"You're not a monster," I held his face between my hands, forcing him to look at me. "You have good in you, I have seen it. You just lost your way and it's time for you to come home." I sob out.
"B-but, I have done so much to you," he stuttered out as his voice shakes and his body trembles. I shake my head and my grip on him gets tighter, tears streaming rapidly down my face.
Releasing a shaky breath, I pull him closer to me and say, "I forgave you a long time ago. Listen to me when I tell you this. I love you, and nothing is going to change that."
I pulled him even closer, now clutching his head to my chest, right over my heart. Lightly shushing him and rubbing his head, I whisper, "we'll get through this." and kissed his head.
