"It's just our first weekend in Fairies town and you've made it your passion to finish the whole groceries estimated for half a month!!" Mom couldn't hold it in.
"What! Am just as surprised as you are am definitely not the one who did this." I retorted.
"You're not the one huh? Then who comes down every night from those mighty stairs and tip toes to the kitchen to get a midnight snack!" My mom exclaimed and I gasped.
I didn't think she would notice, I made sure not to make any noise while operating in the kitchen at night. The other day I unintentionally stumbled in when a mouse was having it's dinner. It practically raised it's tiny hands in surrender, I was so frightened. It seemed like time paused cause we stayed like that for some seconds before it ran off in fright. Poor thing. The next time I saw it was two days ago when I cought it squeezing something inside it's mouth. We stared at each other for some seconds before it went back to eating and I went to the cupboard to look for something to eat. you could say, we did have some mutual understanding.
The point is I don't know when it started, the late night food cravings, there are whole lot reasons though.
So I sighed, "mom am sorry I don't know why but I've been having a strong sense of hunger." I said pouting "it's okay honey I was just frustrated, and that was an interesting choice of words" she said "sense of hunger" she joked. "Come on mom am serious!" I groaned. "I know… I know cause my kitchen is doing just fine." She said sarcastically. "Mom!!"
"Alright there could be so many reasons why you feel very hungry all the time.
Stress." She stated,
"check!" I confirmed.
"It could be a way you use, to distract yourself for your problems." She said,
"okay? A form of distraction. Check!" I confirmed.
"A picked up hobby!" She said with a frown. "What? is that even a thing?" I asked with surprise.
"I don't know, It could be possible" she said.
"…Or maybe you're just flat out pregnant!" She said and I gasped with surprise. "Mom!!" "What? It could be true, so who would it likely be, Nathan?" She retorted with dreamy eyes. Oh this has gone to far.
"Mom okay, this is definitely a misunderstanding, Nathan and I haven't spoken since… I can't even remember the last time I saw him," I quickly concluded.
"What? but it's just been a week!" She exclaimed. Wait a minute something strange is definitely going on.
I remember clearly that there was a cold aura around them the moment they saw each other for the first time so why has mom suddenly become so fond of him.
"Why don't you bring him for dinner sometime." She said, that's it!
"Mom I told you, we don't talk to each other anymore and besides he has a girlfriend." I breathed out heavily. "You know what? I was feeling reather sorry for…"
"molesting my kitchen." Mom cut me off while nodding making the word 'molesting' very pompous. I blinked a few times.
"Yes, but now I think you are lucky." I said.
"how so?"
"Yeah you're lucky my teeth isn't strong enough otherwise I would have munched down the whole furniture in the house," I said obviously pissed.
"Huh!" Mom gasped dramatically "why would you do that?" She said with a face full of white teeth.
"That's it am going to my room!"
Sometimes my mom and I could be dramatic, if any one saw us moments ago they would think that we were two sisters fighting over who would be the first to choose a pj.
Anyway the next day I went to school with my two besties... not really I met them at the gate they were practically waiting for me.
"Gosh you look so sexy" Clara commented with wide eyes as she and Justin were checking me out.
Yeah even I think am sexy. today is a new week and I thought, why not look badass and I decided to go for leather. So I wore black leather skirt and a red tank top that exposed my belly, I kinda fill naked, so I also wore a leather jacket with some leather boots, thigh level not that it helped anyway.
"What in the mystical world are you wearing?" mom asked looking horrified she almost spat her tea as I came down stairs. "Hi Mom, bye Mom" I said monotonously as I went for the door am still mad at her for reasons I don't know exactly… because I forgot hehe. But I know I was pissed for some reason since last night so am still playing along with it. "There are troubles lurking around the streets, just what type are you looking for? Rape!!?" Mom yelled behind me as I shot the door.
Five minutes later I found myself in my room not changing though. I figured out that wearing all this clothes with a backpack wasn't appropriate so I decided to get rid of it, by taking out my designer bag and stuffing my school stuffs in it.
After the talk with my mom last night I realized that I actually liked Nathan… not much but enough to be pissed off when I remember we're not on talking terms and that he's already taken, that was quite a lot right?
Anyway am not a boyfriend snatcher or anything but I have decided to spite him, that's the least I can do. I know I sound like a desperate bitch but I really don't care, this isn't my first crush or anything but it's the first time I get to really like a guy not just because of his looks but… his person.
I don't know how she did it but Kelly managed to get him in her clawed up hands somehow. And if I was Nathan, and I had Kelly as my girlfriend our breakup news would be an old story.
