"Let's make camp here," Andrea said.
"I agree," Leo said. "My legs are getting tired from all this walking. We should've hired a horse drawn carriage to take us to Genesis."
"We've barely covered any distance and we still have a few hours of sunlight left," Gregory argued. "You're just being lazy."
"We need to make sure Remus is battle ready?" Andrea said.
"We can do that later," Gregory argued again.
"As the party leader, Master Remus has the authority to make decisions," Leo said. "Master Remus, may we make camp in this ideal spot and assess your combat ability or keep walking until we faint?"
"I prefer democracy," Remus said. "Let's put it up for a vote. Those who would like to camp here raise your hands."
Leo, Andrea and Remus raised their hands.
"We will camp here then."
After setting up tents and building a fireplace, Andrea and Remus got ready to train.
"Equip your weapon like this," Andrea said before opening her status window.
Remus opened his status window and tried to equip a weapon.
"My class isn't allowing me to equip any weapon," Remus said.
"What kind of weapons can an Artificer equip?" Andrea asked.
"I've only ever made tools," Remus said.
"Too bad tools can't fight," Andrea answered.
"What if they could?" Remus responded. "I have iron and coal that I can use to make steel. I just need a power source."
"If we can find a magic beast, I can retrieve its magic core for you," Andrea offered."
"Perfect," Remus said. "It's time to use my search skills."
"There are some elemental Wyverns a hundred meters east of us," Remus said. "A rock type and a wind type. Take Gregory and bring me one of each."
While they were gone, Remus sketched the design for a robot.
Andrea and Gregory located the Wyverns but they tried to run immediately.
Andrea threw her dagger that nicked the right thigh of the rock-type Wyvern but its body turned to hard rock and it took no damage.
However, it immediately stopped running and stayed still like it was frozen due to Andrea's skill.
The second wind-type wyvern stopped, turned around and began to charge them at an unnaturally fast speed.
Gregory unsheathed his steel sword and attacked it.
Both Wyverns took damage and were defeated. Their magic cores dropped to the ground and they disappeared.
Andrea brought both cores to Remus.
A dozen wyverns came out of nowhere and attacked their camp.
The wyverns attacked the Robot Guardian but could not penetrate its defence.
Andrea and Gregory attacked the wyverns from both flanks but only managed to defeat 4 of them.
The Robot Archer then mowed down the rest with his arrows.
"Those things are stronger than I expected," Andrea said. "At least now you're not defenceless."
They camped that night with the Robots guarding them while they slept and Remus's Search skill continuously active.
After travelling for three more days and nights, they were finally reaching their destination.
"We're almost at the ruins of Genesis where we will find the Basilisk but we're a bit low on supplies," Andrea said. "The town of Dirtmouth is nearby. It's the Easternmost settlement of the Kingdom. We should be able to get what we need from there."
"I don't think so," Leo said emphatically. "I think we should build a camp here and continue our quest in the morning."
"There's nothing wrong with doing a supply run," Gregory said.
"I think we should take another vote," Remus said.
"Please Master Remus," Leo begged. "We cannot go to Dirthmouth."
"Explain yourself," Remus said to him. "There has to be a reason why you don't want us going there."
"I am from Dirtmouth," Leo said. "I was the only one born with a high-ranking class and everyone was so proud when I left to become a Maester at the Citadel."
"Then why don't you want to go back?" Gregory asked.
"I failed to become a Maester and I'm ashamed to see them again before I achieve that," Leo said.
"You shouldn't let other people's opinions of you bother you," Andrea said. "If anyone mocks you then say the word and I will destroy them."
"I disagree. I think that you should be brave and tell them the truth," Gregory said. "Courage is the difference between boys and men."
"I plan to go back eventually once I have been given the title of Maester," Leo said. "Not a moment before. I beg you, Master Remus"
Remus considered his request and considered the other party member's opinions for a few moments before giving an answer.
"We will camp here and complete our journey tomorrow."
