Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

It was early in the morning, the sunlight was peeking through the leaves of the trees. Nora was outside, she held a wooden ladle, stirring a big pot. Beside her was Coco and a young girl.

They were staring at her while she was cooking, she seemed to be talking, telling the two of them the process of what she was making. The others were also outside, talking amongst themselves.

Sam on the other hand was inside the hall, he was facing the stone tablet and talking to himself.

" I already have 112 gold coins. With this much, I think I can already buy a house for the others. " He has already summoned 9 people, the hall would be too crowded if they all stayed here. Besides, there are ladies, they should have separate houses.

Sam scrolled through the Shop looking for affordable houses. Houses were not cheap, the cheapest he found costs 30 gold coins, it looked like a small shed. In the end, Sam decided to buy two of the same design. Costing 55 gold coins each.

It was a simple wooden house. The roof was made of wood. The wall was made of half stone and half wood. It had two rooms, and a small living room in the front door.

" A very basic design, but this would work for now. " Sam thought. There were other designs that looked better, but he would only be able to buy one.

On top of the stone tablet, a dim light shined. Two hexagonal stone tiles appeared. It was the same size as Sam's hands. The surface was inscribed with blue runes that Sam couldn't read.

[ Building Rune ]

A stone tile inscribed with ancient magic. Place on a suitable area and activate. Once activated, the runes inscribed would be consumed.

" I see.." Sam was a little confused when he saw that buildings were for sale. When he bought weapons, they would appear beside the stone tablet, as if they were there this whole time, but what would happen if he bought a house? Would it fall from the sky?

Sam laughed at the thought and walked outside the hall. The others greeted him after seeing him walk out. Sam had gotten used to this already, even though all of them slept in the hall, every time they saw Sam, they would always greet him. Coco still not speaking, would just nod at him.

Sam went to a clearing not far from the hall. He didn't want to build houses near the hall, he wanted to have a clear area around it. This would be his house after all.

Holding the stone tile in his hand, Sam muttered softly. " Activate. " The blue rune inscribed in the tile started to lose its colour. The blue colour from the rune gathered in the middle of the tile and it started to shake.

Slowly at first, after a few seconds, it shook harder and harder, until the tile showed cracks. Sam had no choice but to throw the tile on the ground.

Upon hitting the ground, the tile cracked and the blue colour gathered in the middle started to turn. It started to suck the surrounding air, dirt and debris.

The others saw the commotion and went to see what it was. The wind started to pick up, and stone started to appear in a pattern. Walls started to form, the opening for the doors and windows as well.

It didn't take long before the entire building was finished. Sam was a little impressed, he thought that a building would just fall from the sky.

The others were astonished as well. Nora was the first to take a look inside, Coco also went in, and the others followed. The inside was actually not that bad. They were simple furniture, like chairs and tables. There was even a wooden bed with a mattress, although it was only stuffed with straw and was a little rough.

" This would be the housing for the ladies. This is only temporary, we'll have better housing in the future. " Sam said to the group with him.

" This is already more than enough my Lord. " The young girl said in a shy and low voice. She was one of the people that Sam summoned last night.

Alice Millard

Level: N/A

Born from a commoner family in a large kingdom. Her father was a soldier and mother a florist. She grew up taking a liking to gardening.

Profession: Gardener

Potential: High Bronze

She had the Gardener profession. Based on her description Sam analyzed that profession would directly be related to the hobbies or likes of the person. If so, why didn't Xyra have a profession If she grew up as a hunter? He didn't think about it too hard.

Even if the profession they had was not that relevant, it would still be useful, one way or another.

Sam then proceeded to activate the next stone tile. The phenomenon that happened earlier happened again. The building was 10 to 15 meters away from the first house.

" This one for the Men." Sam smiled at Old Man Gus. He smiled in response and went inside to look as well. The others followed, including the two new summons.

Herk Mirk

Level: 1

Potential: High Bronze

Leath Nor

Level: 1

Potential: Low Silver

Herk Mirk? What kind of name is that? Was Sam's first thought after checking the description of the two last night. The summon this time was not bad, two of them were already level 1. Their potential was not bad either, a high Bronze, and one was Silver.

Currently, he has six people at level 1. Since level 1 was actually strong enough, he would have sufficient strength to start dealing with the surrounding dangers. He started to formulate a plan of action, this time, to deal with the Goblin Camp.

Before that though, the group went to the large table outside the Hall, Nora was already serving bowls of food. It was stew made from the ears of the Wild Hares that they had hunted. After a few hours of simmering, it was tender and actually tasted delicious. With a wooden spoon, Sam scooped a mouthful. It was Sweet and Savory.

Melting at the touch of his tongue.

" This is f*cking delicious." Sam couldn't help but curse as he poured the entire bowl on his mouth.

An hour later, a group of people left the protection of the shield. They held different type of weapons. One bow, A sword, Iron Spear, and the rest were armed with wooden spears.

" Let's go find more money. "
