We knew there was always danger lurking near the city walls every night. But nothing serious enough for anyone to go through with their lives. At least we haven't seen any monster attacks in the area for quite some time. But to think we're under attack now, that's unexpected. What kind of threat does the enemy bring? Will they try to take control of the capital? Or maybe destroy it completely?
That's terrifying news.
My mind immediately went to the worst-case scenario. If the enemies attack, will we be able to defend ourselves properly? How many soldiers are available? Could we defeat these attackers easily? Are we prepared for this?
All sorts of questions ran across my head instantly.
But Kather on the other was shocked to hear it for only a split second as she was prepared, as she was one of the captains in the army. She seemed calm despite knowing this sudden attack. But I guess she is used to it by now.
