The chive pockets had all sold out, so Ella Charles went to the market to restock.
When Ella saw Victoria, she greeted her, but Victoria acted indifferently and even cast a disdainful glance at Ella.
Ella was puzzled and only after a few seconds did she ask, "Victoria, what's wrong with you today?"
Victoria replied with displeasure, her tone tinged with sarcasm, "Ella, are you really clueless, or are you just pretending? I've always thought highly of you, as a decent person, but I never expected you would raise a child like that. It's truly disappointing."
Ella furrowed her brows, "Victoria, can you be more specific? I don't understand what you mean! What kind of child have I raised? What's wrong with Grace? Did she offend you?"
Victoria looked around and then pulled Ella into a deserted corner, "Tell me, do you know that Grace is in Serene City?"
Suddenly, Ella's eyes widened in surprise, "Grace has been in Kyoto all this time! It's impossible for her to be in Serene City!"
