Chapter 29 - Naked stranger

Author's pov

The look on the demon's face was even more scarier than the fact that there was a naked stranger in her room. The look on the demon's face terrified her greatly. He looked at her with so much hatred that had her wondering what she did wrong. She had her back on the door placing her hands on her chest taking deep breaths. What is he even doing on this floor? Aurora wondered to herself, this is the girls floor.

"You came back earlier than expected". The amber eyed stranger said. Aurora's eyes widened instantly, she totally forgot about the naked person in her room, her heart started pounding furiously, she could hear the sound of her heartbeat from her ears, that's how loud it was, taking deep breaths she tried to calm her heart, at this rate she was going to have a panic attack and possibly lose consciousness.

"Ahhhh!!" She screamed loudly for the second time today. "This is not real, it's all in your imagination, it's not real" she closed her eyes chanting the same words to herself repeatedly.

"Damn, you're loud, are you planning on destroying my ear drums" she heard the voice again. She considered running outside again and calling for help, but the look the demon had given to her, had her frozen in her spot. She begged and willed her powers to work at this moment but nothing happened. She wanted nothing more than to be teleported out of this nightmare. Closing her eyes she concluded that this was her mind playing tricks on her since she has been stressed out and so she decided to go with it.

"Who are you?" She asked the stranger, her eyes still sealed shut.

"I'm shocked Aurora, and of course hurt. How could you not recognize me" the stranger said in a teasing tone staring at her with eyes full of amusement confusing Aurora. She could swear she has never seen him before in her life, but he was speaking like she knew him. Opening her eyes slowly, she took in his appearance. Bright Amber eyes, messy hair that was very dark and silky, it was as black as onyx. "ONYX" the thought clicked in her mind a look of recognition crossing her features.

"Took you long enough" the amber eyed stranger said smugly.

"You're onyx?" She asked wanting to be sure.

"I'm hurt Aurora, you named me, catered for me, dress my wounds and other things. You've been taking care of me for the past weeks and have literally became my master and when I decided to show you my true form, you couldn't recognize me what an awful master you are". He said playfully with a mischievous glint in his eyes but made Aurora feel guilty nonetheless.

"I.. I d..idn't know, I'm..i.m sorry onyx" Aurora said feeling awful. "Why are you naked though," she asked.

"Well I have been in my animal form since I escaped that hell" onyx gritted out his eyes flashed dangerously for a brief moment before turning back to his normal playful look. "So of course I'm bound to be naked" he finished.

"What are you exactly? A shifter?" Aurora questioned.

Looking at her incredulously he started "I'm insulted, you just called me a shifter, mind you I am the first of my kind ever created, the first of my kind to walk this...."

"Wait". Aurora said cutting him off. "I have I lot of questions but I'll prefer to ask them when you're fully clothed and not naked, it's making me..erm.. um.. comfortable. So how about you sit here while I go look for clothes for you". Aurora finished staring at him then walking out of the room after seeing him nodding his head in agreement. After all he had a lot of things to tell her.

Stepping out of her room Aurora went down straight to the second floor which is the boys dorm in search of blake and Jake. They were the only ones she could think of at the moment, after all they did know about onyx and so she wouldn't have much explaining to do. After walking around the quiet hallway of the boys dorm for some time, she suddenly came to a halt remembering they were all at school. Face palming herself she groaned loudly.

"So much for thinking I'm going to skip classes today". She said to herself walking back upstairs to inform onyx of the new development. Opening the door of her room she closed her eyes stepping inside.

"ERM... Um.. onyx?" She stuttered. "There seem to be a little problem getting clothes for you, so um... I have to go back to class, I'll be back later in the day with clothes though, so.... You'll have to wait" she completed.

"Sure" he said the mischievous glint still swirling in his Amber eyes.

"Ok" Aurora said rushing out of the room, still with her eyes closed. Finally out of her room she opened her eyes sighing. She so much hated the idea of going back to that stupid school, facing everyone after looking and sounding pathetic and almost breaking down in front of them, she felt so embarrassed and wanted nothing more than to stay locked behind the doors of her room and never come out, but knew she had to go, she couldn't hide forever, though she wish she could. Sighing again, she started climbing down the long stairs which seem never ending. Fuck, she hated everything about this damn school. After what seemed like forever, she finally arrived at the ground floor. Walking towards the entrance she opened the door stepping outside, she was welcomed by the cool breeze hitting her face, making her hair fly around her face. She breathed the cool air, she loved nature. Marching towards the building where her first class was held she groaned thinking about how late she is, and how all attention would be on her. "Great" she muttered displeased.

Stepping into the school building, she walked down the hallway that led to her first class. Arriving at the door, she stood there contemplating whether to just go back to the dormitory or step into the class. Mumbling incoherently under her breath, she opened the door and stepped inside , her head bowed walking toward the empty seat she saw at the back of the class close to the window. The perfect seat, she thought. Walking towards the seat she sat down slightly raising her head, the teacher went back to teaching after sparing her a glance, taking no heed to her, Aurora couldn't be more glad, that went better than she expected. Sighing softly she stared outside the window deep in thought, though she never admitted it, she did missed her mother, her real mother. It wasn't like she wasn't loved enough, she was, but still, she wants to experience her own mother's love. She'll never say it but the fact that her mother abandoned her and never came to check on her always bothered her. Yes she knew her mother didn't really abandon her, she knew she was taken from her mother, but she still felt her mother should have fought for her, or at least visited her. They took her away from her mother when she was just few weeks old but her mother didn't care, she couldn't even check up on her, her rational side told her that was impossible, how would a being enter into a dragon kingdom unnoticed and even enter into the castle still unnoticed, but her emotional side refused to listen, she still believed her mother should have tried and find a way out after all she's a witch. She believed, if her mother had been determined, she wouldn't have let her father take her away so easily or at least she should have been able to come meet her daughter. She believed her mother should have fight for her custody. She didn't understand why her dad even took her from her mother, after all he already had three other children, the hatred for her father grew deeper.

The man sure loved to ruin her life, she thought sadly to herself. Still deep in thought Aurora wasn't aware of the time or how many hours that had passed, she didn't even hear when the bell rang signalling the end of the class. Her dragon history teacher knew she wasn't taking note nor paying attention but chose to let her be, she knew Aurora isn't normally like this and just assumed she had a lot on her mind, to her Aurora was one of the best students in her class, so she decided to let it slide and not bother her, even her face, showed she was going through a lot. Immediately the bell rang, the teacher rounded up what she was teaching and walked out of the class. Students stood up and started walking out of the class to their next class. Hydra sat back staring at Aurora, she was worried about her mental health, she knew coming to this academy was changing her and it wasn't a good change, last night was a living proof, the teachers unfair treatment towards her was also affecting her and her pleading to be expelled earlier hurt hydra greatly, she was worried for her friend, she hated even they treat her unfairly. The spark that was always seen in Aurora's eyes back home with her family and friends had dimmed greatly, she isn't even as bubbly as she was before, neither does she smile like she did before anymore. Aurora was her really close friend even before they came to the academy and she wasn't going let what happened last night come in between their friendship, though she was angry at what Aurora did but then she calmed down after thinking about it and realized that Aurora was only defending Lilith and knew that if she was the one in Lilith's position last night, Aurora would have definitely done the same. Walking close to Aurora, she took the seat closest to her.

"Hi doll" she called smiling staring at Aurora lovingly calling her the name she and another of their dragon shifter friend always called her when they were little.

Blizzard, the name rang non stop at the back of aurora's head. Smiling softly with tears in her eyes at the name Hydra called her. She was taken back to when she was little. She faintly recalled running around Hydra's home on Hydra's twelve years birthday with Hydra and blizzard her childhood friends, one of their closest friend, a princess from the air kingdom. Blizzard was her nickname, she was supposed to be an air dragon but born from a water dragon mother and an air dragon father she was born an ice dragon, the first of her kind, hence the name blizzard. She was outgoing and well powerful, more like a warrior princess, she wasn't fragile like the other princesses, like she and hydra whom were denied the opportunity or rather the right to fight, train or even leave the castle. Her parents let her train with her brothers, she's the only girl in their family and the only ice dragon known, even with her being the only female in her family, she wasn't denied the privilege to learn how to fight and defend herself. "Curse her father" Aurora thought to herself for everything he's ever done to her. She sighed heavily, she really missed her. The last time Aurora saw her was when she was fifteen since then they haven't seen each other. She was the one who gave Aurora that name, though she never liked it, she remembered always telling blizzard to stop calling her that. Sighing heavily Aurora buried her face in hands she started sobbing. She missed home, she wanted to go back to when she was a kid, she loved how life was when she was eleven. She doesn't remember anything from when she was ten but strangely remembered everything from when she was eleven.

Wrapping her hands around her, Hydra comforted her friend, even she wished she was back home, she hated it here as well, but what kept her sane and going was her mate. The only good thing that came out from this awful experience.
