As soon as the announcement was made everyone experienced a range of emotions, some were excited, but most were fearful. No one knew how today would go. In the first days, some people were lucky and had collected a lot of resources, but this was because most creatures ignored them or they did not meet anything they could not handle but now they would have to fight. Some were prepared and eager to face stronger opponents to obtain better rewards.
Baek Hyun was among those who were fearful, he preferred to look at his situation realistically, and right now he lacked the strength to compete against most creatures on the island.

However the rabbit leaped to its feet quickly, it revealed its razor-sharp incisors, and looked at Baek Hyun menacingly.
Taking a stance Baek Hyun pulled out his katana and prepared to fight, fleeing was impossible the rabbit crossed ten meters in 3 seconds.
Once again the rabbit leaped 3 meters high, Baek hyun dodged left and swung the katana with all his might, blood splattered proving he had injured his opponent.
The rabbit seemed angrier and growled fiercely, noticing its opponent's strength and speed the rabbit revealed its claws on its hind legs.
When Baek Hyun saw its claws he immediately ran for cover, the rabbit followed close behind, and when Baek Hyun would run behind an object it would be destroyed by its claws.
Panting hard Baek hyun dodged desperately, he knew if he were caught he would be dead.
When the movement behind him paused Baek hyun glanced back briefly, the rabbit who had utterly terrified him had one of its legs trapped underneath a boulder.
"This is my chance."
He quickly moved toward the rabbit, but when it sensed him it growled and started moving wildly desperate to reach Baek Hyun.
Fearing the boulder might be moved, Baek Hyun stabbed the rabbit in its abdomen. The rabbit screeched and struggled wildly, however, Baek Hyun aimed at its neck and swung repeatedly until it stopped moving.

Baek Hyun put away the rewards without looking at them, his heart was beating frantically and he could not stop shaking he had never felt so close to death, it was a miracle he came out unharmed.
After drinking some water Baek Hyun calmed his racing heart and decided to move forward, luckily the corpse would disappear soon or other creatures would come over.
"I really wanna go back and just hug myself for an hour, I can't believe I used to like rabbits"
Baek Hyun wandered for two hours and obtained 2 wooden chests and 2 crystal fragments from killing two land turtles who hadn't mutated much, apart from the tougher-than-normal shells they were not much of a threat.
It took another hour for Baek Hyung to reach his house, thankfully no creatures were near.
After locking the wooden door Baek Hyun relaxed for the first time since he set out.
