When Gilgamesh told them it was time to depart, they gathered around him after giving the world around them a last look.
Coating himself in all five natures of true energy, he channeled the fullness of his power in order to perform his greatest work yet.
Taking his parents and the others into the void of space, Gilgamesh looked around at 'The Collective' and prepared to reshape it.
"Space is no more, let there be no more dimensions. Only a single plane will remain, and in that plain will exist a new space."
His words, when bolstered by all of his power, caused reality to adhere to his whims. Entire planes of existence were erased, dimensions perished and planets vanished as though they never existed in the first place. Though they were not entirely destroyed, they had been sent to a kind of 'grey' area.
When Gilgamesh reduced the entire universe to a single plane, he then created a world there, far larger than any world had ever been. For that world, he created the necessities of life, and then created living beings by the billions.
He also injected the people he had come to know, and sent his parents and the others down onto it as well.
"There will be a permanent connection between this world and my soul-- a connection that cannot be severed. It will live as long as my soul lives, and will perish along with me if I am to die."
As Gilgamesh's word became unbreakable truth, he felt a chill run down his spine, and an unprecedented sense of peril assailed his being. He gasped and looked in a random direction, peering into the void with wide eyes.
'What the hell was that... It felt like something was looking at me...'
Not being able to figure anything out despite even relying on the Omniscient Author, Gilgamesh finally gave up on it and descended onto the new world.
He had created a world forged from his very imagination. All year round, there would be spring, summer, autumn and winter. There were all manner of creatures, some of which did not even exist anywhere other than Gilgamesh's mind.
He had figured out that he could create life if it came directly from his imagination by using the Obscure Spark and Truth's Mind, but when he tried to do the same for his father and best friend, Enkidu, he was unable to.
The first thing he did when he descended onto the new world was invoke truth.
"Ninsun will appear before me."
Hopeful tears welled up in his eyes- apprehension in every weighted breath that he took. As truth was invoked, he saw a figure materialize out of thin air, standing before him and gasping as confusion overcame her.
A tall woman, with sparkling golden-brown hair and bright eyes turned to face Gilgamesh. She was every bit as dignified as Gilgamesh remembered, and despite the traces of sorrow on her face, an ancient power and wisdom emanated from her that overcame all else.
Her dress was long and simple, and she was barefooted.
When she saw Gilgamesh, and he saw her, they were both stunned to silence.
"Hello," she barely managed to say, "My name is Ninsun."
"Hi," Gilgamesh smiled with quivering lips.
"I am Gilgamesh."
In no time at all, Ninsun rushed to grab Gilgamesh, saying nothing. As she held him, her legs became weak and she fell to the floor, still holding him tight.
"I have waited... all these years. How could you make Mother wait for so long?"
Pained by her words, Gilgamesh could only hold her close and rub her back, "I'm so sorry, Mother. I'm truly, truly sorry."
She pulled away from him and wiped her eyes, doing her best to smile, "I can't wait to hear what happened. Tell me everything."
"I will, Mother. You should come meet the others."
"Others?" Incredulous, Ninsun was pulled to her feet as she finally looked around at the world. It was beautiful in her sight, and her eyes sparkled with interest and awe.
"Just where are we?"
Gilgamesh smirked with emotion, like a child proudly showing off his work to his mother, "This is a world that I created, Mother, just for all of you."
Once Gilgamesh took Ninsun to the others, Ishtar immediately fell at her feet and apologized over and over, until she started crying. Ninsun and Gilgamesh had to console her.
He had created a mansion for them, similar to their old home, and also an entire city that was the very image of what Dramaour City would have been.
When Gilgamesh introduced Ninsun as his mother, Angelica and Logan looked at each other with odd expressions. It was a bit of a confusing concept, but they had both given birth to Gilgamesh.
One was just his mother from another life. It did not take long for them to adjust, and they all got along as Gilgamesh regaled them with the story. When they finally got the point where Gilgamesh had conversed with the Divine Ones, Ninsun seemed distracted.
He noticed, but did not immediately say something. They talked and celebrated into the night, and eventually went off on their own to rest.
Gilgamesh and Ninsun were outside the living room on the veranda, chatting under the night sky. The moons Gilgamesh had created were spectacular to behold, and seemed to sparkle similarly to Ninsun's hair, each of them a different color.
"Anu referred to them as the 'ancestors,' I believe. He was so closely connected to the idea of Heaven, that I always thought the ancestors were just gods. It's hard to imagine how such beings can even exist." Ninsun sighed.
"That's because the Divine Ones are beyond this realm. What we have experienced and learnt here is nothing compared to what exists in the outside world. Even the system of power here is heavily flawed and weak."
"Those beings, the Divine Ones, are like living manifestations of power. They are shrewd and careful, because if they aren't they risk handing control of their power to someone else. They thought I could be brought under them, which is why I now command all of their power within this realm."
"Even so, the stability of this realm is falling. Thanks to my efforts, this planet will remain unscathed for as long as I live, but I cannot stay here. When this realm perishes, and only this world I have created remains, I will no longer be permitted to live here."
"I will be forced to return to the world I come from. The real world."
Ninsun and Gilgamesh simply looked to the sky after that, taking in the beauty of the stars. "I wish he were here to see you now. He would be so proud."
Gilgamesh chuckled and waved his hand evasively, "I've not done anything yet to be proud of. I need to be sure that you all are safe when I leave. Once I know that for sure, that is when I will have truly done something worthy of praise."
"Nonsense," Ninsun spat, startling Gilgamesh so much that he almost fell off of the veranda.
"You overcame the odds stacked against you, and were not blinded by revenge even when offered the greatest power imaginable. You kept a level head and saw through their plot, something I know your father would never stop praising you for."
"You grew up. Even after millions of years in your past life, you had not. But now, after a little over a decade, you've managed to grow up. If for nothing else, that would make him feel like the proudest father alive."
Gilgamesh's mouth was agape, but he quickly collected himself and smiled.
"You know, he always wondered how such an arrogant brat could ever be his son. Lugalbanda's humility was what he was known for, and it was why he was able to use his power wisely. He always hoped that you would do the same."
Unknowingly, Gilgamesh's eyes had started to water. He wiped them and gave his mother a hug, then they continued looking to the sky.
The night passed, and they both eventually went to bed.
When Gilgamesh went to his room, he found Ishtar there waiting for him. She was wearing a nightgown, and was spread out on the bed, clearly having already made herself comfortable.
When she saw him, she sat up. "Finally."
Gilgamesh gulped. This image of Ishtar was unlike any he had seen before. It was an intoxicating image, and he found himself licking his lips.
Beneath her nightgown, he could see that she had forgone her undergarments, and so he could see the immaculate, delicate sight of her exposed chest, teasing him with each tiny movement she made.
"Did you wait long," he swallowed.
"It doesn't matter. You're here now. Hurry up and get to bed."
Gilgamesh smiled wryly and took his shirt off. "Now remember, Inanna, I am still a child in this body. We have to practice self-control and-"
"Oh, shut up!" Ishtar grabbed him by the arm and pulled him down onto he bed with her. Her legs instantly wrapped around him and, as his face came closer and closer to her own, she could feel a pulsating movement coming from his groin.
She gasped when she felt it, before giving him a sly, taunting smirk.
"That doesn't feel like a child's..."
Gilgamesh bled silent tears as he watched the image of the woman he loved become more and more alluring. He found it harder and harder to control himself, and soon she pulled him in for a kiss that he could not resist.
"... nooo..."
