The duo ventured through the dungeon. The monsters that guard it are menaces for they keep popping out of nowhere. Liang Ri is able to use some of the health potions they collected from the treasure chests. She is pretty skeptical of using runes. These are consumable items that give buffs to the user. Because of it's ominous design, she doesn't want to use it. Jessica is the one who greatly benefits from them.
They sometimes get equipment, yet Jessica doesn't seem to be using some them. She prefers using the arm guards and the boots she collected. The armors does not suit her because of how they look. "I am a Mage, not a Knight." she mumbled. If anything, she wants an enchanted robe and a mage hat.
The two finds a big door with a strange glyphs etched on it. "If I have to guess, this room is the boss room I've talked about." said Jessica. Liang Ri sits down then suggests they should take a rest before entering. Jessica likes the suggestion. "I will be whipping lunch. Hold on." said she as she browse through her inventory. This makes Liang Ri interested.
Jessica's inventory is limitless. Yet it raised difficulty of finding the right item. All items are stored by alphabetical order. Jessica took at least 3 minutes to find all she needs. The preparation is done and the cooking begins. It is another simple meal called Chowder. It is a combination of rice, noodles, salt, water, and ground beef. Taste is not grand but edible.
Liang Ri is astonished by this meal. It actually contains spiritual qi and cultivation base. "By simply eating this, one can become stronger." she said with delight. "Oh, you're one of those people." said Jessica sarcastically. The meal helped Liang Ri strengthen her Gold Spiritual Root. Her abilities will be much greater than before.
"If we defeat the demon, will we able to leave this place?" asked Liang Ri. Jessica thinks about it then answered, "Pretty much. I entered alot of dungeons and the only way out is to defeat the boss and exit through a portal." Liang Ri is satisfied with the answer.
The rest is ongoing and Liang Ri takes this chance to cultivate. A yellow barrier surrounds her and protects her from the miasma. Jessica takes time to think what should she use. Because the enemies are undead, there is no doubt that the boss is related to undead. She remembers that Holy Powers are effective against evil.
"I guess this spell can be used for attacking." said Jessica then upgraded this spell to level 7. Liang Ri is finished cultivating. "I am ready. You are?" asked Liang Ri. "You bet I am." said Jessica confidently.
