A young man with dark brown hair reaching his shoulder, pale blue eyes was performing push up at the terrace of a large dark golden mansion. He was about 1.6 m tall with well defined body and well developed muscle in right places. The mansion was surrounded by different types of beautiful flowers and trees which added more beauty to the building.
He was covered with sweats and his toned body was be visible from the thin layer of cloth that were drenched with his sweats. Breathing heavily he stood, turning toward the table he grabbed a bottle of water.
Gulp! Gulp!
He emptied the whole bottle in a single breath. He took a deep breathe, closed his eyes spreading his arms took a bath in the morning sun. With a relaxed face he stood there meditating, a sudden motor sound woke him from deep contemplation. He was thinking over all his mistakes that he made from all those martial arts he performed a while.
He learned different martial arts and movement technique from his father all those year ago, but he was still far from reaching his father's level. The martial arts included fist technique and sword art which harnessed energy from nature whereas movement technique was based on absorbing the energy and maintaining the proper flow inside the body for desired results.
He tilted his head toward the entrance of the building and saw a blue motor bike making its way toward the main house. A faint smile appeared on his face as he realized who was coming. It had been a long time since he saw John, from his father he knew that he was in 'Jeniorix Empire' for some mission. It seems he finished his work or maybe he was here to report his finding to the father. In haste to meet John before he escaped again he turned toward bathroom to actually bath this time.
After taking a short bath a person appeared in a mirror, he was in a white shirt with red tie and a black coat and suit over them, faintly smiling over his own good look he made his way toward the door and the main hall.
"Morning everyone!" He greeted everyone which included his mother, sister and John. They were sitting around a round table in the dining room eating breakfast while taking. He pulled a chair and sat across his sister.
"Good morning big brother!" his sister replied with a smile, he took a plate served himself egg curry and just as he was about to eat, his mother replay to his greeting made him a little awkward.
"What morning? Its already after afternoon."
Massaging his temples he made an excuse.
"I guess I was so concentrated that I forgot the flow of time well."
His mother seemed to believe him a little and left him alone to eat his breakfast.
"From the way you are dressed, it seems you are going on a date. Tell me who is the lucky girl?"
John interjected. With black hair, brown eyes, long and muscular arms, well defined body and a good looking face, he was above average than most but was still single even though he was already reaching his early thirties. He knew many of John's female colleagues were after him but he seems to reject them all.
"What are you saying big bro. I don't have a girlfriend and this is the academy uniform. Today is orientation so I am formally dressed otherwise you know me. And if we are talking about girls, when are you going to marry?"
"I am going to marry when its time" He replied narrowing eyes.
"Well I heard that 'that' girl and you were doing you know what. I guess I heard some baseless rumor. I knew you didn't have the guts. If only you were as confident as this while facing girls then I would have one less thing to worry." John replied grinning for ear to ear.
Gasp!
His mother acted like she was surprised and covered her mouth with both hands before saying
"So my son is already a big boy now huh, even hiding things from his own mother now. Quick tell me who is she? She is beautiful right? She needs my acknowledgement if she wants to be with my son." she was excited from the prospect of having a beautiful daughter-in-law.
Charles was dumbfounded. he gazed at his mother then towards John and his sister, everyone was grinning from ear to ear. Well his sister's smile was genuine, she was full of happiness for gaining big sister.
He gave a awkward smile neither confirming nor denying about the said girl. He felt if he started talking he will be cornered and will be forced to spill the beans so he started eating his breakfast in silence ignoring everyone.
"Come on Charles you don't even have the courage to admit it. What are you afraid of? If you keep it a secret then someone else will make a move in public and maybe her own family will marry her to someone else. You need to be more proactive. Passiveness is good but over doing it not. If you are this passive over a girl then how are you going to face enemies and this vast world in the future alone. This world will eat you even if you have strength."
His mother nodded whereas his sister tilted her head in confusion.
"I.." nothing came from his mouth.
"Alright! Alright! Take your time about the girl. You are just joining the academy, but about other things, you need to improve fast."
He stood and prepared to leave.
"He is in his office as usual." Charles's mother said expecting a question from John.
John nodded and made his way toward the room.
July shifted her gaze toward her son and shook her head. His son was still a child after all. He could not even replay and stand firm. Well that was as expected even though he was already four star just like most adults surpassing his friends but he was still lacking experiences, pain and suffering to mold himself into a true man like his father after all. She should already feel very happy that her son was not lacking compared to other of his own generation. He trained everyday, he was hard working and determined but every parent would expect more from their children and their standard was even very high considering their status and level.
"Alright! Don't take it to heart, you are still growing and there is still a lifetime ahead of yourself. Eat some more and make your way toward the academy. Don't keep the girl waiting."
