Sasha awoke slowly to the soft light coming through the curtains as she stirred in her sleep. As her eyes shuddered open, she placed her hands where Adam normally sleeps close to her, yet her hand tracked down just cool sheets. She had a frown on her face as she yawned. She was looking forward to seeing him that morning but was disappointed since he wasn't sleeping by her side.
She sat up in bed, scouring her eyes to clean up the leftovers. She didn't feel like she was in the room because no one was there as usual. Shoved aside the covers, she swung her legs past the brink of the bed and stood up, her exposed feet connecting with the extravagant rug. Sasha walked out of the bedroom and into the hallway, encircling her in a robe.
