They all made it to the top floor of Carver Hall after much of their random banter and endeavors. Alice watched as Claudia walked over to the large wall of windows with her arms crossed that gave a perfect view of the people coming into the building as well as the scenery nearby with the bridge and the pagoda that was located to the right of Carver Hall.
From this view, it was the perfect spot to watch people come and go or just to space off in general. The windows were also cracked open, so there was fresh air to lighten up the space as well. The windows were made differently for the sense of safety considering that they didn't open all the way.
However, Alice was pleasantly surprised when she realized that there was no one on the floor besides her group since it was the perfect spot to get work done. She would love to take the quietness for them to gather their thoughts and strike their next move.
Noah leaned down, and her body immediately tensed up when his physical presence came close to hers with his lips next to her ear. "Relax. We'll get through the project, so don't be too uptight about it."
Alice tilted her head slightly to the side before dipping her chin into a nod and whispered her response. "I got it."
He pulled away from her, his cool warmth leaving her, knowing that it was all a contradiction in the end. Both his weird body heat and her odd feelings that would take both ends of the train.
Alice flicked her eyes around the room once more and took in the way the sunlight fell on the walls. Carver Hall wasn't a popular space for most students in the end with them coming at an odd time, it would made sense that they had all the area to themselves.
"What are you doing?" Alice asked as she went to stand next to Claudia while patting her bottom playfully.
"People watching of course," Claudia answered before squeezing her side teasingly.
"Any other ideas besides that extremely fun activity?" Alice pondered making Claudia snicker. "We can't just be waiting up here for a long time."
"Well, we don't have to," Noah said slowly.
Alice gave him a confused look as she processed his words. "Huh?"
He spun her around, and she grabbed onto his shirt for stability. When her vision stopped moving, she smacked his arm. "What is it?"
"There are people in the study rooms here. Do you want to ask?"
"You could have just told me," Alice said as she tilted her head to the side to try and crane to get a better view over his shoulder.
"We can do our camera set up here and ask them to come over then."
"That's works," Rowan agreed.
"Hopefully they say yes," Claudia added.
Rowan started to unwind cords. "Do you want us to go instead?"
Claudia scoffed. "Nothing would change."
"Are you sure?" Rowan interjected. "If anything, Noah and I would be able to get more participation."
Alice laughed. "We all can't just cram in there."
Rowan glanced over at Noah who shrugged. "I'm fine with either."
"Okay, we'll leave it up to you two then," Claudia said as she looped her arm through Alice's.
"I swear this isn't a competition?" Alice phrased a question piece by piece.
Claudia tilted her head. "It's not darling. Now, let's go find those study rooms."
Alice pointed ahead of them. "Well, lead the way."
She and Claudia went over to the study that was located to the right wing of the top floor where there was a section that had little rooms tucked away with all the newest technology with other aid that could be found in the rooms that had comfortability factor turned up to the max with sofas and pillows with plush chairs.
Alice felt weird to stare through the window to see if there were people inside, and she eventually decided to knock on the door first knowing that it was a bit of an uptight action to do.
The door swung without so much of a pause, and Alice stepped back in surprise only to put a hand in front of Claudia when the guy was standing a little bit too close.
"Hello," Claudia greeted to break the ice with Alice getting a glimpse inside the room to see three other guys inside the room along with the dude that was standing with them at the moment. Alice didn't recognize any of the faces, so she didn't think that they were third years yet still made the decision to go over the facts.
"We're conducting an interview and wondering what year you are all in to be able to partake in it," Claudia said smoothly.
The guy leaned his arm above the door. "I'm a second year."
"That will work," Claudia confirmed. "If you are all open, we would love to get started with an interview."
"I feel like I've seen you around though," the guy continued to mutter without any regard for them at all.
There was male laughter in the back. "You've seen her around dude. Alice."
I've seen you around Alice. Pretty face by the way."
Alice slid a discrete look over to Claudia for her to get an eye full of this fool, but she continued to keep her smile plastered on her face. "Oh yeah? How about you come over in front of the camera so that you can also measure up?"
He leaned over. "I would love to."
