Chapter 100 - Sweet Melon Flavor

She didn't add any other filters onto the photos that she had already set aside since the aesthetic that she was going for to match the rest of her feed, but the other matter was because Noah was looking over her shoulder, and she added the one that he picked out to a gallery of the ones that she was also had pinned.

Alice couldn't put a finger on it, but it also gave a somber feel for some reason with her eyes being cast away with a glistening sheen. The wash of blue and lavender didn't help either, and she finally drew up her final draft into her upload page and quickly ran through the photos one last time before pressing the post button.

Her feed went to the new photo that she had just posted, and there was a sudden influx of likes to her photo which made her notifications start flying. Alice switched her notifications off in shock as she forgot to change it earlier, but her phone was already going off the rails. She sighed as she finally got her phone to go silent before pulling up the app once more.

She hearted the comments that caught her attention and scrolled all the way to the bottom to read the earlier ones, and a smile came to her face at their kind words. Alice stood up when Claudia came back into the room after taking her sweet sweet time, but either than that, Claudia inched her way closer to the door.

"Ready to take off?" Claudia asked.

He pushed her over to the doors. "Let's just go."

"I'm already heading over there," Claudia muttered.

Alice wasn't able to catch the rest of their words, but they went along the lines of "What did you just say to me?" and "I hope you fall over, and don't get up." Alice covered her chuckle from the unexpected comments with a cough, but she caught the slight tilt of Noah's lips as he turned away from her.

She walked ahead from the living room and out of the door only to laugh when she saw the two start wrestling outside, and once her laughter receded, she waved her hands between the two to get them to stop. Noah closed the front door behind them after making sure that everyone had all of their belongings.

They all but skipped out of the building with another nod to the receptionist and out of the luxurious condominium and out onto the street. Rowan said that there was a convenience store nearby, and he was correct in the sense that it was literally right below them in an undercave that held a lot of random stores that were also a part of the large street.

Alice and Claudia were getting distracted, but the boys yanked them along to their true destination rather than the crepe place that they were looking at. Alice made a mental note to come back and try it later because the ones on the display were absolutely gorgeous and seemed even more delightful inside her mouth.

She stopped herself from being preoccupied by other thoughts once they entered the convenience store which gave her a home feel considering that it was what surrounded her for most of her life. She had the habit of inspecting other convenience stores when she went into others since there was always something to improve in the one back home.

Claudia must have caught Alice lurking around quietly, inching her way forward as she scanned her eyes around the aisle with the stacked foods when she tried to drag her over to where the ice cream was located since Alice was almost on the verge of peeping around to see the most random intel that she could get.

Alice groaned and tried to stop their walk as if she was a turbulent child. "I didn't even do anything yet, Claudia."

"Hey, hey, we're off work today," Claudia sang. "You can't be letting your attention stray."

She poked her friend's side. "Ha, as if I didn't see you get enamored by the crepes back there."

"You're the accomplice to everything I am, darling," Claudia winked.

Alice ran a hand down a wrinkle in her skirt before bumping shoulders with her. "I am flattered as always."

The guys were talking very seriously about which ice cream they should get when she and Claudia got there. Noah was holding a strawberry popsicle in one hand and a chocolate bar in the other. Rowan was rummaged through the sliding door of the ice cream container before bringing out another grape soda flavored ice shavings making Noah shake his nose.

"Grape is so underrated," Claudia said slowly.

"No, it's just nasty," Rowan interjected.

Alice dug into the cold cavern and bit down on her lip as she made her decision when her hand made contact with a melon popsicle which she had often. It was a good go-to, so she knew that it was going to have a good feeling regardless. She withdrew from the ice cream holding and pointed to the strawberry.

Noah lifted the strawberry popsicle in question, and Alice nodded. "That strawberry one is good. What's your sweetness level?"

"I don't really have an opinion."
