Before the humans, elves, dwarves, and other races came into existence, there was only one demi-human race: the Alf. The Alf were human-like in appearance but had a longer lifespan, exceptional wisdom, and an unparalleled affinity for mana. Their thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and they sought to create and discover everything in the world.
However, the primordial demons were not to be so easily defeated. They sought to bring chaos and destruction to the Alf realm and so they intervened, but the Alf were still able to emerge victorious, even though it came with a great cost. The victory over the primordial demons came with a curse, a curse that would ensure that the Alf would never be able to produce any offspring. This curse was enacted so that the primordial demons could never again pose a threat to the Alf.
As time passed, the Alf slowly became extinct. The curse that was imposed on them had taken its toll, and the Alf were no longer able to produce any offspring. The cities and wonders that they had built were now left to the elements, and the memory of the Alf slowly faded from the minds of the people. The floating cities drifted away on the winds, the cities under the ocean were slowly claimed by the waves, and the cities carved into the mountains were slowly lost to time. The legacy of the Alf was all but forgotten, except for the few who remembered the tales of their greatness.
The war between Valanoria and the Alf was a devastating and catastrophic event that lasted for many years. Valanoria, the pride demon who hated to lose in any battle, led an army of demons in a relentless attack against the Alf city throughout the world.
The Alf, with their long lifespan and excellent wisdom, fought back with all their might. Their affinity with mana allowed them to harness its power and use it in the war. They fought against the demons and the dragon, using their vast knowledge and skills to overcome their enemies. However, Valanoria was a formidable opponent, and the Alf soon realized that they were outmatched.
Despite the Alf's best efforts, Valanoria's army was too strong and relentless. City after city fell to the demons, leaving destruction and chaos in their wake. The Alf knew that they were in dire straits, and they knew that they had to find a way to stop Valanoria before it was too late.
And so, the Alf gathered all their knowledge and wisdom, and they crafted a powerful curse that would seal Valanoria away for eternity. They knew that this curse would come at a great cost, but they were willing to pay that price if it meant saving their people.
And so, the curse was cast, and Valanoria was sealed away, never to be seen or heard from again. However, the curse had a terrible price, as the Alf was now unable to produce offspring under certain conditions. This resulted in the eventual extinction of the Alf race, leaving their floating cities, underwater cities, and underground cities as the only remnants of their once great civilization.
