This was a cute girl that distanced herself away from others. Kai didn't know what she was vigilant about but he just shrugged and continued his act.
Just like that, he scanned almost all the teenagers that boarded the ship. There were about 20 people that successfully entered the ship, of course, including Kai and Arryn. It would be surprising for freaks like the both of them to be stopped by mere barrier.
The rest of the people could only shake their head in disappointment as they knew they didn't have the talents to be a cultivator. Some cried while some only started leaving in regrets.
Two Hours Later.....
Everybody that had met the requirement of the Talent Testing Barrier were already boarded on the ship. Currently, the ship was moving on the sea. Kai was staring at the horizons where the clouds met and got engaged. Then another little cloud separated from them and went to find other cloud to get engaged to. Like that, Kai watched as the clouds multiply. A thought came into his mind and he suddenly blushed.
"Why are you blushing?" Arryn who was beside him noticed and asked.
"What? No.. nothing!!! I mean, look at that boy there. What do you think of him?'' Kai's stuttering made her a little suspicious so he quickly changed the subject and pointed at a boy sitting alone at a corner. He looked cute and shy.
"What about him? I don't see any thing on him" Arryn said as she watched the boy sitting in a corner by himself.
"Can't you see he's a shy boy. Shouldn't you go to him and say 'hi, I'm a good person. why are you shy?'"
Kai suddenly felt Arryn's expression wasn't right. She had the expression of a person looking at an idiot. Kai suddenly felt wrong.
"Hey, stop staring at me like that?"
"If you didn't want to tell me what's in your mind, you could have just said so. Unless ya having evil thoughts" Arryn said before she went back to observing the ship. Kai couldn't refute her words as she was saying the truth. He was indeed having bad thoughts. He was personifying the clouds as him and Arryn. He didn't even know why he had that thought.
Arryn was observing the ship. The Blue Ship was huge and could carry more than a hundred people on it. The ship was surrounded by a strange energy which kept it moving forward. It has no steering equipment or flags etc. It doesn't look like pirate ships either. Inside the Blue Ship, was a very spacious ground where all the teenagers were gathered. They were around twenty six teenagers in number.
Some of them were alone, minding their own business while some were with their partners. As for the woman, she was nowhere in sight. Arryn was still doing her observations when she noticed Kai was no longer by her side. She also noticed a loud commotion was erupting as some of the teenagers gathered together.
Arriving there, she saw a beautiful girl in a fight against a large boy. She was skillfully moving quickly around the large boy. The large boy couldn't touch her hair as she was too fast for him. Same goes to the girl as she couldn't hurt him one bit.
She suddenly came close to him and her palms started glowing orange. She thrust her palms forward and hit the boy's back and then she quickly retreats.
"Boom"
A small explosion erupted from his back, burning away his clothes but his skin wasn't burnt a bit. There was no scratch or burnt mark on him. The boy only got angrier but he stopped fighting and only glared at her. She was also glaring at him and then, she snorted before leaving the area.
Everybody started dispersing to their respective spot and also told the ones that did not witness the fight. Arryn was still looking for a certain boy who she saw approaching the girl that was fighting with the large boy earlier. She didn't follow him and only watched what he was doing.
"Hello, my name is Kai" Kai approached the fiery girl to start a conversation.
"Go on" She nodded.
"..." Awkward
"I mean, won't you tell me your name? I want to know the name of the wielder of such a great talent" Of course, Kai already knew her name. She was one of the people he scanned. Anyone would feel suspicious when a stranger suddenly call them by his/her name. That's why Kai asked like a gentle man and flashed a gentle smile towards her.
Arryn who was at the side couldn't help but roll her eyes and face palm herself at his antics.
"Remi Drascum. What do you want?" Remi looked at the masked boy in front of her with little to no interest. Even though she knew he definitely had a handsome face behind that mask, she still had that carefree expression on her face.
"Nothing much, I just wanna be your friend. Do you mind?" Kai said as he pushes his hand out for a shake.
Remi looked at his outstretched palm and was about to ignore it before she changed her mind and shook it "Sure, I could be your friend. From now on, you are my friend" she said before withdrawing her hand.
Kai was surprised at how easy the process went. 'Something is wrong somewhere' He looked at his hands and felt it tingling. 'Oh Shit!'
"Boom"
An orange light flashed and an explosion erupted from Kai's palm. The palm had became red and was oozing out smokes. Kai blew the smoke away with his mouth and then observed the palm. Other than it being a little red and oozing out smoke, it was perfectly fine.
"So cool yet so painful" Kai said as he looked at his palm.
Remi on the other hand was surprised to see that Kai's palm was perfectly okay. She had expected bloody burnt palm but everything was okay. She started to look at Kai in different light.
"What was that all about Remi? I thought we were friends" Kai pouted.
"Well sorry, that's how we make friends in my place" Remi told him a random excuse she made up.
Arryn was watching them. She was about to step out when she saw Kai shaking Remi's hand but she held herself back. What she was fearing for happened as the Kai's palm sudden exploded. Thankfully, Kai was quite durable as he was perfectly fine.
Just like that, he started conversing with the girl. He sat down beside her and asked "So why are you here?"
"Excuse me? What do you mean by that?" Remi asked with a frown on her face.
"I mean, you have a reason to wanna attempt cultivation?" Kai quickly rephrased his words.
"Do you need a reason to start cultivation? Wasn't cultivation something anybody must do?"
"Yes, you do need to have a reason to attempt cultivation. Cultivation is not something anybody could do or must do. You might be a chosen offspring of Heaven but its still up to you to decide if ya wanna cultivate. You can decide if ya wanna use that talent of yours to cultivate or live a normal life.
No one would query you, well, if all goes well, no one will query you. For example, I wanna cultivate mainly because, I want to take revenge on my clan's extermination and also find my lost brother.
That's why you should also have a reason to want to cultivate" Kai finished his sentence with a motivated expression. His eyes for some seconds seems to emit hatred and hope. He clenched his fists tightly for a while.
Remi felt surprised. Honestly, this was the first time she ever felt she needed a reason to emback on a cultivation journey. She was a carefree and indifferent person, she never cared about most things. Since she live in a cultivation world, she just concluded that she should also try cultivation. For that, she was only half right. Now Kai's words have started to change her mindset, she now wanted to have a reason for cultivation.
