Unlike commoner magic Ancestral magic could only be obtained thru the combining of two ancestral bloodlines. In simpler words, if a man of an ancestral bloodline impregnated a female of an ancestral bloodline, that child would be born with an ancestral bloodline. On the other hand, If two individuals possessing commoner's magic had a child, there was only about a 10% chance that child would possess commoner's magic as well. That chance was even lower if not both the individuals possessed commoner's magic. Due to this, knightly families prioritized continuing the history of their house rather than their bloodline. They often adopted people capable of wielding magic, and apparently, their families engaged in regular parties and orgies with other knight families to continue their magical lineages. There were various types of calamities, and the pollution of the land always was a serious problem since it became unliveable.
Depending on the zone and what was generated inside of it, it could either be a nightmare to have near the territory or a blessing. Our territory, for example, had a mineral referred to as rock salt, which replenished itself over time. Due to how far inland the lock breed family was, this source of salt had been a massive financial income. Our territory in itself was a special case, though, but before Isa had the chance to explain the future, Joseph had interrupted him, All this info was just too much.
