Chapter 21 - Midnight Ghost Talk

As the sound rang out, a bright light seemed to engulf everything in sight, blurring everything around him...

When Chen opened his eyes again, he was still in front of the familiar computer and the familiar office surrounded him.

The events that had just happened felt like a dream, and when he looked down he found no trace of blood, yet the pain still lingered in his memory.

Jiang Fei, Zheng Ling, in his mind, Chen vaguely remembered these two names, now that I think about it, the corresponding story participants should be John and Xiaoyu, but unfortunately neither of them made it to the end.

This second story was far more complex and dangerous than the so-called beginner's script. Out of three participants, only one survived.

In retrospect, they should have realized that the most dangerous presence in the story was not Qi, but Zhou Xue; it was this one mistake that almost cost them their lives.

Even though he had managed to escape, Chen felt very lucky.

Recalling the experiences of the story with lingering fear, Chen suddenly noticed that he was now holding a cylindrical object in his hand.

It was John's flashlight.

Surprised to find that he had taken the flashlight out of the story world, Chen examined it and found that it looked like an ordinary old-fashioned metal flashlight. When he pressed the button, no strange light came out; it seemed to have broken down.

However, with the fact that it had been brought out of the story world, Chen would not just treat it as a normal item.

Glancing at the time at the bottom right of the computer, it had gone from 1:81 at night to 10:00 at night, and he had experienced half a day in the ghost story world, but in reality it had only been three hours.

The entire company was already empty.

It was already late at night, and staying here was meaningless. Chen closed the computer, picked up the flashlight and headed out.

The night corridor was filled with the sound of his footsteps echoing, and although he knew this was in the real world, it still gave him a slight chill.

He still had no idea what triggered the start of the story. The first time he was exposed to the so-called eerie radio, and the second time he entered the story world, what was the cause?

Ding! The soft-lit elevator stopped in front of him, and as he thought about these questions, Chen unconsciously walked in.

After the elevator had run for a while, it stopped at the 13th floor. As the elevator door opened, a woman in a red dress walked in.

Although it was late at night, it was still an office building, so Chen paid no mind, and instead continued to think about his own problems.

The light in the elevator was a soothing softness, and after a while, Chen looked up, checked the changing numbers above, then moved his gaze to the side, he unconsciously saw...

Under the bright light of the elevator, the woman in red beside him, with red high heels, was not touching the ground.

In other words, the woman in red who had been standing next to him was actually lightly floating in midair.

And at the same time, as if sensing his gaze, the woman in red who had been looking at the elevator door slowly turned her head, expressionlessly looking at Chen.

In an instant, a chill ran down Chen's spine.

What's going on?

This isn't the real world, why did I encounter "that thing"! Why is it looking at me, was it discovered? Or should I act like nothing happened?!

Just as Chen was sweating in fear, the elevator suddenly stopped at the first floor, and the doors opened normally to both sides.

Fortunately, as someone who had real experience with spirits, he was able to control himself and not show any obvious reaction, instead maintaining a calm demeanor as he left the elevator.

Through the glass door of the lobby, the woman in red behind him had already disappeared without a trace.

Nothing else unusual had happened by the time he left the office building, and Chen finally let out a sigh of relief before frowning again.

These past few days had been quite thrilling, will he have to keep dealing with these deadly things in the future?

Wasn't there any way to solve this?

Thinking about this question with distress, he had unknowingly arrived at a park.

Passing through this small park was a shortcut to the subway station, Chen had walked here countless times during the day, but in this deserted night, even the shadows of the trees in the park gave a strange feeling.

Just as Chen decided to speed up his pace and quickly pass through the park to the subway station, he suddenly noticed that the woman in red who had disappeared before, had appeared not far ahead of him. Her expressionless pale face was still fixedly looking at him.

The midnight park and the lingering ghost woman gave Chen a creepy feeling, feeling that the situation was not good, he immediately took out John's flashlight from his pocket, and without hesitation, he turned it on towards the woman in red in front of him.

Snap!

The flashlight that just wouldn't turn on suddenly emitted an unusual light, and the girl who had been staring emotionlessly at it twisted her face into a ferocious expression and emitted a loud screech as her pale hands turned into claws!

However, the female ghost was not repelled by the light of the flashlight like the ghost in the stories.

Just as Chen was filled with fear, a voice suddenly rose from behind him.

"Stop!"

Hearing the voice, Chen was stunned, as the demons he had encountered before were not ones that could communicate. But this voice did not seem to carry any maliciousness...

As the light of the flashlight faded away, the girl in front of him let out a screech and disappeared into the night as a red shadow. At the same time, Chen turned around and saw another figure that had appeared at some point behind him.

It was a girl in a white dress with long black hair and a cold expression, making her look like a ghost hidden in the night. But the shadows underneath her feet showed that she was an indisputable human.

The voice from before must have come from her.

Although Chen was sure that the girl was a human, he felt an uncomfortable feeling emanating from her. A special aura.

Although the girl was young and beautiful, Chen could be certain that this aura had nothing to do with femininity.

So he looked at her suspiciously and tentatively asked, "Who are you..."

The girl brushed her long hair and revealed her pale neck with a faint smile.

"Let's get to know each other again. I'm the host of the Midnight Ghost Talk, the Supernatural Radio Station."
