Emelda recovered by morning, surprising everyone, a bit too much. For they treated her like thin glass.
"M'lady allow me." Kage says, fetching the blanket she was eyeing. He refused to let her leave the bed in the infirmary. Rainer kept bringing her drinks and food without being asked or told. Milo kept checking in along with Raiden.
Even Prince Glenn seemed to be fussing over her too. He kept offering to get more doctors to come see her and already had sent for a large lumber delivery to the castle so they would use more firewood.
"Honestly, I feel fine. I could show you." Emelda frowns as Kage bundles her up. "And Rainer must still want to go to the tower."
He pauses, meeting her gaze as he lowers himself to a knee beside the bed. "I'm afraid he's much too worried after yesterday. We all are." He tells her lightly. Emelda makes a disgusted huff, covering her face.
