or bag that's within the vicinity, and that's when he was found by that politician

Polly's so naive to understand things like *muse and missing piece before, until he was brought back to their house, where his mom, unsober from drinking all day.
Then things happen so fast, that the last thing he remembered was the shown kindness turned into a wild beast.
The politician stripped naked in front of him, and he was tied on a wide bed, both hands on his head, his legs were spread apart.
And the cries he did that night were heard unto nothingness, the pleadings of his tired lung's, his tired body that was always beaten by his mom when drunk, and his innocence was taken advantage, until he passed out, and now six years had passed his already one hundred fifteen.
And the nasty things, that the politician can do to him, were unimaginable, he even lost appetite at the sight of every mouth-watering food place before him.
If not for the force supplement that's been injected to him, he might be a living dead now, in the end he quit the fight and do what he was good at, using his body, to get what he wants.
What he wants was just a glimpse of freedom, and in exchange those bodyguards drill him every night.
Lucky for him, his no Omega nor Alpha, just a Beta, unlike his brother who's a Dominant Omega, who will someday have its mate if he ever had a destined one.
He never stopped searching and waiting for him because after Aru was taken that day, his mother said something and been imprinted in his mind up to now.
“Don't worry much about Aru, he will come back to us, with lots of money, and he will be with you again, never leaving your side.”
And if his brother comes back, he will not think twice to go with him, now that he realized he had a small feeling for him.
