'The first day in Demonic Abode finally started' Andrew mused in his head. Without hesitation, he went to the training grounds as he wasn't hungry yet.
It was packed to the brim as demons of various ages trained like crazy, some were training solo while others sparred with each other.
The air of competition filled the entire space. Each demon exuded a robust will, focused on achieving their goals. Those training solo didn't let themselves slack off as they made their bodies breach the limits.
Those who were sparring didn't hesitate to beat up their opponent into a bloody pulp as they didn't shy away from hitting their genitals.
It was nothing but a place full of people who were focused on becoming more powerful!
For mortals to become mages, they don't just need to be able to connect with their soul but also need to have robust bodies which will be able to handle the existential elevation!
Although, demons had higher than average bodies on the current evolutionary scale of Aria, they still had to work their asses off for the best foundation
Indeed, to store more energy from the beginning, one needs to have a powerful and durable body. It's said that the quality of the body will dictate the rate of progression of the mage, in short, with better foundation are higher results!
The space was divided into cubicles, each was 10 meters wide and tall. There were 200 in total. The cubicles were packed to the brim as some cubicles had over 15 people sparring and training at the same time.
All cubicles were made out of reinforced glass. The cubicles were divided into blocks, each block had 10 cubicles. There were 20 blocks. Each block was further divided into 2 rows. Each row had 5 cubicles. The cubicles had only one entrance which was 1 meter wide and 2 meters tall, they had no doors to close them as they stayed open all year long.
There was a queue in front of each cubicle. Demons patiently waited as there was a time limit of 3 hours.
Andrew smartly chose the farthest cubicle from the entrance since not many would go that far.
The cubicle had some words written above the entrance: *Don't make trouble* and *Daily time limit is 3 hours*.
As expected, there were no demons in the queue. The cubicle had only 7 people training so Andrew just joined in.
With the first step into the entrance, everyone suddenly looked at him. Some had puzzled while others had condescending gazes on them.
But after a while, they got back to their training sessions.
Andrew shrugged it off as he started to adapt to his new body.
He performed moves that humans unfamiliar with demonic physique will not be able to block nor predict.
His newly transformed body was extremely flexible and on top of that, he had night vision and sonar! Although, he could only use sonar up to 3 meters in diameter.
But it was a massive helper nevertheless, it's as if he had eyes everywhere in a radius of 1.5 meters.
He could get into inhumane positions as his spine stretched and bent wherever he wanted. On top of his originally trained body, those new abilities were astonishing since his close quarter combat powers reached a new league.
He tirelessly trained for 3 hours until a sign appeared on the wall saying *3 hours have expired, leave" it was short and understandable.
Andrew simply left the cubical as he walked towards the entrance of the public training grounds. The training grounds were packed as ever, it's as if the long lines haven't shortened at all, Andrew casually strode to the entrance as he exited the facility.
Surprisingly, he hasn't seen anyone from his group. He didn't know the exact mental state of each kid after transformation but he suspected it to be mostly reluctance to accept their new reality. Anyways, he didn't care much as it was one of the many thoughts in his ever-calculative head.
His stomach made weird sounds indicating that he was hungry. Without much delay, he headed towards the distribution point that Samuel mentioned earlier.
With casual steps, he headed towards there as he had already memorized the route. Once he arrived there he saw a long queue of demons patiently waiting for whatever thing they wanted to get.
Andrew wanted to acquire basic necessities for his daily life. The line gradually shortened as the clerk in the front swiftly acted and gave the demons whatever they asked for.
The demons had to just say what they needed without the need for niceties. Eventually, it was Andrew's turn. The clerk had the same features like anyone else: deathly pale skin, sharp fangs, vertical pupils and long nails.
Andrew simply told the list of things as the clerk brought everything within 10 seconds. Andrew was pleasantly surprised by the working speed of the clerk.
Andrew was given a bag and the clerk told him that this is given only once and should not be lost. Indeed, all demons had bags with them.
Andrew stored everything in the bag as he headed back to the dormitory. Once he approached the dormitory he had to just open the doors to enter since his energy signature has been recorded.
The energy signature is something that all living beings have. It is tethered to a being's soul so it's nigh impossible to copy it unless you extract and refine that soul. Of course, weak mages and those that haven't explored and understood the concept of the soul will never be able to do that.
Once he entered the dormitory, the scene that unfolded didn't surprise him even a bit.
Kids lay on their beds as all of them had already gotten the bed sheets. Some of them were just sleeping while others sat, contemplating their lives and future prospects. The atmosphere was depressing as kids were confused and didn't know what to do next with their lives.
Some of them even thought about suicide but they were told off by their friends or heard from someone that they array will immediately get them back to life, so it was pointless and would just add pain and misery.
He didn't care about their mental state as he jumped on his bunk bed and took out the contents of his back.
There was a bar of soap, some pills and bedsheets. He put them bedsheets on his bunk bed as it lacked a pillow. He then sat down and ate a pill the size of a grain.
The clerk instructed him seeing that he was a newbie that this pill was called *Daily Energy Pill* it will provide all the necessary nutrition and energy to get going through the day. Andrew was glad that something like this existed since he wasn't someone who liked to spend his time enjoying food.
Back on Earth, he had sought about such idea too, but there wasn't anything even closely as effective as this since the human body was fragile. Moreover, the technology to produce something like this was non-existent.
Andrew knew who precisely makes such pills!
Alchemists!
Alchemists can make not only pills but also many other artificial things that are made from nature's herbs and minerals. They can even make explosives, meaning that alchemy encompasses a vast field of abilities and isn't limited only to things that can be digested.
After a while, Andrew wondered why the clerk didn't put anything to clean his teeth, since teeth are a vital part of every living being and must be kept clean and healthy.
He thought about the most plausible theory. They couldn't be easily eroded by bacteria or the pills that he was given would make no harm to him.
'Probably my teeth are durable enough to not be corroded by bacteria' he thought.
Indeed, his sharp row of fangs and the fact that he is a being that exists on negative types of mana is very telling.
Andrew decided to take a shower since there was a bathroom in the dormitory. After taking a shower he threw one last glance at the still depressed and miserable kids. Then he headed towards the library.
He didn't know where the library was so he went around asking people around, but as expected no one went out of their way to answer him, they just simply ignored him.
Andrew didn't decide to go by himself to search for the library without proper information because of the sheer number of tunnels that lead to different places. He just couldn't let himself get lost or unintentionally trespass on someone's property.
He eventually spotted a demon carrying a book in his hands. He decided to follow him as there was no other choice.
The demon didn't find it suspicious the fact that the demon was tailing him. He just brushed it off as a person with a similar destination.
The demon went through numerous tunnels until he arrived at the entrance of a large facility. It had a simple sign saying *Library*.
Andrew was ecstatic since he finally found the library!
