Gael stood below the tear in the sky, the air was frigid, storm clouds ominously circling the tear. It looked like humongous demonic eye was bleeding into the world. He knew that today was the last day of any form of peace left this era and ushered in one of blood, fire, and sacrifices.

Gael was in his bed sleeping, when the alarm on his phone went off. Gael yawned as he got up to stretch after awakening, the morning light coming through his window hitting his face. Gael looked into the mirror seeing his black unkempt hair. He was lightly tan at 6'2, with some lean muscle on him. He would turn 21 today.
"Today is gonna be great" he said this to himself as he heard a choir of voices singing " Happy Birthday" His mother(Julia), younger sister(Steph), and father(Henry) entered the room while singing. After he was wished a good birthday by his family, he thanked them and ate breakfast with them. While eating breakfast the news was playing on the tv talking about some power outages going on around the world. After I finished my food I got ready for my morning hike.
The green hills were beautiful at my local park, I loved running through the trails here. I started heading to my favorite spot, a spot where no one but I knew of. It took me only 15 mins to get to my spot, the spot was hidden by a dense amount of trees the hill had. I bent down and slowly went under the many tree branches. The area was a rough circle shape that had trees lining the perimeter, in the center was a tree. The tree was beautiful as it was old. The spot was like my place of inspiration, the smell of the trees made me relax and helped me think whenever I had anything on my mind. I sat down next to the tree in the center.
"Hello" an unfamiliar voice hit my ears.
I quickly jumped to my feet and looked around for the voice. "Hello" I said back,
I didn't see anyone. I felt a hand touch my shoulder as I turned. I felt scared as I had the tree to my back. There was no way someone could be directly behind me. As I finished turning I locked eyes with her. There before me was a gorgeous mature woman who looked in her 30's more beautiful than any model I had ever seen. Her hair was a beautiful dark green shade, which only brought out the enchanting ness of her amber colored eyes. "Hello Gael, I'm sorry if I startled you. " I was to memorized by her beauty that I couldn't answer. "I am Gaia, the soul and personification of the world " It was only until she told me her name I realized she was apart of the tree stuck out forming her torso where it turned into her.
"And I am Gael, of uhh my momâŠ." As I finished my response, Gaia let out a small chuckle and said "I know who you are Gael, I have watched over you for a very long time" I felt shivers down my spine as it was a little unnerving standing before her and cringing at my previous response. "What do you mean you've watched me for a very long time and what have I been chosen for"
"I can see all through the very earth for I am the earth"
"If you can see everything than how many fingers am i⊠"
"Seven" she said before I finished my sentence.
"Then you must know how old I am, when's my birthday"
"November 17th, 2001, or otherwise today"
I was shocked, I didn't fully believe her at first but I now believed she was Gaia, an existence close to god and that she indeed has been watching for a very long time.
"What have been chosen for" I said in an excited and nervous voice.
"For the salvation of this world."
