Chapter 132 - Storyline Sense

Alice did as he said and stationed herself right on the sofa while tinkering on her phone since Noah wouldn't let up. She went through the photos on her phone editing the color scale of one picture that Claudia took of her while she was standing next to the fountain in the academy on a sunny day.

Her album list was getting smaller of the photos that she saw had potential, so she would have to go out soon and take a lot of pictures and store them to post at a later date.

Her photo buzzed with people commenting on her posts, and messages from people who wanted to hang out. Alice didn't prefer to go out like she used to just a few years ago.

People luckily seemed to understand that, but there were times when people got a bit bratty especially when it came to mixers where the amount of people was off. Then again, a lot of times she also heard that if she didn't go then another guy wouldn't go which put more pressure on her.

She would always say that she was working, and it was enough to get them off her back after she shut it down in the nicest way possible. Even then, she knew that Noah would do the same thing as her, so they never saw each other outside of school even before they were around each other normally now. Once again, another reason why they likely got along well.

Alice hummed as she played around with edits and did her best to make sure that all the photos fit cohesively into her feed she was practically her baby. Pretty pastels with softer lighting add to the whimsical feeling of a normal girl going through her daily life documenting the highlight reels in her own way.

For those who would judge her for being on social media often, she truly did work hard for it. It was one of those things where she felt like she had a good sense for and was able to navigate well. One thing that she was getting school about not navigating well was the guy who was looming over her shoulder.

"That one looks nice."

Alice smiled since it was always Noah coming in clutch when it was it was about her photos. He clearly had a preference since in most of the ones that he chose, she was facing the camera at a slight angle with a touch of a smile on her lips rather than a somewhat coy and cute one when she was posing for the camera.

He gave her a cup of hot chocolate in a small white mug, and she accepted it gracefully over her shoulder as if it were a gift for efforts. Noah sat next to her while she pressed her lips gently to the rim of the cup, not wanting to burn her mouth after puffing a small gust of air into the steaming mug trying her best to cool it.

Noah took it from her hands after a bit to cool it himself after deciding to turn on the flat-screen television in front of them. "What do you want to watch?"

"I'm down for anything," Alice answered as she passed him a pillow to place behind his back since he was hunched over slightly.

He took it without words and leaned back on it as he tried to figure out what they should watch. Dozens of countless large names whizzed by on the screen with lots of popular names skirting by as well until Noah settled down on a sci-show which she caught to be about some sort of spaceship from the blurb.

She wasn't able to figure out what it was when Noah pressed play with the screen immediately enlarging. Alice leaned back on the plush sofa to match his comfortable posture with her arms crossed as her head tilted toward his. "Hm, I don't think I've ever heard of this one before. Is it horror?"

Noah laughed. "It's good, but how did you get horror?"

"What's with the cold feet in the corner?" Alice said while pointing to the corner of the screen where the edge of the room was a pale object.

Noah snickered. "That's a stove pan, darling."

"What? Really?"

"It's not anything too scary. Some thriller and suspense at times, but it is more of a long drama than anything," he said. "The storyline is really good."

"Says the guy who likes to listen to scary audiobooks," she said with a fake pout.

"But I'm down. If you like it, I'm sure I will too."

A touch of a smile graced his lips. "Sit back and enjoy, Alice."

The show started with a large boom, and her attention begrudgingly moved on from her own handsome lead to the one on the screen. To Noah's credit, the show was as good as he said with the subtle storyline embedded in every scene. The action wasn't too obscene, and they got into a quiet rhythm.
