I nod to Tiona and start running again. My eyes never leave the King Slime as it glares at me.
The King Slime must have felt that my sword is now strong enough to pierce through its skin because it starts to move backward.
But then, the King Slime stops moving altogether and opens its mouth wide. A stream of fire shoots out of the gaping maw and goes straight toward me.
I jump to the side and avoid the flames by a hairbreadth. I was surprised to see that the King Slime was shooting out fire from its mouth but I'm relieved to know that it has no other attack than shooting fire for now.
As I evade the flames, I look up to check on the King Slime and find it opening its mouth once more.
I prepare myself for another blast of fire when suddenly, I notice that the King Slime's mouth is glowing brightly.
