Chapter 157 - Miss All Sunday

Upon his arrival in Arabasta, Crocodile quickly set up his headquarters in one of the few lively towns left. Rainbase provides a one-of-a-kind mix of enjoyment and amusement that sets it apart from other cities.

The opportunity where you can drink the best alcohol accompanied by a high-quality prostitute is a tempting lure for many, leading them to happily spend their money. This city is also constantly buzzing with energy, thanks to the casino.

Walking towards the center of the city, you'll be captivated by a stunning pyramid building that stands out with its exceptional grandeur. The steady flow of people coming in and out of the area caught the attention of those new to the city.

Perched atop the pyramid is a captivating gold crocodile head statue, accompanied by a bold inscription that reads "Rain Dinners."

This place is known as the largest casino in Rainbase and maybe even in the whole Arabasta region. There are hidden mysteries waiting to be discovered at this place, known to only a few.

While players immerse themselves in games such as blackjack, slots, and various other entertainments that bring either good fortune or deal with setbacks, unbeknownst to them, there is a secret room right below their feet, equally magnificent and vast.

Deep in the basement lies not the casino's money but the dwelling of a man named Crocodile. Now you will realize why so many crocodile-themed decorations are scattered around the casino.

The owner, Crocodile, decided to build his own underground base beneath his casino business.

Surrounded by a pool containing a vicious monster, Bananawani. These huge crocodiles have banana-shaped growths on their heads.

Crocodile relaxed on a luxurious couch, savoring his cigarette that seemed to never run out. He looks comfortable, stretching out his arms and legs.

Sitting beside him on the armrest was a woman with a purple cowgirl appearance. At first glance, some may have thought she was some kind of prostitute whose job was to serve Crocodile, but her calm demeanor suggested otherwise.

The woman opened up a handful of papers and began speaking in a light tone.

"We've found a man who appears to be the ideal candidate to lead the rebellion army. He has demonstrated remarkable intelligence by quickly seizing several cities with little opposition."

"I'm not worried about that. Any updates on our weapons? Have they arrived?"

Even though Crocodile is powerful as a Logia-type devil fruit user, he needs to gather his own army. At least, that's the minimum he has to do before overthrowing a kingdom.

"His name was Koza, a young man who had faced great hardships in his past. Eventually emerged as a key figure in leading the rebellion."

"Miss All Sunday, are you still going on about him?"

"Isn't it crucial to have a good understanding of the people you plan to collaborate with?... your way of killing your men just because they failed their mission once has put us at a slight disadvantage."

"Is there an issue with getting rid of those incompetent individuals?... You think, you're safe in your current position? If you show even the slightest flaw, I won't hesitate to get rid of you too."

Crocodile's voice became deep and intimidating. At the same time, Bananawani swam around the pool, growling repeatedly at the woman to display their ferocity.

Miss All Sunday smiled calmly, displaying no hint of being impacted by the pressure. She casually walked over to the table and grabbed her drink.

"I know about that, so I'll hold off on talking more about this subject..."

"We've made sure all the supplies our troops need are delivered, and they're all set up at their designated spots, ready and waiting for your commands," she continued.

Crocodile fell into a moment of silence, staring intently at the woman in front of him, trying to uncover any concealed secrets.

He snorted dismissively after not getting anything, then relaxed back onto the sofa.

"Remember the marines who recently arrived and dropped anchor on this island a few days ago!"

"I didn't realize you were curious about the arrival of this small group of marines."

Crocodile couldn't understand what amused her, but seeing Miss All Sunday giggling annoyed him. He started explaining the reasons for his suspicions, hoping to gain new insight into these marines.

"They have been in the old man's palace for quite some time. By now, I'm sure you also have your own suspicions, right?... I also got interesting information about them."

"You mean Captain Hina and another devil fruit user in their group?"

"Oh, so you already know, huh..."

Even though he started the conversation, it seemed like Miss All Sunday, appearing indifferent, knew more about these marines than he did.

"Considering the troops you've gathered and the Devil Fruit users under your control, I highly doubt the marine group will be much of a threat."

Even though he was annoyed, Crocodile couldn't help but see things from her point of view, wondering why he was so bothered by the presence of the marine. As a Warlord of the Sea, he had a deep understanding of the wide range of skills required of a captain.

"But if they manage to make it to marine headquarters during the rebellion, it might cause some problems for me. We should focus on securing the port and enhancing security measures. I'll make sure they are buried in the desert with the others."

"I understand. Then I won't bother you anymore."

Miss All Sunday casually strolled away, making her way up the stairs that led to the main floor of the casino. Everyone couldn't resist admiring and pondering about her as she walked past. While she always greeted them with a warm smile in return.

Outside the casino, there was another Bananawani waiting, although it was smaller and had a kind of saddle on its back. Its large snout and sharp teeth left people feeling fearful.

"How about I meet these marines? They seem quite interesting."

Miss All Sunday was already sitting on the crocodile's back when she quickly yanked the rope. Everyone was surprised by how quickly the crocodiles sprinted. After the sand dust cleared, they were nowhere to be seen.
