A man in his late twenties could be seen walking towards the bank.
He seemed to be not in his best state, as he had a very depressed look on his face and bags under his eyes.
He was 1.8 metres tall and had short black hair and black eyes with an average looking face. His back was hunched over as if he carried the weight of the whole world.
Soon he entered the bank to withdraw money from his account. He went near a withdrawing machine and inserted his card. He casually checked his balance only to find that it was just a paltry amount of 12 dollars.
"Sigh~ I have to start looking for a part time job." he muttered under his breath.
Just when he was about to exit the bank
Aachoo~
Nothing happened, he just sneezed and exited the bank.
He didn't withdraw any money, rather he couldn't because the bank's minimum deposit was 12 dollars, so he left the money in the account.
He quickly went back to his dilapidated apartment and changed his clothing. He wore a plain T-shirt and a jeans pant which had its colour faded due to excessive washing.
He lived alone in his apartment. He didn't have parents or siblings. His parents died when he was in college. After college he joined the army where he served for a few years and retired from his service because he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
He was in the early stages so he could still function normally for most of the time. But the effects would kick in whenever he was in emotional turmoil, be it happiness, stress or sadness.
He headed towards a nearby mall to look for jobs to do, in one of the stores. He had lost all his money to an online scammer but he didn't bother complaining to the authorities since it wasn't that much money and the authorities would ignore his complaint after some time anyway.
Soon he started asking around the stores to find a job but most of the time he was rejected or he was asked to overwork.
He entered an elevator to go to the next floor. Soon the elevator was filled with people.
Due to being trained in the army he was very good at keeping an eye on his surroundings.
So he clearly noticed a man carrying a backpack who had a flustered look on his face standing near the door of the elevator.
After reaching the next floor most of the people got out, seeing as the man was leaving he quickly followed him feeling suspicious.
He followed the man into the washroom where he saw the man entering one of the cubicles.
He pressed his ears against the door of the cubicle to hear the sound coming from inside.
He heard the sound of a zipper being opened. 'Please let it be a pant zipper' he preyed to all the gods he knew.
But soon instead of hearing the sound of farting he heard clinking sounds.
Cursing his bad luck, he kicked open the door to see the man fixing a bomb to the toilet seat.
The man quickly took out his gun to shoot him but he kicked the man in the balls before he could pull the trigger.
The man slumped to the ground groaning in pain. He pushed the man aside and took his gun and went to diffuse the bomb.
There was one red and green button on the bomb. It was also fixed with a timer and he had less than ten seconds to diffuse the bomb.
'Shit! If I press the wrong button everything will go up in smoke. Usually these guys try to confuse the bomb diffusers by making the green button as a detonator. I am going to press the red button'
He was in an extremely stressful state. Just as he was about to press the red button his hand started shaking crazily.
Instead of pressing the red button he pressed the green one just below it.
Suddenly the timer stopped and the bomb did not detonate.
'Holy shit! Thank god for giving me this disease or else, hehe, everyone in the mall would have died.'
Bang~
He heard a gunshot and turned around to see the terrorist holding another gun in his hand.
The bullet pierced through his heart and he fell on the floor in pain.
As he was closing his eyes awaiting his death, the last thought that ran through his mind was that he had informed the mall authorities before kicking open the door.
*******
"Hey bro, wake up" he heard a voice calling to him.
He woke up to find face to face with a guy wearing a white robe.He looked like a young man in his early twenties.
"Huh? Where am I?" He looked around to find himself sitting in a sea of clouds. Everything was covered with floating clouds as far as his eyes could see.
"You are in my domain. You came here after you died. Man, what a death it was." the white robed guy replied.
"Are you God?" He questioned.
"Well you could say that if you want to brag to others how you met a god." said the guy chuckling.
"Why would I do that? People will think I am crazy" he retorted.
"Hmm. That's true. Nevermind that, let's talk about why you are here. You saved thousands of people by your heroic actions. Some of the people you saved went on to become great people who changed the direction of that world. Because of that you have gained a staggering amount of good karma. That's why you get to spin the Golden Wheel of Reincarnation"
Suddenly a gigantic wheel made of gold appeared in front of him. It was so huge that he looked like an ant compared to it. It was full of scribblings.
"See that wheel? Say 'start' to spin it and 'stop' to stop it. Wherever the pointer stops you get that power and place mentioned."
"Go on, don't be shy, say 'start' " the guy said.
"Start" he said.
The wheel started to spin at incredible speed.
"Don't worry, it's the Golden Wheel of Reincarnation. Everything on it is good stuff." the guy informed.
He nodded his head and said "Stop"
The wheel stopped spinning and the pointer pointed to some tiny words written on the wheel. Soon the wheel disappeared and those tiny words appeared in his mind.
"Limitless Physique and Cultivation World"
(A/N: Refer to README chapter for discription of the power)
"Hahaha, I told you, you will only get good stuff from this wheel."
He had some idea about what those words meant and he was extremely excited now. He had read novels and watched anime when he was in college. In fact he scored significantly less marks in his final exams because of watching too much anime and reading novels. That's why he had decided to join the army.
"Alright then, down you go" with that the guy pushed him down.
Before he could scream he woke up drenched in sweat in a shabby looking house.
