Chapter 69 - Efficacious Energy

Alice ended up sitting for the next time a foul was called, and she watched as the referee tried to duke it out with the players. It eventually came time for her, Claudia's, and Sophie's homeroom to come out, and they cheered loudly as they got geared up for their match that would determine if they were in to win it.

Alice laughed lightly to herself at that thought since she could tell that the guys who were chosen to do so for the team were not excited to be there. Tristan had a headband that pushed back his hair which was funny to look at since she had never seen his forehead before due to his messy hair which was mostly a signature look for him.

Along with Daniel who seemed so tired as he was stretching which was such a mood, and there was Jordan in the back with lots of energy that made Owen irritated since was trying to warm out without distraction. Luke was dribbling the ball around waiting for the timer to go down, and Alice tilted her head to try and figure out where Noah would fit into the equation.

Maybe lying on the ground with his hand tossed over his eyes until he actually needed to get up. She smiled at the thought and realized that Noah was definitely an introverted person who didn't tend to make the first move despite people most often waiting for him to do so. He just wanted to lay back and do nothing.

He was lazy in the way that he wanted to relax and enjoy the flow of life as it was. The way he was able to kick back was one way that she envied him since she did try hard to live in the present considering that most of the time she was always planning for the future and doing things that would be of help for her in the long run.

She turned her phone around to see that Noah had texted her an atrocious message that said 'Wish my boys good luck" After she was notified that their team would be playing any time the numbers on the screen started sliding down hill. Alice rolled her eyes and texted back that thought that would reassure him in a good measure.

Alice: They will do well either way/

Noah: That is true.

Noah: Looks like I'll just have to keep your wishes to myself.

Alice: That's not the case. I'll send them good energy.

The game started off well with her team connecting passes and such, and Claudia cheered for the guys even as they fell face flat on the dirt. Alice knew that it hurt, but she yelled for them to get up and keep on moving. The boys that normally messed around in class were putting in all their effort to put in a goal against the team with pink bands.

They were doing well until Tristan couldn't receive a ball up top which only racked havoc to the back for Owen and Jordan since they had to chase after the fast forwards of the other team. Covering her groan as the other team got a goal in, Alice continued to yell out kind remarks which would get different responses from the guys.

Jordan would be happy to hear the encouragement while Owen twisted away, and Tristan would motion for them to be quiet. It was hilarious to see, and Claudia burst out laughing when they saw them get into a pyramid pose with them on their hands and feet stacked on each other with Tristan at the top for the photo of the yearbook club.

Alice sighed at their antics knowing that it was quite tame for what she had heard and seen in class every day and had to deal with along with the others. The game resumed in good spirits as the boys were able to get their confidence back up with more goals that Luke would make after Daniel was able to push them up.

The whistle from the referee blew as the timer stopped, and Alice clapped her hands to cheer on the victory for their homeroom class. It looked like they had a long way to go to make it to the top, but it was a good time for them to rest a little bit before they were put on the chopping block once again to weed out some teams.

Sophie ran a hand through her auburn hair. "That was such a stressful game."

Claudia nodded. "Once they were able to pull their heads out from under their feet, they were doing well."

Alice laughed at the visual. "I don't think they were doing that bad."

"Well, I'll give them a bit of credit," Claudia agreed. "I want to see those photos the yearbook has thought later."

"To cut them out and stick them onto their desks in the morning," Carissa piped in.

Alice shook her head with a laugh. "That's horrible. Let's not do that, and cause trouble to get Mr. Beckham in our class to watch over us."
