Chapter 4 - A New Source of Life

Doug continued to spend his days in the village, working hard to help its inhabitants. He had quickly grown attached to the people, who were so welcoming and friendly to him, despite being a stranger from another world. One of the biggest challenges the village faced was a shortage of water. With no rivers or lakes nearby, the villagers were forced to rely on rain or travel long distances to gather water from springs.

Doug decided to turn his attention to finding a solution for this problem. He remembered how in his previous life as an engineer, he had learned about water filtration systems. However, this was a completely different world, and he didn't know if such technology existed here.

One day, while exploring the nearby forest, Doug stumbled upon a small clearing filled with glowing flowers. As he approached, he could feel a strange energy in the air. Suddenly, an idea struck him. What if he could harness this energy to create water?

He returned to the village with a sense of excitement and eagerness to try out his idea. He spent several days studying the magical plants and experimenting with different incantations. Finally, after many attempts, he succeeded in creating a spell that could draw water from the air and turn it into a clear, fresh source of water.

Excited by his discovery, Doug set to work on creating a water tank that could store the water created by the spell. He used his magic to shape the rocks into a large container and cast the spell, slowly filling the tank with water. To his delight, he realized that the tank could replenish itself over time, using the mana from the air to slowly create water and fill up.

With the new water source, Doug worried about how to distribute it throughout the village. He knew that he couldn't just build a water tank and leave it there. He needed to find a way to bring the water to the homes of the villagers, so that they could use it for cooking, washing, and drinking.

He thought about the many ways he could use his newfound knowledge of magic and incantation to help the village. He wanted to make sure that the water he had created would be used in the most effective way possible, and he was eager to explore more of the magic in this world and see what other possibilities it held.
